This past Sunday was Dawoud's birthday and I planned the best surprise EVER! He's been wanting a cat for so long, and I'm so excited to watch this little guy grow with us inshAllah. Welcome to the family Floki!

My grandma is addicted to cats, so we have 7 strolling around the house Alhamdullilah, we have 2 ragdoll girls, 2 persian boys, a burmese and a siamese cross girl, a tonkinese girl and a scottish fold boy. Honestly having them around you just makes your day! Most people describe my home as a cat cafe! We also lay extra beds outside our house for cats to sleep in during the winter because we have alot of cats on our street that get prey to the foxes.So this is also a very helpful thing!

Also on the note of cats, cuddling them is wonderful, and at the same time when they fall asleep on you it puts you in a difficult spot because you don’t want to move. When I got my burmese girl; Morrighan, the breeder told me to put her on my lap and pet her for a bit but after a while, I had to use the toilet so I had to figure out the best way to move her. And then she was a bit hostile towards me for the first few days of having her

@@resplndntIn terms of food we tend to buy massive boxes at Costco, they tend to last us about 2 months that contains around 60 sachets of wet food but we only use half a sachet for each cat, for dry food our cats don't eat that much only when they fancy. So it's not that much of a priority, but it will is if you know what I mean. Also for litter boxes the boxes we actually got for free thanks to my uncle we have 6 boxes each breed shares one and an extra one for the cats on our street, it does cost slot though and it includes slot of hard work!!
Please take the food out in a plate as there is a risk that they can cut their tongue if the can has a sharp edge that happened whilst opening it xxx
Shams91 yes thats true!! I put it in front of him so that he can smell it and get a little excited so that I can get him to come out and eat properly lol. But for sure, we got him his own little bowl and he’s comfortable enough now to eat around us! 😍
I found from that it’s also better to use ceramic or metal bowls because they’re easier to clean and less likely to irritate their skin

So cute! I always wanted a cat but we didn't have any pets growing up. Dad was against them. Then I got married and for our second wedding anniversary, my amazing MIL got me a kitten. He's three now 🐈💕

I just want to let everyone to know (I really hope I’m not coming off rude I just wanna Inform people) buying cats from breeders isn’t ideal, shelters have to deal with having hundreds to thousands of animals coming in because of overpopulation issues with animals and we just don’t need to make anymore of them. I’m not going to bash you for buying from a breeder but I just don’t want others to go and do the same! Adopt from a shelter instead because they’re trying to help the issue rather than making it worse!

Very well said! I’m happy this cute kitten is now in a loving home, but I’m not a big fan of breeders :(. I rescued 3. Two bonded brothers from humane society, and one from a rescue group where the kittens mom was hit by a car when they were on the streets.

Sara Tiara yes! I’ve adopted two cats before and I totally agree, adopting is the way to go. In this case though, Dawoud wanted a specific cat (one that you can’t find through adoption) and I was willing to get him it if it meant he would learn to be more comfortable around cats and let me have one in the house lol. But I totally agree with you, I always recommend adoption over breeders & hopefully one day we can adopt another cat & add it to our growing family! ❤️
