    Bass player here. I replaced my Sennheisser Freeport system (absolutely zero issues) with a Relay G10 mainly for the reasons that there was no longer a cable plugged into the guitar and the fact that the G10 transmitter had an internal battery whereas the Sennheiser required a 9v battery to power the transmitter pack. I loved my Sennheisser, but the simplicity of the G10 makes it my “go to” for my rig.

      Hey BBow93. Glad it's working for you! Are you using a G10 or G10S?

    • @TheBBow
      @TheBBow 5 років тому +1

      Standard G10. It just sits on top of the amp. Only extra connection is a tuning/mute pedal.

      @@TheBBow I used my standard G10 the same way for about 2 years and it always worked flawlessly.

    Great video. You might want to consider looking at the camera, not the monitor. It's like talking to someone who refuses to make eye contact. Just a thought. Again. Great video

      Thanks for that reminder, Mark. Ironically, I’m a video director and am always coaching folks to look straight into the lens. I guess it’s a case of “do as I say, not as I do”!!

    hi,do you know or have you used a guitar with piezo pickups?wondering if theres a whining sound like on my wireless Xvive U2 Guitar Wireless System

      I tried to use the G10 with a Fishman pickup on an acoustic. Having the wireless transmitter plugged into a jack with active electronics did cause a buzz. I solved it by plugging a 12” extension cable into the jack, running it up the guitar strap, inserting the transmitter into the jack and securing it to the strap. A bit Beverly Hillbillies, but getting the transmitter away from the active jack killed most of the buzz. Not ideal, but functional.

    Nice video. My only concern is that it will not work with certain active pickups.

      From what I understand, you just need to be careful about reverse polarity with active pickups. Line 6 has some recommendations here: line6.com/support/topic/20888-attention-g10-owners/

      There is an adapter that comes with the unit. It is a L shape that reverses the polarity.

    ....and how does it compare to the Sennheiser XS unit ( if you have ever used that ? Thanks for earlier reply !

    • @RobertCassard
      @RobertCassard  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Tony. I haven’t used the Sennheiser. But I love these Relay units...utterly foolproof and SILENT. I’ve literally never heard radio interference from either unit unless I get ridiculously far away from the base. They’re amazing.

    Can you use the DI output AND the jack output at the same time without loss of signal?

    • @RobertCassard
      @RobertCassard  4 роки тому

      Your results may vary...but I just tried it and both outputs worked simultaneously and sounded great... So you can send one output to an amp and use the other for DI.

    Could you do an “unboxing” of the g10s. I know you’re already using it, but i have yet to see an unboxing type video.

    • @RobertCassard

      Hi Jakub - Thanks so much for watching my videos and I appreciate the request! I have a long list of Guitar Discoveries topics I'm trying to get to, and in general, unboxing videos haven't been my focus. That said, I just posted a video TODAY of me unboxing a pair of Status CB-1 headphones. Ironic! ;-)
