I just used contact cleaner on my pro controller and 3yo joycon that had serious drift and now works like new! So many people just buy a new one straight away before doing this simple fix

instructions unclear, my joystick is crazy fast now, like even applying a tiny bit of force puts it instantly on the edge of the joystick holder in the shell, I even started to notice that I'm actually denting the plastic because the joystick just moves *that fast*. Can someone help me fix this issue?? oh also my controller is starting to break because the joystick moves at mach 100, my controller is now dead

Random, 37 yo dad. Worked perfectly. The little rubber band was wound around a pine needle and it made the path an oval and wouldn't center lolol. No compressed air or alcohol required here. Thanks!
To access the buttons you would need to take it apart one step further by opening up the front part of the controller after splitting it in 2. Its not too much more work, but before you try that, I would recommend to try and use a q tip with rubbing alcohol and clean off the edges of the button, that might help!

I know this video is a year old but PLEASE HELP!!!! I have a really weird case where my right stick only drifts when my left stick is pushed up. I tried looking it up to no avail. PLEASEE
Hey pal, I have a relatively new pro remote and since day one I noticed when in the 12-3 position during gaming I can feel a slight grind type feel only in that position 12-3. The right stick in comparison is 💯 smooth. Is this a production fault and will it grind plastic inside eventually leading to drift which I don’t have yet. It is annoying to feel that grind when other console s like Xbox controller never had this issue even after hours of constant gaming. Btw joycon are absolute Grinding crap. I can hear all the gears/springs grinding especially in left stick again from almost day one. Some reason I haven’t had drift but I try to not beat the control like a hardy Xbox remote

February 2021 I got a Power A controller but it had a defect where the A button would sink. Now, yesterday I used my Xmas money and allowance to buy an official one again. I bought it for Splatoon 3 pretty much. I plan to take better care of it by not eating around it, and not expose it to dust. Any other tips?
The main problem is that tiny bits of dust and debris can get around the joystick, so you can probably make sure your hands are clean before using, and keeping it in some type of case might help

I mean in gaming they take a beating but they still don’t drift after many years yet every official Nintendo switch remote is crap quality. I paid extended warranty on my switch pro for nothing as the store I did that at are dishonour type when it comes to straight swap over
Hello! I am having issues like this but not this serious, so basically, I got a Pro Controller and it had minor drifting which was annoying so I exchanged for a new one and the same thing is happening! Is there a way I can fix it without unscrewing because I'm afraid I will mess something up.
