TRD Off Road Premium owner, secretly in love with Limited builds. Great work!!
Much appreciated! I love the TRD Off Road Premium’s. Thanks for the support!
I'm thinking of getting one for the beach. How much difference does the diff locker make?
Dude! You have no idea I search and search for an overland build of a 5th gen limited Runner! I thought I was the only one! I hope you make more videos on this and would love to share pics! I’m building mine out right now I have a 2014 5th gen 4Runner limited! Keep it up! Looks dope!
That’s awesome! I know, the limited doesn’t get much love haha. I appreciate the support and I will definitely be making more vids. Would love to check out your limited build too!
Ive got a 2014 Limited and slowly building it into it an overland rig.. This video is a living concept and i love it. Thank you!!
Awesome! I appreciate it!
Glad someone came out with a limited build for us guys that prefer the limited, man that thing is sharp 👌🏼. I have a very similar build in pearl white with chrome trims minus the camping accessories. I didn't have any luck with the avs visors, made my right window have a scratching noise and left was to stressed making the window come back down. I did have them put in right but they just wouldn't go up enough like it was to much material. I junked them but I probably go with the low profile stick on ones. Imo the quad yellow fog lights would look killer on this build. 👍🏼
Edit: please keep posting.
For real.
Limiteds are super popular around where I am, maybe even more popular than regular 4runners, but it seems like they get no love in the overland community despite pretty much being Junior Land Cruisers. Can barely even get a step or rockslider for the limited.

Great video, I’m also a proud owner of a 2016 4Runner Limited. I’ve been modding mine out for quite sometime. It’s great to see videos on other Limited owners modding out their ride. 😊Happy trails.
Right on! Love to hear you’ve been modding out your limited too. Happy trails!
This is awesome! I just got a limited and this is proof that a build can be done on a limited! Excellent mods and video!
As you where showing the front UCA ball joint I noticed the X-REAS plumbing is still installed. I removed my complete system when installing Bilstein 6110 coil over set up on my 2011 Limited. It's easy to remove, just be aware of residual oil leaking out so protect your driveway and/or garage floor. It will clean up the frame too.
I have a TRD Sport (same front end) arriving in November. This is exactly they build I want to do!! Great job!!
Damn! The cleanest Limited I've seen yet?? Well done, great sir!
Ay, thank you!!
finally someone building limited!
I have a 2012 Limited with the King 2.5 ext travel and remote resi. I highly recommend putting the Dr. KDSS BOTCK kit on there. The ride quality was day and night after I installed it. Definitely feels like I'm getting more for my buck now with the suspension. Sweet build
Very nice build! The limited trim package looks good the way you have it set up.
Thanks for posting this video for I got a 2017 Limited as well and I just started with the lift with Bilstein 5100 Front and 6100 for the rear. My next will be the rims and tires but not sure if I should go for a 17" or just keep the 20" with a bigger tires like the 285/55/R20. Also I am about to order the Morimoto headlights and tail lights since the stock sucks :) Thanks again and please keep posting updates for us to follow.
Keep in mind with the 20's and the rim clearance with bulkier tires. 17's would be ideal for offroad 😊
Beautiful 4runner bro.
Just bought a 2024 Limited. Ready to begin the mod life. I appreciate you sharing your set up!
Looks absolutely amazing, well done! I have an 05 Highlander Limited and I’ve always wanted a 4Runner. I just can’t commit to getting rid of the Highlander. It runs like the day it was purchased. Part of me wants to mod it out, but the other part wants to wait until the wheels fall off and just buy a 4Runner. Nonetheless, love the build and would love to own one like this myself someday!
Nice build, looking something like this for my 2021 nightshade. Love the build man. Keep more videos of this.
Nice rig!! I know you mentioned that the rotopack is temporarily inside, but thats actually a perfect spot for the trunk set up you have.
Thanks! And good call, definitely might considered keeping it there 👍
Love it!! Nice rig i would only add yellow fog lights to make it look meaner, great job 👏🏽
Very amazing set-up 👏 👌 🙌 ❤ beautiful 4runner
Great looking build sir. I’m not from California. I didn’t realize that you could have a to character license plate. Awesome.
Much appreciated! Yeah I snagged the 2 digit plate when they first rereleased the black and yellow plates 🤘
I currently own a modded 470 but i would love to own a 5th gen limited. Eveyone around here has the TRD offroad or pro. Dont see many limiteds, awesome build man and keep up the awesome content
Right on! Love the 470s! Right… not many limited around. Appreciate it!
Great video brother. Can’t wait to watch more trail videos..🔥
Thank you 🙌
More to come!
Sweet build! I have a '16 MGM Limited. It's going to take me a while to get mine to your level, but seeing your build gives me the motivation to keep going! Looking forward to more videos!
Thank you! Sweet. Slow and steady!
This has me debating a Limited again! Currently a 03 WJ Limited owner...had it since a few years after college and now in my 40s it's finally on its last legs. Plus POS Mopar quits making parts for older Jeeps and overall Jeep isn't quality anymore. Planning on getting a 4Runner. The one thing that has irked me with Toyota is how basic features in other brands like Climate Control aren't available outside of the Limited and TRD Pro. However, when I can get an 2021 ORP for over $7000-$9000 less than a 2021 TRD Pro it makes stepping down a thought. I see a 4Runner as a 15-20 year vehicle. Second owner of my Jeep and probably last with how I've ridden it. I'll miss the V8 most. Thanks for the inspiration!
2011 4Runner Limited owner here. You will be very pleased with the long term reliability of 5th generation 4Runners.
I have a 2016 Limited that I’ve started modifying myself did swap out the bumper cover for a Trd version, then added bulbar bumper. but a lot of the similar mods that you’ve already done KO2, Molly panels.
Very impressive!
@Q9 Overland How / what did you use to black out all of the chrome? Big chrome bar on front, grille, door handles, side panel chrome, and rear chrome? Whatever you did looks great, looking to do the same.
Check out this video I put up explaining what I did! ua-cam.com/video/gOzZh_rgcp4/v-deo.html
I’ve never seen a limited beyond mall parking lots and without the soccer mom driving. I would get a front bumper replacement so nobody knows it is limited
Great looking truck. I'm picking up a 2018 Limited this weekend. Question: below you said you had to use the black overlays b/c your plasti-dip kept getting dinged by rocks. Where did you find such a thing? I'm new to the T4R world so don't know much about sources. If you had a link that'd be great. Thanks and again really cool truck.
Thank you! That’s awesome. No doubt you’ll love the limited. I got my overlays on cartrimhome, they have a lot of great stuff for the 4Runners. See link below. Welcome to the T4R community! cartrimhome.com/Front-Bottom-Bumper-Lid-Cover-Strip-Trim-For-Toyota-4Runner-Limited-2014
best of both world full tech with off roading
Great truck.
Thank you! Absolutely love this thing.
So sick!!
Thank you! 🙌
Really cool build, that thing is a beast. Great video. I have a gunmetal 2010 SR5 and just bought the exact same Method 312/BFG wheel and tire combo for $2k on Craigs list. I am stoked as they look awesome on your truck. Now I have to schedule a 3” lift and choose suspension for non off-road mainly. 2 Questions. 1. Road noise on daily driving ? Is it bothersome? Usually have tunes on but hoping the 285 KO2 are quiet enough. 2. Where did you get the black screws for your 312s? I agree the all black looks sick. Also FYI I had a pioneer head unit put in to replace the old school unit and it has been fantastic. I even got a new facia trim on Amazon to eliminate the rotary knobs so it is a big upgraded look. Apple car play is perfect and great sounds from upgraded JBL. Thanks again.
Thank you so much! Love this thing. So awesome to hear you scored the same wheel/tire combo. Such a sweet deal too. You’re going to love them. Road noise is not bad at all. Most of my road noise comes from my tent but before I put that on, road noise was pretty quiet. Especially with tunes on. I daily my rig as is and with tunes on, doesn’t seem to bother me at all. As far as the bolts, I just ordered the kit straight from methods website. Ended up being $100 or so but changes the whole look! And super easy to install. I’ll definitely have to look into that head unit too. Sounds sweet! Thanks for the comment.
@@Q9Overland Thanks for the reply. I will order the black bolts. I just ordered an Eibach stage 2 pro lift kit and SPC UCA so I am going a bit over plan on budget but this vehicle is a keeper and worth the investment. Can't wait to get it all set up.
Bad Ass Rig!!! Love the kings but no budget yet for now i use Eibach stage 1 on my 2021 TRD ORP
Sweet build dude. I have a Limited Nightshade and I love it. Planning to do some mods, we don't do any heavy off roading, just need to add some functionality and storage for business use. Does the rear RADO shelf system obstruct your view at all. I always liked them and have been hesitant since I put a lot of highway miles on it and just want to make sure I have a free and clear view.
Much appreciated! Love the nightshades. I was definitely worried about it obstructing my view, but I was pleasantly surprised. When the top shelf
is at its highest setting, it doesn’t obstruct the view at all! Highly recommend.
@@Q9Overland Awesome! Thanks for the feedback, I am ordering today.
Inspiring build! I just pick up the same one. How did you blackout the chrome in front and back (the emblems)? Overlays? Dip?
Looking good. I was looking to see if anyone knew if Baja designs kit can replace the fog lights on a limited via plug and play.
It looks so good, I have a 2013 OG 5th Gen SR5, which looks like a limited. Definitely gives me motivation for my truck. Any plans for amber fog lights, they do a great job for the sides.
Appreciate it! Love the OG 5th gens! And amber fogs are definitely next on the list of upgrades 🤘
Beautiful!!!
I went to the dealership on Saturday to get rid of my piece of crap Ram. I was looking for just a basic SR5. Ended up driving home a Limited. I'm spoiled now
Looks great! I have a TRD Sport and I’m working on a few similar mods. I noticed your water pack and hatchets mounted on the Rago fab racks in the back. Are you concerned about those things flying forward and injuring passengers/driver in a front end crash? How secure are they?
I have a sport as well and I can tell you first hand those quick fist mounts are really secure. Good luck with the build man. I'm going to start a channel for my TRD Sport as well. We tend to be the step child for some reason in the 4runner world but I love mine and it does everything I need it to off road without issues
Nice! They're pretty secured on there with mounts!
@@R3Dz06I actually prefer the limited and sport trim over the others. With just a modest lift the vehicle just looks like a complete tank. Thick….just the way I like it!!
I have a 2019 Limited Nightshade. Which raptor lights did you get from Amazon. I keep hearing on the Limited they have to go on the lower grill. You definitely have a nice rig! Watching this made me decide to get the Rago Shelf system
These are the raptor lights I have from Amazon: amzn.to/43og187
Awesome! I love the Rago shelf system!
why this 4 runner limited is already perfect in off road normal not touch on, you put a lot of money on hit :)
i hope you clim big big rock
Sweet
Did you say it’s. 2.5 inch lift? I’m looking at a limited rn, stock but def wanna put some 33s on em
Sweet rig
Can you list the blackout kit used too?
Is the power running board assembled at the factory?
Which hard cases are those in the trunk for your camera gear?
What are you using for running boards?
What did you do with the KDSS
Did you paint or buy a chrome delete kit? If so, which kit are you using?
A mix of black overlays from cartrimhome and plastidip 🤘
Can you put the link for the raptor lights please
Nice limited! Did you have Xreas removed? Do you have a link where you got your kings lift? Appreciate it! Cheers!
Which specs do your wheels have? Metho MR312 which bolt pattern and offset?
17in - 6x5.5 with a 0 offset 👍
Where did you get all of the parts to replace the chrome?
Check this video out! ua-cam.com/video/gOzZh_rgcp4/v-deo.html
Question, I just installed the shelf system rago as well using. The top of the molle panel. It’s looks like it it’s high and the opening is not to wide worrying maybe not a lot will fit.
Any thoughts?
Por favor diga-me o código da cor que você utilizou para pintura dessa maquina
Do you live in Texas? I swear I saw your car driving by target tonight hava
Did you get the 33s before or after the lift? Figuring out new tires for my 2020 limited, just not sure how much I can get away with without lift/BmC
Since I’ve heard most people tend to chop for a 33
I did the lift and 33's at the same time!
Is the chrome delete vinyl or covers?
Did you removed the step board?
How did you delete the chrome?
I Plasti Dipped all of the chrome. However with the big chrome strip on the front bumper I found that rocks kept creating holes in the dip so I ended up going with the black front bumper overlays 👍
@@Q9Overland looks amazing. Been on the fence about getting a 4runner. Want the limited for the full time 4wd/awd but really don't like all the chrome. Swapping fronts with sr5 doesn't look as easy as I would've hoped, but yours looks really good. Making me rethink things. Thank you.
Great looking build man! I also have a Limited 4Runner so it's great to see more Limiteds with mods! Let's go on a trail one day.
@@KimChuTV thank you! Love your 4Runner too. Let’s definitely hit the trail one day!
which raptor lights are those? link?
Seven Sparta from Amazon 👍 a.co/d/cKFALuH
and the upper grille? you mustve swapped it in order for these raptor lights to fit correct?
@@alexvle Nope, the entire grill is actually stock. Only thing that I did was black out the chrome and new headlights!
@@Q9Overland interesting.. last time i checked limited vs sr5, trd pro trims have different upper grills. where for the sr5, trd pro’s have triangle fittings for the raptor lights and for the limited its more rectangular?
can i msg you on instagram, id love your help on building my dream 4runner 🙏🏽
@@Q9Overland love this!! Amazon overlays for the blackout grill to cover the chrome? Matte black I assume. I have the same year and color. Do you have link for blacking out the chrome/emblem/4Runner text above the rear license plate?
About how much did the lift cost
No links?!
How much lift did you go to clear the 285s without any rubs/ no BMC?
2.5in of lift in the front and no rubbing! No BMC needed either
@@Q9Overland thanks bro
