*Great Presentation, I have done many HVAC replacements in my life && this presentation was excellent, but keep in mind everyone has their own way or technique of installing. The process still follows the same sequence of operations. The old school way without the digital is still ok but ONLY if you truly know what your doing. Always double check with your freon gauges if issue cannot be figured out vs digital*

Sorry if this may sound like a stupid question. All the air handlers I have seen use a centrifugal type of fan design. In this fan design the air intake is parallel to the rotation of the motor and tangential directed to the side (like a 90 degree angle). The output if is blown directly to the evaporator. But why is the air intake of the fan not positioned accordingly? I am not an expert in air movement, For me it shouts air restriction. The speed of electronic signals going through twisted copper pair would be hampered if the wire bent in a 90 degree angle. I apologize in advance, I am not in the hvac industry.

Never even got to see duct board here out in San Francisco California.
I hear guys curse at it and call it A bunch of bad names.
Probably for the same reasons I curse at and call flex duct a lot of bad names.
The installers imp properly installing it or not being used into correct situation.
Literally tens of thousands of homes in San Francisco still have their original metal ductwork covered in asbestos wrap Actually holding up in pretty good condition for being 80 years old from the old gravity furnaces.
