    After receiving my new Line 6 Relay G10S guitar wireless system yesterday, I figured I would throw together a quick review video with some sound examples to show anybody interested what it is all about. Line 6 has really knocked it out of the park with this unit. It is built like a tank, has a wonderful feature set and sounds incredible. If you would like to check it out for yourself, you can get more details here:

    Great information Jason, thanks for sharing this awesome video! I love the new power supply options and also the channel select as well. I love even the RelayG10 in a small studio, just saves getting twisted up in the chairs etc. Thumbs up!

    I got mine the weekend of the 2019 NAMM show,I do gigs all of the time so i need dependable equipment and line 6 G30,G10,and G10s comes`through with flying colors every gig.The G10S is on my main pedalboard now and so far I barely even notice that it it is there, it just does the job so well with no issues.

    Thanks for the video. The original G10 was never intended to be used for gigs but it works so great that lots of people gig with them anyhow. The micro-USB power connection works fine in the home or studio environment but wasn't designed for the rigors of the road (or to be powered by a pedalboard power supply). I have 3 of the G10 systems and they are perfect for home or studio use. I'm also building a pedalboard so I'll be adding a G10S to it really soon.

    Sounds great, we have the G10 & it works great, we also have a very expensive Sennheiser guitar system & the G10 definitely works great for small club work & the price is unbeatable, we've performed over 185 gigs with it & I can say it definitely works, great video my friend !!!

    Just added one to my pedalboard, I purposely placed it at the front right corner as the start of my signal path, also if for some reason the transmitter stopped working I could just plug an instrument cable directly into the transmitter sync/charge port... but this was a huge assumption as I've attempted and no signal comes out of the output when my guitar is plugged in direct. I ended up placing the first pedal directly above it so that the input jack is convenient to change out for a direct connect... maybe an Idea for the next iteration G10SX...'X' for extra cable input...LOL

    I just took delivery of a 10s a couple of days ago and loving it so far.... one thing I was wondering about is whether there is any drawback or advantage when you're using a helix direct to the soundboard to use the XLR out from the relay into the helix

    • @JasonSadites
      @JasonSadites  5 років тому +1

      I wouldn't see that working any better than just going with the instrument out. The only XLR in on the Helix is a mic input.

    I love my line 6 g10. Been using it for a year now and haven't had no problems so I doubt there would be any problems with the new one either.

    if your band are using g10 relays as well, will their amps pick up your guitar and vice versa?

    just when I think I have everything I need.. One question I hope you can answer. Did you play through your Helix, and if so was the G10S relay plugged into the same power supply as the Helix? I have heard discussion that the older G10 hooked into the same PS causes some unwanted noise.

    • @BrockDavisson

    So - What if you're using the DI out and sending a signal to the PA, but you need to kill your signal to tune or do other things. Is there any way to bypass the DI out if needed?

    • @JasonSadites
      @JasonSadites  5 років тому

      No Tom, I guess you would have to maybe have tuner pedal before the G10S...

    In this clip, the Cable definitely sounded the best (I´m listening through headphones, JBL E55bt´s to be exact). The sound of the L6 sounded a little dull, muted. It lacked the clarity of the cable. That was sort of disappointing to be honest.

    The USB connection on the G10 was very wonky, and no 9volt connection was annoying AF. It worked great, but this new “s” version shows what happens when a company listens to their customer/users. These new features are exactly what needed to be added/changed on this baby.

    Range limited to about 50' LOS. Can interfere with other L6 wireless products. My guitar came through my bassist rig several times. He has a G30. Did it with his G70 too. You just have to have one sync up first, and then fire the other player's wireless unit after that happens. Happens more when I go after his G30 is on. Works better if the G10 or 10s is powered before the other RX TX's.
