Absolutely an amazing job. Amazing step by step video. Congratulations on yr skills and abilities to do this... And a great caliber to build.... Can you say about how many hours do you have in this great gun build? Thanks for sharing and Congratulations...

All that work to put that scope on? That beautiful build deserves a better scope.

Do as you like but I think this is a silly idea for a faster rate of rifling twist.
I own a Tikka T3 ultra-light in 7 mm Rem mag that shoots 180 Burger bullets exactly the same as all 7 mm bullets to a lesser weight.
This Tikka shoots all weights of bullets to the same High accuracy with only change of bullet impact is in weights of bullets fired.
Also, in my family we have been killing NW Oregon Roosevelt Elk through family generations with 7 mm Remington magnums shooting 150 grain bullets so well I don't see the need for heavier bullets.
Rifles in 7mm Rem magnums have been / Remington 700 /// Mossburg /// Winchester so 3 brains of bolt rifles have been used with the same killing affects in Elk.
The best load for Roosevelt Elk has been the Barns TSX or TTSX 150 grain bullets using 73 grains of IMR 7828.
By using the Barns TSX or TTSX in the 7 mm in 150 grain we get complete pass through on these Elk and never a bullet recovered.
We also are using 300 Wby magnums and a 338 win magnum but all 3 rifles from 7 mm Rem mag and what I just listed are absolute excellent Elk killers.

The faster twist rate is used to help stabilize long heavy for caliber bullets and help keep a higher ballistic coefficient up at extended ranges helping reduce Wind Drift and maintaining high velocity . The reason that all 7mm PRC rifles have a 1/8 twist rate to help stabilize their long 180 grain and above bullets.

@@kevinmcalhoun That is a bunch of nonsense.
The Tikka T3 ultra-light in 7 mm Rem mag shoots those 180 grain bullets exactly the same as shooing all the other 7 mm weights of bullets.
I am now 64 years old and from childhood my elders have used 7 mm Rem magnums from the North Oregon coast to Hunt Roosevelt Elk and in my guiding hunters starting in 1978 from the Pacific NW to Alaska the 7 mm Rem mag I have seen kill everything that these rifles have standard barrels.
I have at least 7 Yukon Moose killed by the Reminton ADL in 7 mm Rem mag my father left to my brother after his death from cancer.
Every one of those moose was killed by a Barns TSX or TTSX 150 grain 7 mm bullet with a complete pass through.
One of those moose was on a full tilt run for the brush and 600 yards so I made a hale Marry shot and just by stroke of luck the 7mm 150 grain Barns TSX struck in the lungs dropping the moose on its face with me standing looking for a moment in disbelief I even hit the moose.
I think some luck had to be in the speed of a 150-grain Barns TTSX bullet from reloads with so much pressure the primers go flat after shooting.
That 7 mm PRC won't do anything different on the same moose in Alaska.

Wow amazing build! one question, European here living in a damn Communist country, are you allowed in the US to build a barrel for your own use ??? or do you have to get a "gun maker" license ??? thanks a lot. awesome rifle.

Only thing that requires the use of an ffl is the action to build on if your getting one from a dealer all other parts including barrels you can get without any licence requirements.

@@kevinmcalhoun wow quite amazing, I'm a sport shooter, I shoot with .222 Rem because .223 is actually forbidden where I do live. gotta love the Second Amendment. #fvcktheeuropeanunion #fvcksocialism.

If you got the tools and know how, you can modify or build any rifle combination you can think of. The only restiction is that the barrel has to be 16" or longer on a shouldered firearm and not full automatic capable(Machine gun). A handgun has no restrictions. Silencer needs paperwork.

@@kevinmcalhoun In states not gone full communist yet 80% lowers allow a person to build a complete gun.
I have done 9 ARs in the 15s and AR 10s on 80% lowers using Pac Nor barrels
