    It's a very unique home. I love the layout of it. I think I would put an extra bedroom and bathroom upstairs or a playroom.

    Very awkward layout and the entrance looks like a tunnel into a cave. The bedrooms will get street noise. I love to watch home tours and this is one of two houses so awkward I could not live in. The water heater in the attic is asking for problems.

    Love the kitchen,the separate fridge and freezer is my dream,would be great in a house that didn't make me feel trapped walking in the front door.

    No privacy, visitors have to walk past the bedrooms to get to the rest of the house.

    I like a foyer where you have room for a bench to sit down and put on your shoes with a closet there as well. I like a laundry room where you have a place to put your laundry baskets. I like the bedrooms to be towards the back of the home. Walking into the front seems like being closed in with no open feel to it and the same as entertaining the home.

    Interesting floor plan how they flipped everything around. It still has some good points
    Such as the foyer, ceiling in foyer, main bathroom, especially the shower, both fireplaces, outside patio.
    The kitchen is nice , I do like the separation of frig/freezer.
    Tfs

    Of all the floor plans I have seen this has to be the most awkward. You can hear it in your voice that I am right. For instance why waste all that space on a stair case to the attic.

    Love the rotunda, but I prefer my bedrooms in the back versus the front. I definitely wouldn't want the bedroom off the front patio. They are going to be disturbed every time people sit out there, whether they hear conversations or someone smoking out there. I see wallpaper is making a comeback. Those pinecones have to go lol.

    Water heater goes bad and ruins the downstairs. Thats not too smart. They could have done something with that attic space. At least finished the part with the dormer. It’s a very odd house.

      The worst place for it. This has been better in the garage or basement but not attic what a mistake.

    I wish I had stairs to my attic space, pull down ladders are so inconvenient and make it difficult to use the storage up there. Our water heater is in the attic.

    My bedrooms are in the front of the house but the front door is located after the bedroom area. I slept during the day and was usually not disturbed by noise. Also it allowe more privacy in the living room. 😊😊😊

    It gives sort of English Country House vibes. I can't quite decide how I feel about the layout overall. It's definitely different. It had some nice features, though, and the decor was lovely. 🙂👍

    Like the home EXCEPT the Kitchen, very much in need of more cabinets, especially upper cabinets. The double refrigerator freezer takes up valuable space and should be scrapped, the wall oven again over kill when there is a oven range ready and waste of space too, make more storage.

  • @mcrchickenluvr

    That wallpaper in the powder room would have to go. That print is way too big for that tiny room.

  • @daloriscutone6380
    @daloriscutone6380 7 місяців тому +1

    The water heater malfunctioned, damaging the downstairs. It would have been wiser to utilize the attic space, perhaps finishing the section with the dormer. The house is peculiar.

    I like most of the home with the exception of the entry to the primary being towards the front of the home. Secondary bedrooms in the front are cool, not the primary. Love the look of the exterior tho

    Hmmmm, I have mixed feeling about this one. I love the big fridge and big freezer right handy in the kitchen, and that master shower is very nice. I'd definitely have to lighten up the color palette in the front entry....it felt very claustrophobic to me, though the small rotunda was a cool feature (just not in that dark green.) I'm really disappointed that the upper level was left unfinished. At least put more of floor up there instead of all that visible insulation. Having the staircase does make for easy access and I bet there is some option to have finished space up there, especially since there are windows.

    They really missed an opportunity not putting in an arched front door to match the opening. Cute house though, love the colors they picked out.
    The house I grew up in had real stairs to the attic so that’s not so weird to me

    So much space and it feels wasted. I live in a 700 SQ ft two bedroom apartment and three of us living in it. No deeper tubs for soaking either! The heating and AC could be done differently and use tankless hot water heaters and the attic used for office or studio space. Even if I could pay cash for the house, I would give it a pass.

    One of the more odd layouts I’ve seen. Why even waste sf with the unfinished stairs leading to the attic. Looks half insulated also?

  • @joytotheworld9254
    @joytotheworld9254 7 місяців тому

    Just park the cars outside and make the garage a game room or make it into 2 more rooms with a full bath in that area. Also make the upstairs into an open sitting lounge area. LASTLY, the back of the house need to be in the front and the front of the house needs to be in the back. Walking into a house and it’s not open and a long hallway is weird and unsettling. Kitchen, living room, and dining room space need to be in the front of the house.

  • @stevenkaskus6173
    @stevenkaskus6173 7 місяців тому +1

    Too many windows in the dining area, can't put up or in a China cabinet, need to delete a set of windows on the side like maybe the ones looking onto the brick covered patio and if not that one the other set of windows on the side.

    • @susanfisher606
      @susanfisher606 7 місяців тому

      Most newer homes in the south do not have a basement unless the geography is hilly or mountainous. The unfinished attic is actually common in the older homes in the south, and yes I have seen many homes with the water heater and hvac in the attic.

    • @JonEricGurian
      @JonEricGurian 7 місяців тому

      would not say older homes as im in a new community new home - stone martin and that is how our attic is with water heater hvac all in unfinished attic. As per basement you are correct as most are on slabs - which amazes me as you would think with tornados a basement style home would offer that protection. i guess the clay soil here is to difficult in that capacity. @@susanfisher606

  • @justgivemethetruth

    The public spaces should always be on the lower floors ... this is quite unusual. Not good.
    Is there outside stairs or something to the second floor? You have to lug your groceries into the house, down a long corridor and upstairs ... and with a large house that's a lot of bags and a lot of work. This is ... to put it bluntly ... terrible.
