Have really enjoyed your Part 1. and Part 2 videos on the Revell Spitfire Mk II. Up till now I have avoided buying Revell 1/32 scale kits. Due to some of the negative reviews I have seen by self appointed Spitfire experts who seem to have a personal grudge against Revell. Now. I am seriously considering getting the Revell MkII and the Mk IX.
Thank you for your very helpful videos on building this Spitfire. I have followed both videos closely and used them as reference whilst completing my own build of this aircraft. I particularly found your explanation of the weathering techniques helpful, as I have never tried this before but am going to do so on this model. (I am new to modelling, having taken the hobby up again in retirement, the last time I did any modelling was over 40 years ago!) I loved your slide show at the end.
Just for the matter of historical accuracy, the crowbar in the cockpit door, came in three colours, black, silver (bare metal) or green. Only the survivors after they retired the spitfire from active service were painted red. Information on this was from a WWII veteran spitfire pilot.
Another great model Michael. Good job. What is strange is that I watched part 1 two days ago and was wondering when part 2 would be uploaded. Thanks for sharing that. Onwards and upwards to the next video. Cheers. :o)
K K actually no, the instructions don’t show wheels up. My recollection came from the spitfire MK IXc although even there it only relates to the position of the flaps. I am sure a small modification would only be needed to fit the undercarriage in the up position.

Camo looks spot on. Top job on the panel line wash too

Great job mate. Looks like the paint wasn’t quite dry before you glossed it. That normally causes cracking
Cracks? You mean summer in the heat, fuel and plo natural weathering. Looks like that to me. Spit came out fantastic! Congrats!
Beautiful job on the build Michael

What movie are the film clips at the start from?
Dunkirk
Can this kit be made with the wheels up? Cheers.
gvp999999 Yes, it’s an option..
@@eddiegremlin Ok thanks. I couldn't find an option for it in the instructions. I'll have a play with it then when I get to that part.
