Good video. two days ago i won an auction for a Taos Blue MJT strat body and got all the hardware and electronics from stratosphere ( Search function is a bit of a mess as you said ...) . Also put an order for a luthier made neck. Hopefully it'll turn out great!
You won one??? That's amazing. Stratosphere has the best options but man I hate looking for things on there. They should really hire someone to organize that site better, it would be an immense help. Good luck on the build let me know how it comes out!
No, and the good news for you is they are all the way at the corner of the North East, so it's a pretty direct route to the UK. Shoot them an e-mail, i'm sure they'd give you a reasonable price!
Saw an interview with Stephen Pearcy where he brushes on the subject of broke bands in the early eighties fishing for reject bodies in Charvel's skip....a bit out there but maybe some truth in it
Great video. I've been thinking about building myself a tele for a little while now and you gave me great advice on how to source the parts. Thanks!
Glad I could help! Let me know how it turns out for you
Thank you for making this video bro 🎸

I clicked Like just for the puka-shells 👏
they have since been destroyed by my dog :(
Stratosphere have such a great range! Do you think I'd experience difficulties having stuff sent to where I am?

I think any story that sounds as ridiculous as that has to be true because... who in their right mind would make that up???
What about Warmoth ?
It's another option for sure, but they don't do nitro finishes so they never really appealed to me.
Stratosphere parts is down for maintenance
Actually they moved to doing business as an ebay store only.
U have 666 subs
Luckily that didn't last long 😂
Guitarfetish does not have left-handed choices so they're kind of useless to me
They did at the time, I built a left handed guitar for a friend using parts bought mainly from them.
My “partscaster “ parts cost? 3k.
Muhahaha.
I don’t build low end stuff.
I build more pre cbs than even fender does.
that's awesome, would love to see some of it
