After releasing my initial review video about the new Line 6 Relay G10S guitar wireless yesterday, I had a number of questions concerning whether it would work with active pickup and requests to hear it on it's various settings with clean tones. So, I put this short video together today to do just that. I hope this helps to answer some more questions regarding the G10S system. I truly hope you enjoy the video and please subscribe to my channel if you are so inclined...
For what it's worth, on the two active guitars that I have that were not initially compatible, I switched the wires on the input jack. Switching the ring and sleeve wires fixed the issue in both guitars. The right angle adapter also worked. One guitar was fishman pickups, the other was blackouts.
which cable of the input did you switch sir?
How do you hook the transmitter up to a Line 6 Helix?
Hey jason. I have a line 6 gt10 (the first one). It produces a high pitch squeal when i plug it on my bass with active pups. It still has sound but has this noisy squeal. Any recomemdations?
Hi Jason, I have a Spider V Mk.II and want to buy the G10 transmitter, but I heard many people complaining of it after the last firm update, they mainly complain about battery life, they say it is now very short. Do you have any information of this? Thanks so much!
I know it is relatively easy to find, but perhaps add a link to Pt. 1 in the description.
The G10 works fine with both my Godin active pickups guitars with the right handled connector Jason so it follows the G10s will I guess.
That is awesome! Thanks for your input :-)
Any conclusions on the G10s Cable Tone settings? I couldn't tell much difference -- none you'd likely hear in a band mix.
I find the difference to be very subtle and would probably be fine at any of the settings. I just leave mine off for the most part.
Can you plug a cable in the female jack in case when youre out of battery?
I don't think so, but not totally sure Tomas...
hello friend, greetings from mexico!
First congratulate you for your great work and in general with the tones for helix ,,,,
I wanted to know if you could upload some tutorial for a tone similar to the clean of animals as leaders or tesseract!
it would be a dream for me !!! =)
Thank you so much :-) I will see what I can do in the future!
+1000 for Tesseract and AAL sounds. More Djent!!! yeah Tesseract is one of my fave bands as of late.
Its the overload level of actives Im worried about. The Relay G50 goes red with decent EMG's
My experience is that the G10s does not play well with a piezo equipped guitar.
I have a G50 and it's been great, but maybe if I get the G10S I will sound like Jason Sadites! I'm sure that's the key instead of dedicated practice!
LOL, Michael :-) Not sure Line 6 is promoting that as a feature...lol
Moar SLG200S playing!
Planning on more with it soon :-)
I find that my G10 has a very limited range and will drop out after 10 feet occasionally and definitely after 40 ft. I had much better range with my Nady units.
You know.... if you would only learn to play the guitar, these reviews might be at least bearable lol lol lol.
Haha....I will try harder in the future buddy :-)
