Its not often we get an airplane that we think there is no way this will fly! However, when this one came damaged and promised so much, we definitely had our reservations about the flight ability of this aircraft. However, it flew and due to high comment demand, you guys really really really wanted to see this fly off of water. This will probably be a disaster. Lets have some fun and see if this can fly off water! Let us know your thoughts on this rc plane in the comments!

Ok... colour me very impressed! That ugly duckling is fantastic! I couldn't help laughing at the fact Nate said "Not a joy to fly" at the beginning of the previous video, but by half way through the flight he has changed his opinion to "Hey! This thing is really fun!". LMFAO! Now I want to get one... badly.
Oh yeah, I completely agree with the whole AMA thing. Herd in Canada, we have MAAC, and when people approach our RC club, the first thing we tell them is. "Go to the maac site, and get signed up first." Its like car insurance... you might think nothing will happen because you are an awesome driver... but there us always that one day when you aren't at your peak... or maybe equipment failure... and then you're done for. Being sued for damages isn't fun.
Okay, but how does the plane takeoff if there are no bodies of water where one lives???

Ya it’s actually really cool, I also seen the ad for it a year or more ago and he drove it up that little incline in the water and then when he put the phone in the slot and flew it through the buildings ! Lol it’s definitely a really unique unit and worthy to be part of a collection because of its uniqueness. Awesome job ! Keep up the Great Work and Vids ! Stay and Play Safe ! 👊👍

Try spraying the bottom with “Super Never Wet” hydrophobic coating and watch what happens. If you’ve never tried (played with) this product you’ll be amazed

Just like the Skipper from Hobby King. It does need some EXPO to really fly smoothly tho. They are great grass and water planes. I use a 1300 4s in my Skipper.

Nate Abby I just wanted to thank both of you so much for putting this video out for all to see.unfortunately that $100 plane is now $300 plus batteries, but it is definitely well worth The fun you get out of it.

Needs some dayglo trim on the wing leading edges and vertical fin it just vanishes into the scrubbery low down,nice seaplane area but a boat standby may be prudent.

I’ve had this jet for a year now and I do the same and I disconnected my stabilization as well and I hooked up FPV also ,tell you what I enjoy every minute of it !PS of course I use crossfire when I’m over the water and it hasn’t failed me yet knock on wood .God bless take care stay safe.
I did buy the ready to fly version that’s why I had stabilized hooked up at first and yes I did tape off my holes so I didn’t intake any water In the fuselage
Yet another rendition of the brilliant Laddie Mikulasko "North Star" concept, though this one is smaller. Plans for the original 44-inch span wooden 1986 "North Star" and the 2004 "Arrow" are on Outerzone. This configuration looks very promising for FPV. The speed range is amazing. Other foamie versions include: 27.5" span Skynetic Dragonfly Seaplane V2, and the Hobby King Skipper.

I would absolutely get one of these over something like the H-King (I think they are discontinued anyway) just because it's EPP! I love tough EPP planes. This is on my wishlist for sure.

You said you got this months ago... well, back in January this year, Alishanmao (youtube RC channel) flew one of these and was very impressed. His auto stabilisation worked "right outside of the box" as he is fond of saying, and I noticed in his quick unboxing that it came with a hot glue gun and two sticks of glue. So, now you've tried it and liked it, go watch his video! You'll love it, I promise you!
His must have been the RTF version, which does cost a bit more. Sounds like it could be worth it though if the stabilization works 😄👍⚓😎

On the advertisement video that slot on top of the plane that you pointed at with the battery lid thing is where you put your cell phone in so you can fly it with a camera 📸 or GPS
Ok I'm shocked... I expected this to sink and was actually rooting for disaster (sad to say). Pretty cool... I don't think I'd buy this plane though because... while it did more than we expected it still doesn't seem so great.

You should try contacting the manufacturer or the company you got it from and see if they can give you a replacement stabilizer or a new plane

Its a copy of Laddie Mikulasko's original 'Northstar' from the 70's/80's which has spawned many copies such as Steve Shumates Polaris, HK Mudskipper etc since.
Glad you came round and it won you over in the end.
Put a SAFE Rec on it and FPV gear and its an extremely versatile and huge fun waterway explorer plane for smooth lakes.
Mine was £40 for the kit only version and I just used miniquad components to keep the weight minimal. Deserves its place in my hanger 100%.

When I ordered that jet I sure did not get anything like that! Mine is tiny with 2 little props on the back. Thats actually the one thats really advertised like on FB. They do actually exist! wow!! That thing is pretty cool. Impressive.
I like the size of this one but I've seen you made better comments on the su 35 with led lights on the turbines. considering their price (under U$S 100) would you recommend this one or the sukoi?
