Wouldn't say more reponsible since Bruce brought him in and raised him but Batman can be quite a jerk (especially in the 90's) and aloof and not have the best parenting skills but he really cares about Dick. So much that Dick is arguably the one he's the most proud of out of all Robins and the one he sees as leading the Justice League one day. Dick is also pretty friendly with the superhero community to the point the entire JSA helped him move to a new apartment so it makes sense that Bruce expects that he will go to do greater things. Superman is more like the cool uncle. Dick looks up to him and seeks him for guidance and advice especially when he can't talk to Bruce for whatever reason. Supes doesn't see himself as his father or mentor, but as a friend. Even if Dick looks up to him Superman always treated him like an equal which is something Dick appreciates. Which is why the Nightwing identity being inspired by both Batman and Superman seems pretty fitting.

I've got the 1988 comic where Nightwing actually teaches Jason Todd the ropes because he makes mistakes tracking down drug operations. Then after Jason Todd dies Dick Grayson takes up the Batman title with Tim Drake as Robin while Batman back is healing . Then Dick Grayson takes up the cowl a second time for Batman's biological son , because Dick Grayson has a history of being more patient and detailed information about being a wingman.
I just love how the rest of the JLA has great respect towards Nightwing treating him like an equal. I think the reason behind that is because they can always count on Nightwing if they need his help.
I was waiting for this one I have always been a huge Nightwing fan, he's my favorite DC character. I always find it interesting that he's considered the greatest HUMAN acrobat/gymnast in DC being the only person that can do a quadruple somersault. Which is how Tim Drake discovered his identity when he remembered that the Flying Graysons were the only family that was known to be able to do this feat

Great video. Dick Grayson is one of the most relatable superheros out there. Reminds me a lot of Hawkeye in that respect. I particularly enjoy him as Batman. I'd love to see him takeover that mantle again.
I like Batman firing Nightwing because he gets scared after the joker shoots him better than getting fired because he wasn't giving his all as a sidekick. That should have been kept as the original story before it got retconned. I feel it gave more heart to Batman's character. Oh and Starfire is better than Barbara.
Nightwing Rebirth has been a lot of fun to watch and I cant get enough of it. I'm so proud Dick Grayson is getting his own series and it is indeed worth reading. Nightwing is indeed one of my favs and I cant wait to see where it all goes in the DC Rebirth Stories

I wholeheartedly believe that Nightwing would arguably be the most efficient vigilante in the real world if he existed. Of course there are more powerful heroes, but the real world doesn't have superpowers, and Nightwing has the efficiency of Batman and the compassion of Superman, and I think that's exactly what the world would need.

The bat writers Retconned dick Grayson history and his first 21 years life to erase the importance of the titans , he was mainly a titan character for 14 years .

You forgot to mention after being a bartender Dick joined the police academy and became a police officer. That was one of my favorite story lines and the art was awesome.
This video actually highlights some of the saddest aspects of Nightwing for me because he is such a cool character but he is constantly being used as a batman stand in. Even when they listed his rouges gallery it was a total of what? 4 people? and even then, 2 of them are semi-batman villains anyway and Nightwing deserves so much more than that. Still, happy to see he's getting some love.

But the most disturbing find he does is when he goes to the Titans tower and finds Raven's room completely ravaged, there was NO way Deathstroke could have abducted Raven from the Titans tower, she would have seen it coming with her emphatic powers and she's far stronger than Deathstroke is. Barbara Gordon was 8 years older than dick , she was a librarian when he was a teen , she was a congresswoman when he was in college , Barbara was created in the late 60s but didn't have any meaningful romantic moment with dick until the middle of the 90s , it's mostly retcons . The bat writers Retconned dick Grayson history and his first 21 years life to erase the importance of the titans , he was mainly a titan character for 14 years .

I just want a movie/series starring Nightwing
This video actually highlights some of the saddest aspects of Nightwing for me because he is such a cool character but he is constantly being used as a batman stand in. Even when they listed his rouges gallery it was a total of what? 4 people? and even then, 2 of them are semi-batman villains anyway and Nightwing deserves so much more than that. Still, happy to see he's getting some love.

In addition to the titles you've mentioned, I should mention one more. "The Judas contract" of the 1984 New Teen titans series, because of it showing just how much of a bad ass Dick Grayson is, from the moment Deathstroke appears in his apartment and addresses him by his name.

Because Dick Grayson then provokes Deathstroke and have him throw him toward the window and jumping from it, using his jacket to slow the fall down and his acrobat reflexes to come down in a way which doesn't severely hurt him.
We then get to see Dick's detective skills which he honed with working at Batman for so many years at work as he visits the homes of his team mates who have been captured by Deathstroke, looking at the scenes and the clues he finds and making all the right conclusions.
- Starfire's house is wrecked and Dick finds the remnants of a device which was send to her with a forged "Dick Grayson" signature, she opened it and it had exploded, knocking her out.
- At Wondergirl's photo studio he finds that Deathstroke had substituted chemical developer for sulfuric acid which when combined with the alcohol Wondergirl was about to use to develop the pictures, formed a powerful sedating gas.
- At Cyborg's place he finds that Deathstroke had tempered with a chair which electrocuted Cyborg as he sat down.
- Beast Boy's family says he's not there when Grayson called them up.
But the most disturbing find he does is when he goes to the Titans tower and finds Raven's room completely ravaged, there was NO way Deathstroke could have abducted Raven from the Titans tower, she would have seen it coming with her emphatic powers and she's far stronger than Deathstroke is. The fact that the evidence tells him that there's no outside break in and that Raven never got a chance to fight back, leads him to a disturbing conclusion: this was an inside job.

So why does this all make Dick Grayson such a bad ass?
- He never loses his cool
- From the moment Deathstroke calls him by his name he starts thinking, calculating every possible scenario on how Deathstroke found out.
- His escape from Deathstroke by having the latter throw him toward the window and putting years of training as both a circus acrobat and at Batman's side as Robin to very good use to survive the drop.
- His detective skills as he visits the homes of his team mates, is such a cool scene.
- He bests an enemy who has super powers and does so in a way which makes the latter look stupid.
- He does all of that without freaking out.
