  • In Part 1, I converted this Honda ATV with a dead engine into a battery powered rocket ship, using recycled hub motors and controllers. One of the hub motors stopped working due to a damaged hall sensor. This time I'll fix the hub motor and try to get it running at 100%..

That was a bit of bad luck with the controller, but I am very impressed that you fixed the hub motor! Even taking into consideration the perks of selective video editing and the potential deletion of times when things don't necessarily go quite right, you still make it look easy and clearly know what you are doing. So much so, that I firmly believe that all you edit out is the passage of time. Incredible talent!

3:21 superglue is a bad idea. At even small amounts of heat, the bond is broken. It's why it's an excellent tool for holding light work on a lathe. You can even use friction to unglue it from a rag. JB weld as you said, any heat resistant epoxy. Never superglue.
11:08 watching you work that motor, i've been thinking. Your area's relatively damp (certainly more damp than mine), you might want to paint these motors to add an extra layer of protection from water. A thick paint will do.
13:55 i got my finger pinched fixing a washing machine motor like that. Wasn't pretty, dark nail and the whole 11 spices of swear words. :))
16:44 am i imagining it, or are the right most caps on both banks a bit bulged?
