Alot of people hate Damian because he's a self entitled brat, but everyone forgets that he was raised by assassins to be a ruthless weapon and he is Bruce Wayne's son and remember, Bruce isn't that much of a likeable person

In my opinion, damian is much more than his arrogance and hard shell. He is compassionate, loving, caring and willing to make a change. That is what actually makes a hero. You just have to keep looking into the character
Exactly! I feel like the writers creating all these new characters *cough cough* new warriors *cough cough* are only focusing on surface level things like race, gender, and appearance. Never mind the fact that what people actually want to see is: why is this character here and what made them who they are today? Why do they make the choices they do? what are their values and morals? Damian's character answers all of those questions from his backstory growing up as an assassin to his current life as Robin.
He loves animals, he eventually respects both Bruce and Dick very much, as well as Alfred. He's a brat to Tim, but that's his childish jealousy jumping in. He's just a kid mixed with lots of trauma, of course he's gonna be a brat. He needs love and growth and less terrible writers.
Utlwanang Mmeti Damian, despite his immense pride respects his father. He acknowledges himself as ‘blood son’ and wants to live up to the legacy of Batman. But yeah, because he’s not a obedient solider like Tim he’s ‘ungrateful and disrespects Bruce’
Of course Damian is an ungrateful brat. He is the son of Batman and the grandson of Ras al ghul and that comes with expectations he lives up to every day. The other Robin's are gifted children Batman took in but they are ultimately someone else's child so they are grateful in a way that Batman's biological child could never be. I love the character because Batman's son would be a precocious badass and wouldn't care to apologize for it.
Utlwanang Mmeti he’s actually gotten a lot better. He respects his father and more than anything just wants his approval. His more softer moments often come when he’s paired with Jon or Dick
Damian is by far my favorite robin, and tbh, he’s the only person I can see as being Batman. Dick made a name for himself as Nightwing, so being Batman would be redundant, Tim and Jason always end up being murderous and evil as Batman, and Terry doesn’t work in the main DC universe. Damian, on the other hand, has grown from being the bratty abused child (yes, he was abused, people often forget that, for some reason) to a caring person, and he’s been training all his life to earn the cowl.
There needs to be a series about all four robins. Sounds like it be badass. Don’t forget there would also never be spiderman without a dead uncle Ben... yeah. Bruce’s parents and peter’s uncle have to be and stay dead to maintain spiderman and Batman’s existences respectively. Just my opinion.
That would be cool it seems like the only one where all the robins are going to be together like the comics might be Young Justice, if there are others someone tell me, which would be nice to see.
You might be correct, but let us remember that Uncle Ben told "With great power comes great responsibility." Also he got his powers before uncle Ben died. But you probably are right because Peter's uncle's death drove him to find his killer and do good after finding out he is the reason his uncle died.
Honestly, I see myself in Damian since he's struggling to change for himself in spite of the expectations everyone around him has. His father wants him to be like Dick Grayson and his mother and grandfather want him to be a cold-hearted assassin. The war inside himself is super realistic and relatable to a lot of people.
Which makes Damian so interesting is he basically a mini version of Batman. The writers can apply any crazy Batman's idea to Damian that cannot do the same with Batman because he is DC's face. And I love it.
Damian is the type of character that has to grown on some people. I didn’t care for him too much, but I considered everything about his past and watched him evolve. I just wish some fans would quit crying & saying shit like “I hate Damian he needs to die” bc goddamn I’m getting Jason Todd flashbacks 😂 let’s just agree that we can have our favorites but none NEED to die...
Still waiting for a positive grown up Damian. Because the ones we get are complete crazies. Batman Beyond damian and Injustice Damian. DCeased Damian is good but he feels like a completely different person judging by how tame he is.
Probably hearing Bruce's last moment affected him and changed him into a "softer" Damian (as Talia said) In Batman Beyond Bruce didn't die, and in Injustice Bruce straight up denied the kid's whole existence after he accidentally killed Dick
DCeased Damian got Jon by his side growing up. That's the different between that Damian to Injustice and BB one. Bruce is a shitty father. He's much better be dead than being alive but keep antagonising his own blood
I wasn't sure what to think of Damian when he was first introduced but Morrison and Tomasi's characterisation quickly turned him into one of my favourites.
I liked how the animated universe did it in less time yet felt natural. It wasn’t as developed and he was still a dick in his teenage years, but I love watching him grow movie after movie.
I used to hate Damian Wayne as I thought he was a whiny brat, but recently I’ve liked him a lot more as I see that he shares the most personality traits with Bruce. Damian will make a great batman in my mind.
I can totally agree,Bruce in his early years can easily be seen in Damian. In the beginning Batman had a sense of pride in his capabilities, knowing working alone is easier and a better way.But being an adult he knew his mission should always come first.
You can’t have a hero with a happy life. Something must be taken from them or they must experience an ever changing event that made them decide to be a hero.

I actually really like Damian. He was literally raised by assassin's. To be a weapon. Constantly had it beaten into him that he would be the greatest weapon to ever exist. Just to meet his father who is everything the league of shadows and his mother isn't. Then he sees these bonds that his father has with these other people (Nightwing, Tim, Jason etc) and desperately wanting that bond and to be the one true heir of his father he uses what he was raised with to try to get it. Just to learn that's not gonna work. Now he constantly has to try to balance what he has always knew with what he is learning. He's so complex and I love it
Have you read Robin Son of Batman? Supersons was a nice take on Damian, but Robin Son of Batman was about his regret and redemption, which shows Damian had grown to be more calm and compassionate.
my friend!!! you forgot a reading recommendation!!!! O.O and one of the most important!!! Damian Wayne´s mini serie...Robin: Son of Batman, where he traveled around the world looking for the forgiveness of his past sins, alongside Goliath and Nobody´s daughter Maya Ducard :D this book is as good as Super Sons and we can see how much Dami grew and accepted his father´s legacy and how he regreted the stuffs he did as an Al Ghul :D (but every changed when Adam Glass and his crappy Teen Titans attacked ...) and when you said Batman and Robin I imagine you mean both runs from 2009 (with Dick Grayson as Batman) and 2011 ( where Bruce returned to be the Dark Knight) :D
Damian Wayne is the Best Robin ever he’s literally a little Bruce Wayne who is already more skilled and smarter than any of the other Robins in their day
I absolutely love the dichotomy between Super Sons where it's just fun, up beat, and just genuinely awesome then you have what's going down in DCeased Dead Planet where Damian and Johnathan are the leaders/ super heroes doing all they can to survive with the last of humanity. Just incredible character progression and development, on both Jonathan and Damian 👏
What if Damian Wayne marries Raven from the Teen Titans. Two years later Batman becomes a grandfather. This would make a great comic book story. Basically Damien would win bragging rights from both his father Batman and Dick Grayson just saying.
@@sunshineyrainbows13 in the DCAU Justice League Unlimited Wonder Woman was turned into a pig by a sorceress and to change her back Batman voiced by Kevin Conroy had to sing which brought the sorceress Circe to tears of joy which lead to her upholding her end of the bargain turning Wonder Woman back to normal The episode ended with Wonder Woman thanking Batman by humming the song he sung
Tomasi's Batman and Robin (the new52 version) and Robin: Son of Batman have some good character development for Damian and definitely are must read. People don't talk about those books that much thou.
Damian is such a complex character and my favorite, he is so funny and dynamic all the time, his relationship and him are base on development and he has also a tough life. He is such a good character and I don't mind if you don't like him flr whatever reason, like it's your right, but don't say he is a bad character because that's not true.
5:34 Of all the robin costume, I love Damien's the most. It even beat Nightwing and red robin for me. Im still debating with myself regarding the red hood costume...
I used to hate Damian tbh but more modern stories have made him slightly less of a complete dick and I've come to appreciate the "this would be bruce if he didnt have the moral upbringing of alfred and his parents" side of him. I can appreciate him as a child of the bat. Idk that's how I view him I'm sure someone will tell me my view is wrong. Haha
“ Damien didn’t respect dick nearly as much as his father” 😂😂😂 (8:39) now I completely understand the difficulties when referring to Dick Grayson which I have learned is always good to use Grayson‘s last name so as to avoid these kinds of senate structures. Appreciate the info but you really have to watch your sentences bro. 😂😂😂
If Damien Wayne stops being Robin he should be called Desmodus the genus name for bat or Shadow bat because his grandfather Ra's la ghul is the demons head of the league of Shadows I would go for the ninja gaiden look with a smaller Cape with the collar up and a full covered mask like red hood's but it looks like a vampire bat face the nose the slit on the chin and eyes black and would have him work for Amanda Waller new task force as one of her enforcers would put deadshot's daughter there as Recoil and new versions of black spider and bronze tiger..
Damien Wayne is supposed to be a brat he didn’t see his parents gunned in front of him while living a sheltered life, Damien understands death thanks to grandma raj, he’s essentially a young Batman if Batman was raised to fight, all in all making dame my favorite because his growth into a better man
I've learned to love Damian, despite his disrespect toward my fave, Tim. I understand kid's got trauma. It's what makes him a good complex character, as long as the writers STOP undoing all his character growth just for petty drama. 🙄
DAMIAN WAYNE is a Shakespearean tragic hero. Reminiscent of two legendary epic characters : 1. MORDRED Prince of Camelot torn between his father noble King Arthur ( Batman ) and his mother evil sorceress Morgana La Fey ( Talia ). 2. OCTAVIAN the heir of the great Julius Caesar ( Ra's Al Ghul ) and the son of his grand niece the cunning Atia Of The Julii ( Talia ).

Grayson and Damian are my favorite Robins!! They're the best Robins!!
Damian Wayne is the Best Robin ever he’s literally a little Bruce Wayne who is already more skilled and smarter than any of the other Robins in their day
No way Dick Grayson is and will always be the Robin here!
@@richarddah2807 Yeah I don't like Damian I'm expressing it and I stand by my points!
Oh ok. That's your opinion
What would happen if Damian Wayne was trained by Lady Shiva and Richard Dragon? Can you do history of Lady Shiva and Richard Dragon?
Tim was trained by Lady Shiva. Not sure if Rebirth changed it.
That kid that plays 5 on the umbrella academy should play the life action version of damian wayne
Aidan Gallagher yes
Can you please do a History of Stephanie Brown? Just to in a way complete all the Robins and hate was Robin for a short time.
What if Damian Wayne marries Raven from the Teen Titans. Two years later Batman becomes a grandfather. This would make a great comic book story. Basically Damien would win bragging rights from both his father Batman and Dick Grayson just saying.
i love Damian Wayne robin with his best friend Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy because super sons was fantastic and tons of fun
If Damian is genetically perfect that means he can sing with no problems. Now that begs the question.. is he better than Bruce??
sing? 😂
@@sunshineyrainbows13 in the DCAU Justice League Unlimited Wonder Woman was turned into a pig by a sorceress and to change her back Batman voiced by Kevin Conroy had to sing which brought the sorceress Circe to tears of joy which lead to her upholding her end of the bargain turning Wonder Woman back to normal
The episode ended with Wonder Woman thanking Batman by humming the song he sung
Of course, he ISN'T!
Tomasi's Batman and Robin (the new52 version) and Robin: Son of Batman have some good character development for Damian and definitely are must read. People don't talk about those books that much thou.
i like that book Robin Son of Batman. I shipped him so hard with Maya Ducard I don't like how DC makes him love every magical girl in his sight lol
@@shazamsakazaki i've always seen Maya as more of a sister figure
Damian is such a complex character and my favorite, he is so funny and dynamic all the time, his relationship and him are base on development and he has also a tough life. He is such a good character and I don't mind if you don't like him flr whatever reason, like it's your right, but don't say he is a bad character because that's not true.
Talias one of my favorite characters but it seems like they are ruining the whole character wish they would treat her better
Him an Jason are my favorite robins outta the bat family
Damian wayne is my favorite superhero captain atom coming close second
All this in mind, why is Tim Drake considered the best robin?
Because he is marry sue.
And most boring robin
5:34 Of all the robin costume, I love Damien's the most. It even beat Nightwing and red robin for me. Im still debating with myself regarding the red hood costume...
I agree! He has the best robin costume period! It looks so cool and stylishly sleek and dark! Love it!
Where Tim Drake is the smartest Robin, Damian Wayne is the deadly most dangerous Robin.
Supersons was so amazing they had an amazing relationship, so mad they aged Jon up so much
I used to hate Damian tbh but more modern stories have made him slightly less of a complete dick and I've come to appreciate the "this would be bruce if he didnt have the moral upbringing of alfred and his parents" side of him. I can appreciate him as a child of the bat.
Idk that's how I view him I'm sure someone will tell me my view is wrong. Haha
I love the batman 666 world...
Hope Damian becomes that Batman.
These movies wit Damien or amazing
He is reminder me prens Zuko. 😂🤟
“ Damien didn’t respect dick nearly as much as his father” 😂😂😂 (8:39)
now I completely understand the difficulties when referring to Dick Grayson which I have learned is always good to use Grayson‘s last name so as to avoid these kinds of senate structures.
I think damian is hated because how they treat him in the dcamu.
True those movies do him zero justice.
Yes!!! I love Damian Wayne, he’s my favorite comic book character
Any dad can tell u that the choice between their son and their parents is no choice at all.
How dare you not mention the Bat-Cow. Dami is definitely his father's son, adopting every animal in sight 😂
Isn’t all of the robins fan favorites in one way or another
Damian is my second favorite robin. Jason is my first favorite.
My Favourite Is Dick Grayson
@Aubrey Adams same here
My list
Damian Wayne
Jason Todd
Dick Grayson
Tim Drake
Sorry but I don't like Drake mach.
@@terra4822 Yeah. Probably because my generation isn't exposed with Tim much, I don't like him as much as the other Robin
i thought the part where superman and john kent were facing off with batman and damian wayne was really freakin cool
I love Damian! Wish they would make an animated movie with him and Jon Kent !
I think we know how it happened!😂😂😂
Damien Wayne is supposed to be a brat he didn’t see his parents gunned in front of him while living a sheltered life, Damien understands death thanks to grandma raj, he’s essentially a young Batman if Batman was raised to fight, all in all making dame my favorite because his growth into a better man
yes yes abusive childhood is an example of sheltered life, of course, this is the thought process that makes dc the peak of entertainment, absolutely.
Is it bad that he’s my favorite Robin?
No.
He is too my favorite.
Because I am Just like him.
I've learned to love Damian, despite his disrespect toward my fave, Tim. I understand kid's got trauma. It's what makes him a good complex character, as long as the writers STOP undoing all his character growth just for petty drama. 🙄
I swear like damian is that one character where it can be done well but for some god forbidden reason the writers just fucks up
What is the relationship between robin & Slade & reven
Never liked any robin until Damian. Pretty cool character flexible. He can be a hero or a villain.
lol what? How can you even say that! Plenty of the robins have been likable before hand!
DAMIAN WAYNE is a Shakespearean tragic hero.
Reminiscent of two legendary epic characters :
1. MORDRED Prince of Camelot torn between his father noble King Arthur ( Batman ) and his mother evil sorceress Morgana La Fey ( Talia ).
2. OCTAVIAN the heir of the great Julius Caesar ( Ra's Al Ghul ) and the son of his grand niece
the cunning Atia Of The Julii ( Talia ).
Can you do History of Alfred Pennyworth, Batwing, Flame Bird, Batwoman, Azrael, Stephanie Brown and Carrie Kelly?
Let👏🏼 Damian👏🏼 grow up
Good time for Damian (Son of Batman) get a history episode of his own, not only is he a fan favorite but he sort of reminds me of my brother at times although he is five years younger than me lol
I’m still personally not a fan of Damian though I do kinda like him in Dceased
