FOR GOD SAKES GET A GRIP FABLE WAS ONE OF HE FIRST GAMES GOD U COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERYTHING EVEN OLD GAMES FOR CRYING OUTLOUD U DO ANYTHING TO GET RICH COMBAT TO THIS GAME IS DIFFERENT THAN TODAY COMBAT THAT NOT THE DAMN GAME FAULT> JUST SAY IN MY OPINION THE COMBAT HAS COME A LONG WAYS THAN WHAT IT USED TO BE WHEN GAMES LIKE FABLE WAS FIRST Introduce AND I PREFER THE NEWER COMBAT
It released take end of fall so most people got it between then and for Xmas most likley, I got it for Xmas from my parents so makes sense it’d be associated as a Christmas timey game by a lot. Also I remember trying to buy that one secret house that was behind one those gargoyle doors for my family in it and it felt magical going to it and it was like a secluded cabin in the woods in the snow. That’s when I satisfied stopped playing and it’s my main memory of the game whenever fable is brought up….. besides kicking chickens in the original haha.
I was like 8 years old when it came out and I played it right away. I remember sitting down and I had figured out how to get a wife. I didn't know what I was doing and eventually had sex with her (the fade to black screen) while my dad was in the room. I remember he was like "it's okay son, at least it isn't showing anything. Your mother can't get upset at us". I have that engraved in my memory forever haha
Hands down the best one is the first. The variety of spells. Armors weren't half bad. And i liked the story locations the most . Music fits very well too, its not favorite but it is really great.
I remember seeing it on display at a flea market game stand and it always interested me in how much the cover art looks like a family friendly cartoony game whilst having an M rating. Always made me wonder what was it exactly that caused that eating to be given
The Fable series has always been Xbox's Zelda. The sense of adventure, odd side characters, and excellent music all made this franchise something special.
Fable 1 was probably my first serious RPG adventure. Got it when I was like 14 in 2004 and spent so much time on that game then went onto KOTOR1&2 and Jade Empire
Same I spent so long every day trying to figure out if you could find Rose after the main story. Was honestly devastated when I couldn’t. This was before the internet modernized with wiki’s. So many memories from childhood with fable 2.
Imo, ive only played fable 2-3, but they are both nier misses, good fun games with really cool unique style and gameplay played both 2 times, but not only didn’t deliver on what was said but they alsmot felt like the missed the mark, the morality system wasn’t quite exacted well enough, the kingdom and duel spell system want quite good enough, not in-depth enough character systems the boss wasn’t quite there. Solid 7/10 games some parts done well others like open world flow not so good. Im just hoping with this next one they nail the gameplay. Cos style wasn’t an issue for fable.
My only major problem with three was that you had to manually repair all of your properties on console, apparently on PC there was a button that let you repair all of your properties at once. Us console players had to do it the hard way lol.
I've got Fable 3 full randomly. I was like 12-13 yo. max? However I never finished the game, because I sold the console... I think I need to play it again. 😅
Fable 2 is my all time favourite game and I've played it so many times. I replayed the trilogy recently and it still stands up. Is it a flawed franchise? Yes. It oozes style and atmosphere though and its just so enjoyable to play.
18:35 I know exactly what you mean by a "Christmas game" where it's that one video game you get for Christmas one year growing up where you never want to leave that place, you just want to be home in your pjs and exploring new worlds. That's why I can' stop playing Skyrim after so many years. I just remember going through the snow and fighting dragons as it was snowing outside irl and it gave it a whole new feel of immersion irl I loved it!
Man fable is one of my favorite games of all time, I just remember me being 7 and picking it up at the local game store, such a perfect rpg. I loved the story, cutscenes, characters, gameplay, it just had a great soul behind it which a lot of games nowadays lacks.
I remember watching my brother play Fable when it came out. I was about 7-8 years old and I always loved watching him. Now I’m in my later 20’s and we’re getting a new Fable. Such a nostalgic moment for me
Kotor 1 and 2 are far beyond fable 1 if you look at how deep kotor games were on the xbox, the current RPGS can't even compete with that yet . Fable was a good RPG only kotor is far beyond a Fable and most rpg games .
@@Kopjekoffie980 Fable is so high on my list solely due to it's reactivity and Art-Style. Very few games are even half as reactive. Kotor 1 I don't agree with at all, Kotor 2 I do. But, it mostly just because it doesn't deal in absolutes. It's a novel concept, the fact that very few... anything entertain the idea that not everything is exactly as it seems makes it seem better then it actually is. Fable and Kotor 2 are different kinds of RPGs though. Kotor 2 is CRPG and Fable is... I'm wanting to say Reactive RPG, it's obviously an RPG there is no debating that (I've seen some argue it's not) but it's also obviously a very different kind of RPG you rarely see. Say what you will about Peter Molyneux, these kinds of Reactive games were his specialty. Crackdown kind of does something similar, but only takes it a quarter of the way. The reactivity only really shows in your character and eventually all the Morphs start to look the same. I have a creeping suspicion the new Fable will not live up to the old one. But, if anything of note comes from this it's that hopefully Microsoft will Remaster Fable 2 and port it to PC.
@@pinguman13 Again, the story-telling was whatever, although in hind-sight I actually sort of enjoyed the fact that it fully embraced the Children's Bed-Time story nature. the Reactivity though is what really set it apart from all the others.
I always found the Sanctuary comforting. It's literally your safe space. Nothing can hurt you there. Slightly disturbing towards the end when your Sanctuary is invaded and corrupted. You still can't be hurt, but the implications are horrifying.
Fable 1 Lost Chapters is in my top 3 favorite RPG‘s. The world, the characters, the story & the weapons are all amazing. I always play as the good guy & I stay in Oakvale(well I also buy all the houses) lol 😂. Plus the Archon armor, the Harbinger sword & that Tear sword looks awesome.
@@TearMeOpenIBelieve No no. Every single town in the game has one empty house. After you buy it you have to spend even more gold to fully decorate it. I think the most expensive one is Knothole Glade
The first Fable sat loose in a random stack of discs in my house for months before I ever played it. I think somebody left it behind and just never came to get it back. I seen it sure, but knew nothing about it and didn't ever bother as I didn't play my Xbox that much....and then I decided to check it out. I played through it at least 4 times. Absolute classic. From there I got the other two as they came out and loved them.
Fable was absolutely incredible always loved the moral choices you could do on it. One of my all time favourite fantasy games. It's incredible I really hope that the new game can live up to the nostalgia of the og trilogy
Fable 2 was always my favorite. Playing that game as a kid hit so different. I havent played 1. Fable 3 wasnt just great story wise, but i liked the variety of mixing powers together
Because if you don't gold glitch it's basically sacrifice the city! Lack of weapons. Crud clothing armor and hair. The interaction was terrible with stores. Fable 1 was great Fable 2 was awesome. Fable 3 not so much
main reason the shtty menu mechanic that waas so tiresome for a RPG here you actually wanna change outfits weapons level up skills ect alot yet ade it tidious AF. furthermore the no healthbar and rushed story made it just way worse then it's predecesors while it should have been an improvement
When the music kicks in at 0:38 , DAMN that took me back. Just made all those original Xbox memories come back all at once. Fable, Kotor, Halo CE, my official Xbox magazine, Gorillaz CD and Mountain Dew.
Fable is one of my all time favourite RPG series and actually the first RPG game I ever played with my older brother when I got my first console. Got a lot of love for these games and can’t wait for the new one!
its a whole nother experience playing this game without knowing about molyneux as a kid. Great game for me who never played a game like this before then
Fable 1 was my absolute favorite! I have both the OG Lost Chapters version and the Anniversary Edition! When I was growing up, some friends that lived a few doors down from me had an Xbox and had Fable, and I remember watching them play and was just very impressed at the rpg mechanics at the time. I remember back when you had to buy things with Microsoft points, I bought this on XBL and played through it on the 360, and had lots of fun! I want to do another run-through on PC before the new one comes out! I remember not liking Fable 2 or 3 as much though..
Your right on the money with fable 3 as that was my first fable game and even after i played fable 1 and 2 i still love it for getting me into the series and for just being a reminder of a simpler time.
Hey, nice video & thanks for your comments, I worked on Fable 2 & 3 back in the day so it’s always nice to hear people opinions. I’ve never actually looked at the manuals for the games, so that was fun to see. I like how 3 just calls out sex 😂. I remember for 3 one of our sound designers had written Fable style ‘70s porn music so we added it to the sex scenes for 3 (well the black screen). Random fact the same way we had leaderboards comparing you to your friends for number of steps taken, bandits killed, etc (inspired, shall we say, by the same thing in Gears) we’ve got one for number of group sex partners - it tops out at 10 as that’s the most amount of people you could get to follow you. Not sure most people know you can have multiple partners at the same time. Viral achievements were a big thing at the time, e.g. Gears had one around execute a dev or someone with this achievement. So because we added proper co-op to 3 it only made sense for our viral achievement to be have sex with a dev or someone with this achievement. I had it all coded & working, then MS vetoed it, they don’t have the same sense of humour about these things as we did. So we changed it to hug, then to give a gift which finally got passed but by that point it was too late to actually be in the shipping game. And you’re completely right about the no UI goal for 3. The UI in 2 was done with a piece of middleware that no one liked, in game it was slow and unresponsive so one of the pillars was in world ui. No menus or full screen UI if we could help it. This took a lot more work than I think people expected. For example in the shops for 2 when you open the UI I would simulate all the sales to the NPCs & restocks since you’d last interacted to determine the stock levels. For 3 there was no UI opening to do such a thing do I ended up simulating it at midnight or entry to the region. (And the big one, the offline money glitch. Of course we knew you could time travel for more money, I originally wrote the code to remove money using the same calculations if your save was from the future. However, the 360 resets its clock to 2005 if disconnected from the mains so it is possible to go back in time by accident thus it was judged to be too harsh to remove players’ money)
My wife bought me Fable 2 for Christmas. I did not get around to playing it straight away so she tried it out. She did not do video games, but she loved it. And that was Christmas - leaving her to it for several hours a day for the best part of a week. When she completed it she was a bit bereft! That's the beauty of the game design; it captivates, but does not overwhelm, and is adaptive.
I love fable, The Lost chapters+anniversary is one of the couple games I've done countless playthroughs of, there's just something there that's become part of me. I don't hate 3 nearly as much as it seems most people do, after reflecting on it I do think that part of my attachment to 1 and 2 relies on the protagonist being silent. It looks like the new Fable's protagonist isn't silent so that's a shame however I am very open to seeing what kind of game it ends up being, it is never going to be the same as the Fable I love but I am not going to completely disregard it as "not fable" because of a change of direction, I'm going to have to wait til I have the game in my hands to truly find out what I think.
Fable 3 was a total summer game for me. Got it on summer vacation between my sophomore and junior year of high school and couldn’t put it down. Been replaying it on PC this year actually
I liked them all even Fable 3. Ofc 1&2 are better but still. So excited for a new Fable. Was so sad after what happened with Lionhead so glad it’s back baby.
Damn the new Fable really is hitting the mark. Will we get a Retro Rebound opinion on the trailer? There's something to be said about all the "controversy" around the hero's appearance and I think, not to be unkind, that is part of the point, they're a person! A very charismatic one which for the player character is a must! Actually, as a thought, maybe she's a side character?
I just started fable anniversary and I’m going to play the rest. I’ve only played 3 as far as I can remember. But I knew only one person on UA-cam would probably have a full video on these games. Thank you for the content!
The original first Fable game is the only one i played because later ones were X-Box exclusive and were not on PC as far as i know so don't know much about those but the first one was a real special one for me, i really liked the story and the style of the game itself, a very fun game to play
I remember playing fable when I first got my og xbox from an older cousin. This was after the 360 came out, but he had a few old games including Jade empire and Fable tlc. I was around 7 at the time and I remember fable was the first "Video game" I've played. The music and the character history made me super intrigued about the story and anytime I hear the music the nostalgia hits me like a truck. It really is a great game and to many a nostalgic experience.
Fable two was the first one I played then when anniversary edition came out my mom payed 40 dollars new for it and I was in love. The third was amazing for me aswell bc it was just the next interation in a franchise I grew up with
Brother came here after your Diablo video. Now seeign this one really hits me in the feels made me think we walked similar gaming paths looking forward to your future content. Subscribed!
Fable one/lost chapters I loved. I dug how the magic system included a bunch of spells that would enhance your combat skills. Fable 2 it was just look my spell goes boom. Like I get part of the narrative was as science advanced magic diminished. But it just made the system less fun. I always thought it was weird though that Whisper wasn't a romance option in the game though. You can choose to kill your childhood friend but not settle down with them.
I'm with you. It suffered a lot from the same thing other games with crafting syatems do *ahem*skyrim*ahem*. The unique legendary weapons that were so fun to find and use became pointless, with the exception of the dragon pistol. Literally everything else, a better version or at least better weapon, could be crafted. Why bother with demon doors and gargoyals when the loot was near worthless.
Fable 3 while even more dumbed down but being able to mix and match them was so cool they need to keep that. Just remove those stupid gauntlets ruined so many outfits.
Fable was the game that got into RPGs I had a best friend who use to play the games finish and let me borrow or have. Don’t know where he is to this day but hope he’s doing good
I never played the first two Fables; my parents never got me those games. However, as an adult, I had a friend to played the heck out of Fable 3 and would have me try it out when she and I would visit. I had a lot of fun with it, despite its flaws. It got to a point where Skyrim was about to drop, and I deliberately put off buying Skyrim because I knew it would totally destroy Fable 3 for me and I was still not done sucking the last of the fun juices out of the game yet.
Fable (1) is the reason I bought an OG X-Box. I was a sophomore in high school and was getting serious FOMO with everyone talking about all the crazy stuff they were doing. I got paid on my birthday and bought it and Fable and had a blast.
Fable is the perfect RPG starter, it's what made me fall in love with things like Skyrim later. My daughters will be playing some Fable as soon as they are old enough.
Off topic but regarding the sponsor in the beginning for T shirts, accessories and clothes id recommend "Red Bubble." I don't know why it hasn't been anyones sponsor. Far more custom options. 10/10...Also Fable is goated haha
Fable III is my favorite. I like that you have to actually rule the kingdom and make decisions. The co-op is also great. Just another one of those things where I'll never understand the hate.
Was just a time to be there. So many good B plus video games released in those days. Quick, fun, and a little spotty. I think really good games contain those silly imperfections. Paved the way for what we have today.
Actually started plying through the Fable 1 again about 3 months or so ago… nostalgia is VERY strong with this one… totally enjoying it.. Range/Magic still my fav..
I was hoping that someone would remaster the trilogy like BioWare did w/ the Mass Effect trilogy. I would love to replay the trilogy w/ graphical upgrade, bug fixes, improved combat & AI, etc. I tried replaying Fable 2 (which is my favorite of the trilogy) but stopped after a while b/c of bugs I kept encountering... The final straw was a demon door that wouldn't work. I think the series is popular enough that a "legendary" remaster would sell well...
5:00 That is so true.. I get nostalgia thinking about reading the guides in the game back in the day on the way home. Sometimes I reread those things until they fell apart even after I play the game just because 😅
Fable was so good that I experienced apathy for the first time as a child when I first beat it. I didn't want that game to end, they definitely could of add more content.
To answer your question in one word, YES! Fable and Fable II are absolute gems and Fable III, is not bad. It just didn't take the series anywhere really new or exciting.
Yes, yes it was. My dad got me fable one from blockbuster when I was 6 or so. I got fable 2 for Christmas when it came out and I got fable 3 for my 13th birthday. These games were my childhood. I’m so pumped for 4
The Fable franchise has been such a big fundamental piece in why I love rpgs. I think Fable 1 will always be special to me, but I had the most fun as a wee kid in Fable 2, baking pies and flirting with the dudes in Oakfield. (Also buying Fairfax was my DREAM come true!!), Fable 3 was...disappointing, but once you get over it, its a solid game! Being King/Queen and making choices that may make or break a Kingdom, our Beloved Albion.
After years of resisting I finally got an Xbox One S as my first Microsoft console. The Fable series was one of the heavy hitters, along with Gears, Halo and Alan Wake, that I was so excited to finally be able to enjoy. Although I picked up all three games, they have resided in the backlog waiting for that magic moment when I at last eat them up. This video made me even more excited to get to them asap. I miss the spandex, it just made you so much more SEXY. Cheers from Baltimore.
old stickers are easy to remove btw 1: remove manual, game and box art from case. 2: use some hand sanitizer to soak the sticker. the higher the alcohol percentage the better. as it soaks rub untill the paper rubs off. this should leave you with the sticker residue, if so 3: get some "goo gone" , they sell it at the dollar tree, dab light amount on to a tissue. then lightly rub said tissue in small circles on the case the sticker residue as well as other built up grime should come off easily. allow to air dry about 5 min then reassemble your collectible! :)
I love all the fable games and while 3 is my least favorite, it’s one that I still replay on occasion. I was always one of those weirdos who was genuinely interested in the story and lore that fable was setting up, it’s one long continuous story about the direct descendants of the first Archon, William Black, and their endless struggle against the forces of the void. I agree with Matty on all of his criticisms of 3, however, it still managed to tell a story that I remember to this day and I think that counts for something. SPOILERS BELOW THIS! My favorite part of fable 3 is when you are forced to drag your dear old friend and mentor Walter through the desserts of Aurora, he had been blinded by the demonic lieutenant known as “The Crawler” which subjects the brave sir Walter to his one and only fear… the darkness, unable to see, you must drag a panicking Walter through uncharted lands whilst the crawler haunts you both with insidious hallucinations. Fable 3 wasn’t perfect, but it still felt like fable, and had some of the hardest hitting story moments out of all the games.
@@ddsjgvk I actually agree with you, I fucking love fable 1 and it’s story but you can tell that the story and it’s emotional weight wasn’t as much of a priority in the first game as it was with fable 1 and 2. Personally fable 2 will always be my favorite, that game is full of some genuinely heart wrenching moments and it gets pretty dark towards the end. Also the character in fable 2 wasn’t voiced which helps me connect a lot more with my character, so that game just hits all the right beats with me. Fable 3 is still amazing though and is an under appreciated gem, if it has any flaws, it’s that it didn’t double down on the ruler mechanics enough. Feeling like a king and making big choices is always my favorite part of replaying fable 3, but unfortunately it’s short and sweet.
fable 3 is probably my favorite for the simple fact that you can combine the spells, the multiplayer was improved too but fable 2 just has it beat in every other way
The christmas feel i think comes from the Cristmas Carol setting like you might see Scrooge walking down the street, that and the Elfman sounding soundtrack echos Christmas in Edward Scissorhands.
9:39 this is so true. Playing as a bad guy in fable is soooooo fun. The coolest exploit in any game ive played is the one where you can kill everyone and buy their houses
Fable 3 wasn't my entrance game but it is the one I hold the most nostalgia for. I started with the original Fable as a 13 year old kid, barely understood the combat system and I mostly liked running around town or the Guild doing silly things. I got Fable 2 when I was 14, I played the entire game and ended up replaying the first to understand everything. When I got my hands on Fable 3, I had Xbox Live for the first time because the game came with one month of service. I played with randoms, married a nice boy who helped me fight the White Balverine and ended up buying everything but misunderstanding the passage of time at the end of the game, and I just did all the nice choices and didn't continue questing between or allowing my rents to refill the royal coffers... so a lot of people died in the end and I felt TERRIBLE. SO I REPLAYED THE WHOLE GAME. The third one will always hold a special place in my heart as my first real multiplayer adventures, I hate that we can't even connect to the live service to change our dog breed nowadays >.>
I’ve very happy we are getting a new one. I replay 2 and 3 every year. Not so much to completion these days. But I’ve actually never beaten the first one. I was new to rpgs like that as a kid and got stuck. I’m planning to finally go back and play here soon now that I do have a series x.
I loved both Fable 1 & 3 despite the flaws in both but haven't done Fable 2 justice yet. Interested in what they will do with the new fable game & hope they keep the soul from the original series but improve almost every aspect..
You're the first person I've ever heard even talk about the concept of a "Christmas game" let alone remind me of how fable was that for me lol .thanks for the nostalgia. I remember as a kid all of the things that i bitch about not being in the game now as an adult, as a kid i just used my imagination to pretend the game had lol
Man.. I love all three games, it's easily my favorite franchise. I just wish I could mash them all together with a highlight on the best parts from each game.
When I first purchased Xbox Game Pass, the first game I played was Fable. I remember the game being much more difficult as a kid, but the game was still extremely fun!
I absolutely loved Fable growing up on the original Xbox. Was one of my favourite games for a long time. Never got around to playing 2 but I would love to buy a PC port.
Sees the title, worries as there is a large devoted fandom. I noticed you didnt mention it, but lost chapters was the completed game, Originally "Fable" wasnt completed. Lost chapters added the end game. Patches and updates were not a thing so you had to buy a whole new game, to finish the game you started and the saves were not linked So you had to redo it all over. They didnt patch and exploits in anniversery which was great. You can run fable with 2 spells, the entire game. Magic shield and lightning. It is perfectly balanced, with no exploits what so ever as spiff would say. Now for fable 2 i feel the choices and world changes was much more then 1. I completely disagree that 1 was better on this. Give the warrents to sherif the town prospers, refuse the town rots, Same with oakfield, With temple of light or dark. And with Fable 3, It was great in the first half. After your ruler it was allot more linier. that said i loved that depend on your last save before the game it would read if you were male or female IF you baught fairfax castle. Depend on your "parent" previous fable 2 hero it would generate loot based on that, Male hero got some unique hammers, and pistols, while mother hero from 2 got swords and rifles. In the chests and shops.
Fable 3 was my very first fable and i was hooked. Brings me back to my boys crib us just fucking around with villagers after he got the evil route , halo , COD just good damn times
Am I the only one that likes 2 the least?? Choose your 1 of 3 endings, 360 stutter on jobs, always look like a fat pirate in end game, and NO boss fights (reused as normal enemy, and no last boss). I still enjoy the game, but not as much as 3 and 1 (the best).

That was Final Fantasy 9 for me
This is so relatable, I got FF7, Resident Evil 2, and Metal Gear Solid around different Christmas times, and it always made me nostalgic AF.
Man fable is one of my favorite games of all time, I just remember me being 7 and picking it up at the local game store, such a perfect rpg.
I loved the story, cutscenes, characters, gameplay, it just had a great soul behind it which a lot of games nowadays lacks.
plenty of games have soul behind them nowadays
I remember watching my brother play Fable when it came out. I was about 7-8 years old and I always loved watching him. Now I’m in my later 20’s and we’re getting a new Fable. Such a nostalgic moment for me
Fable 1 was probably one of the best Western RPG's made in the last 20 years.
Kotor 1 and 2 are far beyond fable 1 if you look at how deep kotor games were on the xbox, the current RPGS can't even compete with that yet .
Fable was a good RPG only kotor is far beyond a Fable and most rpg games .
@@Kopjekoffie980 Hence why I said "One of" and not "The" best RPG's to come from the West in the last 20 years.
Based!
This exactly. Loading time wasn't bad for my 360 so If I would go often. When the darkness crept into sanctuary I was both horrified and wowed.
One of my favorite series. I was really disappointed they didn't mention anything about a Fable Collection (for PC especially) during the event.
Just picked up Lost Chapters today for my series x and it turns out only Fable Anniversary for the 360 is backwards compatible😭
Don't you have to kill everybody to take the houses, Mr. good "hero" ? lol
@@TearMeOpenIBelieve No no. Every single town in the game has one empty house. After you buy it you have to spend even more gold to fully decorate it. I think the most expensive one is Knothole Glade
Demon Doors were such wonderful additions. Always fun to try and figure out how to unlock them, and then wonder what treasures were inside.
Fable 3 is my favorite of the series. I will die on that hill
I love all three mainline games for different reasons. They're one of the only game series I genuinely go back and play every 5 or 6 years.
I played 2 and 3. I don't Know why people hate on 3. It was great. The entire City Changes with your actions? How is that Bad.
Having only played 3 as a kid I loved it. Still hold it near and dear to my heart, can’t miss what you ain’t had after all.
Fable is one of my all time favourite RPG series and actually the first RPG game I ever played with my older brother when I got my first console. Got a lot of love for these games and can’t wait for the new one!
its a whole nother experience playing this game without knowing about molyneux as a kid.
Great game for me who never played a game like this before then
Good job posting this video right after the new game reveal. May the algorithm be in your favor
Fable TLC was the game that broke me out of WoW addiction back in 2009-2010. I was pretty much a one game Antoine at the time
Your right on the money with fable 3 as that was my first fable game and even after i played fable 1 and 2 i still love it for getting me into the series and for just being a reminder of a simpler time.
The first fable was my childhood man, i played that game for hours. I was better at it then my dad and uncles haha.
Fable is just pure magical and special. Absolute must have!
Fable 3 was a total summer game for me. Got it on summer vacation between my sophomore and junior year of high school and couldn’t put it down. Been replaying it on PC this year actually
Beat you to into the am lol I have multiple purchases from the site. I love it! Glad you're checking it out bro!
Yes! I remember being on Christmas break and staying up super late working at the blacksmith shop so I could buy a house in Fable 2
The original first Fable game is the only one i played because later ones were X-Box exclusive and were not on PC as far as i know so don't know much about those but the first one was a real special one for me, i really liked the story and the style of the game itself, a very fun game to play
Always been interested in this series, never learned about it, super excited to hear your take Matty
Oh and my one HUGE hate about Fable 2 and 3. Not being able to thump Reaver… or even kill him because he’s such an evil twit.
I loved these games! Brings back good memories
They need to drop Fable 1-3 remastered with improved combat “$49.99” boom 💥
Funnily enough when i played the game Kingdoms Of Amalur I kept thinking that was more the game i wanted Fable to be
Fable two was the first one I played then when anniversary edition came out my mom payed 40 dollars new for it and I was in love. The third was amazing for me aswell bc it was just the next interation in a franchise I grew up with
Brother came here after your Diablo video. Now seeign this one really hits me in the feels made me think we walked similar gaming paths looking forward to your future content. Subscribed!
I just played fable for the first time today and finished it in one day can’t wait to play 2&3
Fable 2 was it for me. Loved the story and journey. Also loved the characters and at the end just bullying poor bowerstone with swords and stuff
Fable was the game that got into RPGs I had a best friend who use to play the games finish and let me borrow or have. Don’t know where he is to this day but hope he’s doing good
I was a PlayStation kid so I missed this one. This review makes me want to pick the remaster up on pc. Thanks for this throwback man 😎
I never played the first two Fables; my parents never got me those games.
I loved Fable 3 as well it's my favorite of the 3. I did finish 1 as well but I have a soft spot for 3 too, never finished 2.
I was such a big fan of the first fable I wrote a eulogy to the guild master for a presentation for school.
I love how positive your videos are. subscribed.
Yes, yes, they were, a guilty pleasure you can enjoy and not take seriously, something you dont see in modern gaming
Fable III is my favorite. I like that you have to actually rule the kingdom and make decisions. The co-op is also great. Just another one of those things where I'll never understand the hate.
Me and my friends would legit write short stories of our own characters in Albion in 4th grade😂 we loved the game so much.
Fable 1 on Xbox, we played it all night for New Years 2004. Ahh the good times.
5:00
That is so true..
For fable 1 I have the lost chapters and I think I still have fable 2 I’m not sure but I personally prefer fable 2 over 1 mainly cuz of its story
Fable 2 and 3 feel like home. I’ve replayed them both so many times.
I think Fable 3 story actually bests fable 1 with TLC.
Ngl i thought the sanctuary in Fable III was so cool when i was 12, still do. Its like my own little lair to go over all my inventory.
The first one was goated for replayability with the sheer amount of play styles you can use.
One of my favorite booklets was for Saint's Row, the first one. It's a police file, which you only realize the significance of at the end of the game.
I’ve very happy we are getting a new one. I replay 2 and 3 every year. Not so much to completion these days. But I’ve actually never beaten the first one. I was new to rpgs like that as a kid and got stuck. I’m planning to finally go back and play here soon now that I do have a series x.
That music in the beginning god tier
I loved both Fable 1 & 3 despite the flaws in both but haven't done Fable 2 justice yet. Interested in what they will do with the new fable game & hope they keep the soul from the original series but improve almost every aspect..
You're the first person I've ever heard even talk about the concept of a "Christmas game" let alone remind me of how fable was that for me lol .thanks for the nostalgia.
I remember as a kid all of the things that i bitch about not being in the game now as an adult, as a kid i just used my imagination to pretend the game had lol
I loved the whole series, I've never understood the fable 3 hate, it's one of my favorite of the series.
I never understood the hate of the remake of the first game when it's has people on their knees doing you know what
Same here.
I like the Complete in Box experience. I think I spent more time with the manuals in this video than I did in the entire 360 generation.
Man.. I love all three games, it's easily my favorite franchise. I just wish I could mash them all together with a highlight on the best parts from each game.
When I first purchased Xbox Game Pass, the first game I played was Fable. I remember the game being much more difficult as a kid, but the game was still extremely fun!
Fable 3 was my first fable and I love fable 3 but after going back to the first 2 made me a permanent fable fan I can't wait for the new one
My cousin got me Black Ops 1 for Christmas and I didn’t even ask for it so it’s always been a Christmas game for me lol.
