This dude doing the successful game dev speedrun any%
by any%, do you mean any game is a game?
@@dicksonZero Yeah, just game that you can call a game
Time to train coding flappy bird in rectangles in sub-minute
or simon says or bug splatter or snake
My cat enjoyed this video, he kept hopping up on my desk and swiping at this ships as they flew around.
That's when you know it's a good game.
Mine just did the same thing!
mew/mew -the cat, probably
If this doesn't end up as a review quote on the store page it'd be a tragedy.
Great job. What a cool project. Kind of want to try this as well in 10 years when WYS is done...
Do it for a UA-cam video XD. Maybe it will freshen up your game development of WYS
Could be a nice creativity exercise, among game jams etc. Who knows, maybe you'll come up with a mechanic that'd be awesome in WYS(assuming you haven't exhausted them already)
you been a good boy jonas
You should design a simple shirt that just has your name Miziziziz but the "iz"es keep going and getting infinitely smaller across the shirt. Would be a nice way for fans to support you and also show off their fanhood(?) of the channel. I'd certainly buy.
Can iz wrap around the shirt? XD
@@koktszfung Even better...
Yes.
Heh, I think this is the most likes I've ever gotten on a comment by a long shot, and one from the Mizzle Izzle himself?
Or a shirt that says "Thoueest theest thooest thougheest thee theest theee"etc
cut to 10 years later and he's making thousands off a game he made in 10 minutes :)
youd be surprised how many people make thousands off game they put together in 10 minutes

The Google play version is constantly getting taken down so idk if its up right now. I made over 10k on about 6 months from it in 2015. Now it doesn't make anything so I disabled ads
Next time on Miziziziz - "Making A Commercial Steam Game on Lunch Break"
Still sticking to the style of "If I waste your time, unsubscribe." Love it. Great game too!
Love seeing a dev actually develop a game jam entry that has potential, this looks really fun now. Keep up the great work!
Really cool stuff! Congratulations for making a commercial game in one week!
However, from what I saw, I have one feedback: the bullets for the player and the enemies are in the same color, so it is hard to know the owner of the bullet. For example in Star Wars the laser bullets are in different colors in order to show well the "bad" side vs the "good" side.
Otherwise once again good work!
baha I'm color blind so i thought they were green and red but i just didn't see it.
@@noahwilliams4973 guess we are in the same boat now
Congrtz on releasing the game ! the walls look really cool btw
You should’ve made an endless mode!
randomly generated levels have a chance to have no solutions, but its fun to see people try to find them anyway
@@jewbearidk He said endless not Random Generated Levels. In other words the only solution would be dying XD
Looks like you can fight the boss endlessly; just don't shoot its weak points and it'll keep spawning enemies.
so as expected.... the game is a content-less waste of money.
@@axialcecal4419 bad take fam. i'd rather have an enjoyable 10-minute experience that i can revisit repeatedly than a long drag
Awesome job! Have you thought about adding "Dev time" to each level? Like how long it took YOU to beat each level, could extend the playtime by trying to beat dev times IMO and I think its pretty simple to implement?
Also worldwide record best time?
Still more work than all the other asset flips on Steam.
Asset flips aren’t a bad thing he actively encourages them
@@toesnub9676 right, I should say poorly made games made with the pure intention of extracting a quick buck out of very young audiences.
This is literally an asset flip
@@toffeethedev *asset triple backflip while dual wield trickshotting

IGN did a 'developers react to their game speedruns' videos. They should do 'Godot Engine developers react to Godot game development speedrun'
Amazing idea
Somebody stop this man he's going to own the entire game market
Man I just gotta say, I love your videos. They are always so succinct but really fun and informative. I've wanted to learn about programming for awhile and briefly got that opportunity in college with the singular computer science class I took, but your tutorials on Udemy compounded with your UA-cam content completely cleared up any hang ups I had regarding making a foray into the realm of game development. Even if my pursuit into this endeavor is nothing more than a hobbyist interest, you def have yourself a lifelong supporter in whatever you decide to do with your content creation. Sappy post complete lmfao.
Wow, just wow. You are an inspiration. Your mastery of your game engine of choice makes me wanna grind out my choice engine and make GAMES!
Nice, the original video that I saw of yours was your previous commercial game, excited for a new one! Will be playing it too and probably make a video on it.
Anybody else notice the fake ironic Windows XP bar?
yeah, ironic. Totally
I guess he used OpenShell
@@theohmguy I've seen him using Ubuntu, so I assume that he just heavily riced it
oh it was fake! i saw him using ubuntu before and i saw xp taskbar and i was like "wtf?"
OpenShell gang
the name of the song in the background is Theevs - Delusional if anyone wants to know
Great job man - I'll try to pick it up soon!
This is awesome, I was already thinking of doing something similar to this so now I'm even more excited to give it a try. A great watch as always! :)
You deserve WAAYYY more attention. Theres some things you could do to spice up your content but I really enjoy your stuff. Keep it up!
Learning a ton from your videos, keep going and best of luck!
Wow, trally impressed with how much content you made for the game in such a short time!
You're really good at working inside those tight constraints
Great Job...it was super fun chilling in your stream
Man you should really get the biopunk game going like a proper series, that game is fire
Totally added inspiration for a passion project I have in mind. Awesome work.
I just like watch all ur videos and decided to watch something else as this video camr out. Also love the biopunk game pls make more devlogs i think the algorithm is loving that
I'm watching this directly after the 1 month playlist of videos, and I must say your editing is much better.
you're an inspiration, I can't make a full game in a week like you but you're a friggen inspiration!
I loved seeing you develop this live
I was super excited to see you made this in Godot game engine.
I love these videos :) It reminds me of Sokpop (they release a game every few weeks)
Amazing. You are such an inspiration
man you are really a inspiring game dev you have proved that a good game can be mad in a really short amount of time
2 things, just a small idea
1. a way to make custom levels, shareable on Steam Workshop
2. unlockable ships / weapons / skins
Wallet, you know what to do
"O- Oniichan, w- why are you opening me..? ..Aah~! S- Stop thrusting y- your hand in me~! Y- You will go b- broke~! Aiii~!!"
You really inspire me. Thank you
So impressed by this. How do you manage to be so hyper focused and not doubt your design every other day? 😣
I thought this was a pretty cool idea during the jam, but this turned out SO good. Kudos.
This looks like an amazing expansion on your original game!
Now all this needs is a boss fight with some huge ship with turrets that shoot in a burst but they have shields that can be disabled and it will slowly move around
Glad you showed off Dos88's music, its so dope and he isn't super big.
I would love to see an update video eventually for this game, how did it do on steam sort of video. Great vid by the way, hope you get blessed by yee old algorithm.
I love the shade you throw at steam there at the end. :P
Yay your finally doing a steam release challenge
I like it better on the first game even if the enemy goes off screen. The movement feels really good, given the fact that I'm just watching it.
Great as always. Please lower the music volume slightly next time, tough. Hard to hear you.
Awesome and congrats on releasing another game!
Why no screen shake, though?
Would be cool if the bouncer reacted by the amount of force you hit it with. The more force the more the spikes and their bouncy animation is present.
And here I am procrastinating on finishing my game for months.
That was a wild ride from start to finish. I can't imagine making a commercial game in one week. what a beast
Nice game man! Though I still feel like this game would be really cool if it had multiplayer support, can you try doing that? I think lots of other people would agree with me on this.
you should make a course/tutorial on your style of art (mainly talking about the main menu)
This game looks really fun :D
How about areas that disable your weapons? Or orbits to planets or black holes, that drag your ship into it? Or a wormhole like in Portal? Just ideas. :-)
Looking forward to play it!
The problem I have is that the flying off screen seems cooler. I'll have to buy the game, but if you haven't already you should allow user made levels, or the ability for tur player to turn off all bouncy walls
I think it might be nice to have jet colours that contrast each other a bit more (red/green). As is, it's a bit hard to tell the difference between green and blue when the ships are moving so fast.
Good shit miziziziz
I understand you did this as a challenge and it's fantastic, looks like a really fun game, but if you took another week to improve the art-style it would have been totally worth it!
I love your videos
Yes! Champion in fast game creation
You should add stars to the levels this will make people play level more often
I love this dude
This content gives me hope that I might be a game dev one day
Miziziziz is a genius.
Really well designed but wish there would be multiple guns and ships for replayability and variation. Would be cool
This gonna blow up
Please add a workshop to that ge that will expand its life so much
i imagine this game would REALLY suit a level editor and a steam workshop page to share levels.
Very nice gaming Well done 👍
its projects like this that remind me that gaming could be more than just the realm of the greedy. when the AAA gaming industry eventualy collapeses under its own weight its devs like you that will keep the art form alive so the cycle can start all over again
Now mark it "early access" and work on a story mode where the camera follows you and plans to keep enemies on screen and is open world/ checkpoint based
Good video! :}
yay i also used DOS-88's music for my game! i liked Parabola a lot :D
Nice. Well done. I'm making a game (devlog) for steam... it's taking a lot longer than 1 week....
Can you please do more godot tutorials because I'm new at it and I'm trying to learn and you are the best one for that and thnx for the great vid♥️👍
Wrought Flesh is about to be "Making a Commercial Steam Game in Three Years"
I wouldve made the game randomly generate levels, have a sort of coin system, and an upgrade system. put a coin in each level or something, then every time you complete a level you can buy upgrades from the shop if you have enough coins. upgrades would be like faster fire speed, boost, or something else. maybe rockets? i feel like that would add more replayability and allow for more runs. make it more roguelike
maybe that would be a different gamemode
That suckerpunch roast doe
@6:01 did you disable pixel snap for GUI? That parallax effect looks jumpy.
I kinda wanna play that other celeste game, now that I've played Starprey
we love to see it
I love ur videos
The music is this episode was cracking. Could we get the track names pls?
Yeah, it's great. I've gotten some of the tracks as background in ads so I'm glad to see them used in real content.
Why didn't you put a background? That was like the most suggested improvement for the jam
I did, it just doesn't show up well from video compression
Maybe turn the quality up because I can see it clearly
makes a game based on a Jam and sells it. It makes you want to see the video of the Jam.
Doble stonks.
Are you using OpenShell for the custom Windows XP bar and Start button?
Nice one.
Would be cool if this was the battle mode of a larger 4x space strategy game 👍🏻
ah yess asset flip speedrun
the reflection equation TM
Wow, it's quite similar to the game I'm working on!
quite inspiring
"I didn't have a lot of free time, so I just did 10 levels and a boss"
Very cool
Reminds me of Maelstrom but you don't run into astroids and die every 2 seconds
EPIC!
you should be a sports commentator :)
Damn he does stuff in a day that would take me like a week
