This is a beautiful and honest motorcycle, with a perfect drivetrain and design. You don't need more to be happy on the road. I don't understand why Suzuki doesn't rebuild this bike again with this perfect design. I think this bike is beautiful and you are lucky to own it. I wish you an accident-free journey and lots of great experiences.
There isn't a cruiser bike that looks as good in stock form as a Suzuki VS intruder. So much fun to ride and look at on a sunny day with all that chrome. My dream bike for almost 40 years......
This will be my first heavy bike. Can't wait for the season to start! Glad to finally have found some good riding footage without some dude ruining it with blabbering the whole ride. Cheers!
I have been looking at a lot of Intruders on UA-cam and I have to say you have the nicest one I have seen. I like the silver paint job as it goes well with the chrome. The pipes are badassed too. Ride on!
Have a 2001 with stock exhaust, but some owner along the line drilled three 1/2 holes in the back wall inside of each pipe. It sounded rad, but personally I like a quieter ride, so I plugged them back up with bolts. Seems like an easy mod approach and also easily reversible when needed. It was also very hard to tell it was modded (it took me a few weeks to find those holes). Thanks for the video, this bike is at my folks place I ride it when I visit them. It’s a great inexpensive and reliable ride that doesn’t seem to mind sitting.
I totally agree with you! I have it sitting all winter and all I do is plug the battery in again and starts right up every time. I got the bike with the exhaust already like that and it’s my favourite part of the bike. Aftermarket exhausts are very limited for this bike.
That is a bad assed bike you have there. I used to have an 88 750 Intruder, I miss it. Here very soon, I am going to get an 96 800 and can't wait ride once again.
You said the piece that connects the two pipes has been removed. What does that do and how did you do it? I am picking up my Intruder next weekend and I will want to make some pipe modifications too.
+Enigma I bought the bike this way, but what u need to do is find a big enough drill bit and just drill a bigger hole in the muffler. The piece of pipe that joined both pipes together was simply cut out and blocked off with a welder. Btw, have fun with your new bike man!!
@@afterburner2869 That is called a cross-over pipe and it's part of the exhaust tuning. It has to do with balancing the exhaust pulses from each cylinder. Old British twins had them, like BSA, Norton, and Triumph. Also Harley sportsters have them. If you remove the cross-over pipe, you will lose a little bit of power. Unless, you go to a 2 into 1 tuned pipe, which has no cross-over because the collector does that job instead.
Trevor Jameson I waited three years for a reply, but better late than never! Thanks for the information. I still have my Intruder and have put about 20,000 miles on it. I did some minor mods to the muffler but have kept the cross-over pipe. Thanks again for the information.👍🏻
Bro, it literally sounds like a DR 650. That's so awesome! You know what I have one and when I ride it I literally feel like I'm banging through the gears on a DR. 350 only. There's two cylinders and they're 400s. You know what I'm saying. It's just two DR400 in a 45° angle. Essentially it feels like it too. When you ride it, you really can't be Japanese reliability in quality
Yeah, know what you mean! She's had a progressive shock put on to lower it because of that. she let me sit on it too. and I's choose this over an 883 any day!
Do you still have it ? I got one 2003 because price was so good that i had to :) but it feels weak. I am used to stronger bikes so I wanted to compare if thats the way those bikes are or does mine need some adjustments. It will be daily commuter so I am not looking for power just want to make sure its in peak shape. I live in GTA too.
I have one but I need new handlebars. It has the ugly ass bramhorn ones that are bent down. I mean I might as well get a mullet with this f****** thing. I got to get rid of these f****** bars immediately

Yes they should bring them back

Heavy? Those things are like a bit over 400 lbs
@@madblunted lightest bike out there with that displacement size
I agree! The bike is very easy to handle and surprisingly nimble for having a long wheel base.

Enigma thanks man i appreciate it! Ride on!

Dude.. This is epic 😍
Thanks man!
Sweet bike. I have a 97, black, that's piped, no baffles, it's loud af.
i love the sound.

Thanks for sharing👍
No problem 👍
Grwat vid im lookn at one showed me bout wat bike is thanks first vid thats streight fwd
Glad I could help
I think you may be shifting about 1000 RPM to early just seems that it has more to give before it shifts
Hey when you're running through the gears try kicking it into higher gears faster using the thoaty part of the motor instead of wrapping it out
Lmfao I died at the ending 😂😂😂 that was funny
Devin that kid jumped LOL
This looks just like my friend Brenda's bike. She's only 4' 11' and rides the crap out of it! Only hers doesn't have a modded exhaust. Same year, too!
Michael Werbovetz Yeah this bikes great for short riders. Im 6ft and im a little scrunched up. Love the style though!
Yeah, know what you mean! She's had a progressive shock put on to lower it because of that. she let me sit on it too. and I's choose this over an 883 any day!
My first bike had a "modded" exhaust too. Pops took metal rod and hammered it through the muffler. Lol
whatever works! lol
the "H" pipe actually creates more horsepower, its almost like a 2 to 1 exhaust.
Probably would have kept it if it had it when I bought it
Got an 07' white one, with the drag bars.
I’d like to see that
What’s the name of the modded exhaust kit on your bike. I have a 2001 intruder 800 and want to swap out my exhaust on it
It’s still the stock exhaust. Just modified like I said in the video!
@@davidcaira1070 right on brother. I have the same bike and want mine to sound good without any loss of power

Kris K hey man, yeah mine spins the back tire off the line so it’s got some power!
One of the fastest if not the fastest per cc of cruisers
hi, didn’t study the difference between 800 and 1400 before buying?
No, i liked this one too much lol
had both the 800 is much better and faster too
It sounds ok but I reckon vance hines pipes sound better.
maybe one day!
When you did the did you adjust your carbs
not sure to be honest. i got the bike that way.
1:37 i used to live there :D.
Красавчик
How tall you are?
I’m 6ft.
I love the part with the kid jumping lol
rude.
how fast does it feels when you go full throttle? cause in the video it looks pretty fast
jauh25 Its actually pretty fast! Has great low end torque.
god damn that is right, I drove one a couple of weeks ago, that torque is impressive! thanks for you answer!
Meh you said it was kinda quick, the Speedo doesn’t even move bruh!
I have one but I need new handlebars. It has the ugly ass bramhorn ones that are bent down. I mean I might as well get a mullet with this f****** thing. I got to get rid of these f****** bars immediately
Hook up your speedo cable.
One way to keep the bikes overall mileage down ?
The sound is a bit rude for pedestrians imo.
i hope you don't sell that bike... because you'd be cheating the buyer by not fixing your speedometer....
Nice scoot....Don't ride like a punk.
I ride like a total punk all the time I can’t help it! Don’t judge me
it's too loud kid. knock it off.
Haters gonna hate.
+David Caira lmao
+David Caira sick vid to
Your to old fuck off karen
