Years ago i had an 80gal aquarium. It had about 30 zebra danios, 50 neon tetras (3 different colours if I remember correctly), 5-6 different types of cichlid, 3 different sharks, 2 blue cray fish and 4-5 crab. IT WAS AMAZING!!! Normally the cichlids aren’t compatible but all the smaller fish (2 different species) would stay all schooled together Moving around the tank in a group and The cichlids would generally leave them alone. The best part about the crayfish and the crab is that they clean the bottom of the tank even any fish that die.

It's been awhile since I kept fish, but I thought the general rule for fish capacity was 1 gallon of water = 1 inch of fish. This may be different now, or maybe different because of the living plants in your tank and/or filtering system? As far as acclimating the fish first, if I didn't have a spare tank to quarantine my new fish, I would hang their bags in the tank to let the temp equal out, then add 1/2 to 1 cup of aquarium water to the bag, then proceed as you did. I'm not giving you a hard time re: your method, as I believe 1) these little fish are pretty hardy (I believe); and 2) it's more important to quarantine new fish if you already have an established tank and are not sure of your new fish source. Since there were just a couple cory cats in there, I think you're safe. However, I do believe you have too many fish in the tank. Yes, it's big at 167 gallons (?), but that would mean 167 inches of fish - at least to my reckoning. The tank set up is stunning and beautiful. I know this vid was posted over a year ago, but I would love to see how it's doing now. Thanks for sharing!

Your tank looks AWESOME! Could you please give a bit of information on this? I'm intrigued by Aquascaping, planning to get a new Tank in the next Summer holidays. How did you make the trees? Which Rocks did you use, looks a bit like Sandstone and I love how this material looks, how many gallons fit in this tank? Would be awesome if you'd answer, still planning how I want to make it look :)
Oh I see Rachel says emerald Rasbora you jump ... I've been putting that in your comments since the desert tank ... but whatever just happy to see them get some love.

These fishes are living the live so much better than mine rn
This is such a beautiful tank! Hair/string algae isn't even unsightly in this set up.
I have several Emerald Eye Rasboras. They are the tightest schooling fish I have ever kept. They are very interesting to watch. They have actually replaced Neon Tetras as my favorite fish to keep. I would love to see a large school of them in your aquarium
Hello, have you had any heater problems like it went too hot for your tank? It happened to me today.
I always liked the neon tetras, colorful but unassuming little guys, great schooling fish.
That setup looks amazing 💪🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥
Add one oscar to that tank.
Kidding.
At least a million Pygmy cories would be dope
Dylon I would do Corydoras habrosus. They have more Cory-like Behavior. Pygmy Cory’s are more in the middle.
Very Nice! I am just getting back into this. I really like your ideas.
OMG, what a BEAUTIFUL tank!!
worm at 3:51
And White Tetras would be SO nice in that tank (the white doves of fish)
Where? Can't see it.
@@Helveteshit literally at 3:51 top left (RIGHT above the monte carlo, kind of where they make the "V" shape)
GOOD GOD MAN WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING!?! The tank looks amazing but I can't stand listening to you.
Me neither.
Why is he hyping us up for some fish??? We can appreciate them without his *shouting*
DemstarAus he’s not screaming just turn down your freaking volume
Those who are complaining about the volume...turn the volume down on your phone/computer/whatever.
Imagine if this had no water and a frog or a lizard lived in it
JukesNYou and not an aquarium.
It would be called as terrarium
🤣
Very beautifull gaes.. i like your projeck .👍👍👍 I'am come from indonesia
That tank is absolutely beautiful I bet the fish will love that landscape I know I do, fairy tail forest nice 👍🏼
Such a beautiful tank. A large school of dwarf pencilfish may be more visible in there - maybe 100 of them?
The back light is great, it looks like the sun is going down at dusk, or the sun rising in the morning
I would love to see Neon Tetras school in there 😁
The tank is beautiful
I absolutely love what you did with this tank. I want my first aquascape to resemble this: like it's an ancient forest. What is the type of hardscape you used and what are all the plants in there? and what were the lights you used? CO2?
Your tank looks AWESOME! Could you please give a bit of information on this? I'm intrigued by Aquascaping, planning to get a new Tank in the next Summer holidays. How did you make the trees? Which Rocks did you use, looks a bit like Sandstone and I love how this material looks, how many gallons fit in this tank? Would be awesome if you'd answer, still planning how I want to make it look :)
Oh I see Rachel says emerald Rasbora you jump ... I've been putting that in your comments since the desert tank ... but whatever just happy to see them get some love.
I like your concept of scale keeping the fish small in contrast with the layout of the tank (I usually think more along the lines of general composition of the layout, but scale is a part of that). Cool aquarium.
i agree with him about the light to a point but it also makes for a really nice sunset effect, might do that with one of my tanks
Wow!, back lighting is amaizing! 👌🏽
A tiny octopus would look so cool in that environment
I think the orange is really pretty, looks like a sunset
What plant is that , that you used to make the tree ?
Monte Carlo I believe
U should have put 300 rummy nose tetras Because they are such tight schoolers
Many put a giant betta to encourage schooling behavior
And possibly some otos to eat the algae without losing the scale thing you have going on
GREAT JOB!!! TANK LOOKS GREAT
That is an absolutely gorgeous tank!
"[...] there's like a million of them right here chillin"
Chillin chilis?
Aren’t u supposed to add 5 fish at a time with 2 week intervals
300 fish at the one time is insane
Yeah but he wants money
No, you add all fish together at once. They are super small and won't matter one bit!
@@dukeshooter6993 it does matter
@@dukeshooter6993 they aren’t used to the tank and are allready scared and then you get a load of other equally scared fish and cram it with them, how does it not matter one bit?
With that kind of an epic setup, I personally would want fish with more predominant color so I can see them while I’m sitting on the couch. Like some neons or cardinals.
I hope fritz sponsors you, cuz you already rockin the shirt and the whole fritz fridge xD
Get some neon tetras for this beautiful tank
