    You should foam then rinse the car before going in with a mitt. I’ve learned that you can get a ton of dirt off the car that way, which will make the contact wash that much safer. Just my .02, from my experience. Slick car! Can’t wait to get one.

      I agree to an extent. In my experience it didn't help that much and ended up being more of a waste for me unless the car is really really dirty.

    Quick question. Why not just use a dry wash and do it inside your garage. This is my method for 9 years as I don't want to chance water spots and the paint looks like glass. Excellent demonstration on how you do it though.

    Hey Justin, finally got my car cause of you! Thankyou. I know this video is old, but its the only car wash video I could find on your channel. I personally think you have the shiniest black cars out of everyone ive seen! I'm here to learn/copy from the best 😭. Are these still the same tools/items you use to wash your car? Or have you updated some of the items on this list? This method is still completely safe on a non-ppf/non ceramic coated car correct? I will be getting XPEL soon! Last question: I know you have stealth badges on your C8 Z06, are those stealth badges you have the same ones that come from the factory? I optioned some stealth badges from the factory, and they are pretty much all carbon flash, I can't really tell from your vids, but your stealth badges seem to have more of like a greyish color to it. Thanks for inspiring me man

    • @HorsePowerObsessed
      @HorsePowerObsessed  Місяць тому +2

      These are the items I recommend. Makes cleaning a lot easier, more efficiant, and will last the life of your car and then some. Obviously spray off the car, soap it down with the Meguiars soap/foam cannon, wash with the microfiber mitt, then rinse and blow dry with the master blaster. After it's dry, wipe everything down with the XPEL ceramic boost.

      @@HorsePowerObsessed Justin, Thank you so much man. Truly appreciate this. I have one last question before I leave you alone 😅. I went to a shop to get quotes on XPEL ppf and window tint. They said they dont recommend tinting the back window (the outer one above the engine bay) They said the glass gets hot due to the engine and the tint is most likely going to get damaged. I recall you having your back window tinted 5% correct? Have you had any damage to the back window tints (even if you do, does it look bad? is it noticable?)

    Great video! 🔥 I personally prefer to foam it up the 1st time, let the soap sit a few minutes, let it remove as much dirt off the paint without actually touching the car, and than rinse it off. After that..I foam it up a 2nd time, than I would apply the wash mit. This helps ensure that most of the dirt is gone before using a wash mit and avoid any micro scratches and swirl marks.

    AWESOME video as always Justin! I do exactly the same routine that you recommend with just one change. I like to use 6(six) microfiber mits instead of one without a rinse bucket. After foaming the car down I’ll use mit one to do half the roof. I will then turn the mit over and do the other roof half. When finished with mit one I toss it into an empty bucket and pick up,mit #2 and do half the hood, then turning over and do the other half. I finish up the rest of the car using the remainder mits. With this technique you are absolutely sure to use a clean mit with no risk of a hidden stone or debris to scratch. I of course use a separate mit and brush for the wheels and tires. Master blaster IS A MUST!! Can’t wait for your spotless water video!! By the way, I like your new ZR1 but I LOVED YOUR RED Z06!! Will your 2020 be red?? Bob

    What is the best spotless system to buy for my vette? Chuck

      The NO SPOTS PRO system is very very good and priced right. I use it every time I wash my black Corvette. If you buy one tell him HorsePower Obsessed sent you!

      I did buy one thru Amazon as my son works for jeff Bezos in Seattle as an engineer for his Blue Origin space ship company so I got a discount. I wish you could tell them I bought it because of you. Am I right that it does not need any chemicals added to use.

    Lot of velocity from that Master Blaster. Is there a concern about the MB blasting vehicles with the airborne particulates it sucks in? Does it have a high efficiency filter?

      It does indeed have a filter on the intake end. 👍

    Doesn't the car start to dry (and spot) while you're doing the wheels? I don't think I could wash my entire crew cab Denali with a mitt and then rinse it before water starts to evaporate.

    • @HorsePowerObsessed
      @HorsePowerObsessed  4 роки тому +1

      Normally it would but I do it in the shade and I use a PH balanced soap so if it does dry you just need to re-wet it to ensure no water spots.

    I might have to buy a master blaster just to play with 😂

    Instead of the Master blaster just take your Vette out for a quick 140mph 2min run all water gone guaranteed 😄

    With all do respect no rinse washes such as "Optimum No Rinse" are currently the best option.

      There is no way that a waterless wash wouldn't scratch a black car. I'm sorry, I've tested too many of these products to feel any different. Black is way too sensitive to dirt. The waterless wash may be a great option for other colors, but it's definitely not doing black any favors.
