I love this! Completely get rid of the bunkbed room. That needs to be apart of my master bedroom, bathroom and closet. I’d also need a tub❤ never the less it’s beautiful!
I didn't know that I needed a butler pantry until just now. Thanks for messing up my day. Now I have to figure out how to build one in my existing home. But for real, that's a nice simple floor plan.
The attention to detail and floor plan is a notch above most I have seen. Most are built economical with minimal windows. Balance and symmetry in the placement of these windows, the size and scale are perfection. A residential architect had to have been involved in the design on this one. Still spacious, but not empty, void or cavernous walls or spaces. Just the right measure/serving of volume. The plumbing placement, inside center plan is economical and I can see wisdom in the center quadrant. Just came out of sub artic winter where water pipes in exterior walls had sleepless night company. With the strained power grid you never know how long you may be without power. LOVE THIS ONE! Evict the owner, I am coming home!
Do you people making certain comments here NOT UNDERSTAND that this is a CUSTOM HOME??? All the things you want to see can be ordered YOUR WAY, when you buy one of these homes! Such closed-mindedness.. it is astounding!
I would have made the bunk room an office and put the bunk room on the other end of the house. But a pocket door to the hall where the office is, so the master end of the house is all private.
I was so happy to see the butler pantry!! Beautiful addition with lots of space!! Interior and exterior colors are perfect. Only personal change would be no bunk room just a huge master but flip the layout where the spare rooms are behind the kitchen area. That would fit my eary bird needs. Gorgeous!!!
All these comments say one thing: sometimes we all forget to step back and think about the “majority” of our time and days. Speaking for myself, would I use that bunk room 85% of the time? Not even. Normally it’d remain empty. More like maybe 10-15% of the 365 days in a year. So for me, that plan would be something I would entertain. Don’t like the idea of sharing that “potty” with a bunch of messy kids? Maybe the pocket door could be swapped for a “real door” and kids could be directed to use the other two bathrooms across the hall. Not a far walk from the bunkroom. This plan might even be fairly wheelchair friendly if the master bath “corridor” were just widened up a bit and accommodations were made. Great job to @1845Barndo! Just a thoughtful, different kind of floorplan without totally reinventing the wheel!
Charlie, I LOVE this design with the full length pantry behind the kitchen.. It's perfect. I would do the one whole side as the master suite. Love the colors.. great build.
This is EXACTLY what I want… only change I would do is the bunk room to be my walk-in closet with access to the laundry room (bigger laundry room) That’s it!!!! And do y’all have builders in WA state?
can I get the color numbers for the exterior paint? Or just the name of the charcoal grey and from what brand? I would like to buy a sample to see what the color looks like before jumping the gun.
Can you tell us a little about the wooden beams? Are they legit beams or something cheaper since they're just for looks and don't need to support anything? Did those add significant cost to this barndo?
For the love of all that is Holy, please open the doors to show the spaces in all the closets and pantry storage areas. IMHO That's what hels sell the properties! Smh 😂
Went on your website. Not much information. Roughly, what would the cost be on a project like this, with all the bells and whistles? Curious family here 👍
This is gorgeous! I like the layout, too. The hallways on the outside walls is a great use of space and adds another level of privacy to the sleeping spaces. I would add about 10 feet or so to the end beyond the master and bunkroom. Move the master closet to this space as well as a true laundry room that also has exterior access. The closet could connect to the laundry and the bunkroom connects to the laundry/mudroom. Reconfigure the master bath space to accommodate an additional toilet making that a true half bath outside the bunkroom and not connect the two. The current laundry space in the butlers pantry could be additional cabinet/counter space. As a bigger family with six kids we need that mudroom laundry space - and all the toilets. We currently have 1 and 1/2 baths and there is always someone waiting.
I literally was picturing this type of build just the other day! Love the symmetry! A couple changes for me and my family though. 1. A mudroom and or shoe and coat room built outside of the front door so when you enter you have a place to hang your coatss and change or remove your shoe's. I'm from Michigan so thats a must with snow and wet springs. 2. Nix the bunk room and make half a full laundry area, and half a pet/ dog, cat room. ( I have both and they have their own rooms now. Also passage through the dog room outside through the wall to a large fenced area. And a joining passage to the master bedroom for their access to us. 3. Maybe doors closing off the hallways seeing if you leave the bathroom after a shower you need to get to the bedroom via the hallway. If you had guests that would be kind of awkward. 4. Maybe a morning patio just outside of the master bedroom accessed by a doorwall. So when you get up you can sit outside in private and enjoy the morning coffee. 😊
Sounds like your pets are living their best life with their own rooms! Maybe they're secretly plotting to take over the house next. 😄 Your ideas for the mudroom and morning patio are spot on for those Michigan winters and peaceful mornings.
The inside of this barndo is beautiful 😍! I absolutely love the stone work and flooring. What brand and model are the floors? My husband and I are planning to build a barndo but we are still deciding on the home model. This is the exact flooring and stone work that we are looking for. We are having trouble finding companies in Virginia to do more than just the framing install. We may reach out to your company to help walk us through the process.
LOVE this. For my purposes the bunk room would be my craft/nail/office room and I’d add a glass pass-thu above the toilet, shower and closet to bring in natural light. Or I’d completely switch the bunk room for the master bath. But I love what you created. I’m on pause now but do you sell the plans for this? I’m in MN and would build here or possibly TN. Thank you
Love your guys work. I am a builder in Florida. My opinion is, a barndo is not a barndo without a large attached workspace. To me that's the main benefit. Also. Standard metal roofs are awful, I hope you guys are pushing customers to a proper standing seam metal roof.
Thanks for watching. We are truly a custom home builder, we do some concealed fastener roofs, not as many as I would like. I agree regarding the verbiage, we are buildings metal houses in most cases, not a true "barndo". But like with any builder, we build what the customer wants and needs, and give as much info and expertise as possible! What part of Florida are you in?
I LOVE everything about this Barndominium, but sadly way to big for my needs. I would need 2 bedrooms & 1 bath no more than 800sqft because it's just me. You all do beautiful work!
Love, love love the central living space separating the bath and bed spaces. The butler's pantry - ❤! Having trouble envisioning the actual floor plan. Couldn't find it on the 1845 barndominium website. Where could I find that?
Is it possible to see dimensions of this house. I don’t see any numbers in the plans. I would like to know how big that living space is and how tall are the ceilings
Too much open room - its going to be loud cooking / cleaning etc - tv on its a loud museum type atmosphere. - So build me a wall around the kitchen- and at least a wall on both sides of the living room- take out some of these windows which are liabilities- with out interior wall separating the kitchen its going to be loud... I would make the bunk beds down the hall- grand kids get loud through your interior thin walls.
Has anyone done any modifications to this plan. I love the way it’s laid out especially the living kitchen and pantry. I would do away with the back hallway but love the front hallway. I’d also like to see a 2000 sq foot version.
So what does an exact build like this cost? Im in california looking to buy some acres in the Tehachapi area and looking into barndominiums and one like this looks perfect!
We can provide an estimated cost to build this layout. If you will fill out a Request a Quote form on our website, we are happy to send you some information.
I think the master is too small and yes too many windows in the bedrooms and not enough wall space. I’m interested in this model but I’ll definitely make modifications to the plans.
They won't do that because the price would turn people away from watching the videos. Also pricing for things in different regions can be very very different.
We can ship the "shell" and provide pricing for it to your area in Kansas, we don't provide pricing on each model for privacy reasons of our customers info, as these are custom. We will have live shell pricing up within two weeks.
For the life of me, I don't understand why you don't do something about that Electrical Box in the pantry. Is there a code that would stop you from putting a fake cabinet around it? I realize you have to put it somewhere, but right in the middle of the house. Where everyone who walks down that hall is going to see it. I mean in a closet or perhaps on the wall behind the washer/dryer? Or would that be a code issue? Gorgeous house, .
This is my favorite home yet!! I’d prob use the bunk room space for another purpose, but if I had several children who would eventually give me several grandchildren, this bunk room would be perfect. I love the bunk beds, and the piping your carpenter did for the bed rail and stairs is just gorgeous! Kudos to him/her for making that bunk room amazing!! I love how grand the house looks when you come in the front doors!! It looks to be much larger than 2700 sq ft! The olive green cabinets in the butler’s pantry is the perfect color, and I’d prob add another stove/cooktop to the room just to have it when I needed it. I never leave comments, but I feel this video deserves it. Y’all outdid yourselves on this home, in my opinion. Congratulations to the homeowner, as well!!
Beautiful Home and design. However, I do agree with most of the viewers regarding the bunk room. Great floor plan. How about showing the garage and shop?
The shop is quite full with items, we were not able to shoot because of not having the space.

Stunning home, but not sure I would have chose to put the AC unit right outside the M.B. Plenty of other spots I would have chosen.

Beautiful! How much should someone budget for a house like that?
This is such a thoughtfully built barndo. The layout and finishes are perfection.

I don’t like shelves in the kitchen dust collector prefer cabinets you fit more
I would get rid of that bunkers room and make that room apart of my master
The bunk room is an excellent idea. I will definitely have to incorporate that in my future build. I love your work!
I'm in love 😍 with this fireplace and the kitchen, living area 🥰😊🤩💝❤️💯💯💯💯
