@@mvzan672 as someone whose dealt with family members who hoard, there is a definite distinction, and it's not the amount of stuff. A collection is a group of things you intentionally acquire. If acquiring your collectible would cause you significant hardship, you wouldn't do it. Your collection is stored well, and both the acquisition of items and existence of the collection do not impede your daily life. A hoard is collected compulsively, every item is emotionally difficult to get rid of, yet it's not stored well, like stacks of stuff on floors, extreme cases like you see on the shows about hoarding result in people filling bathtubs or blocking access to their kitchen with hoarded items. If a collector didn't have the extra money, they wouldn't buy the thing, they could wait until the money was available. A hoard grows even to its owner's detriment.
I would bet big money she's misrepresenting the living situation-it sounds like SHE'S over the relationship because of her new "friend,' but refuses to just move out because she doesn't actually want to pay rent. “I was giving my boyfriend 75% of my paycheck” when she really means 75% of her own paycheck went to her share of rent is telling me everything I need to know about her 😂 😂
Some quick math tells me she was either paying the majority of the rent for some reason or she was paying her 1/2 and not working a full 40 hour week which is probably the case. I'm also willing to wager she thinks "well I make less so I should pay less".
I don't get this attitude. One partner making less than the other is common AF. Why pretend it's not and that it's normal to make broke gfs/bfs pay half?
@@carbonatedPigeondepends on the agreement with your partner. If she expects 50-50 with her traditional responsibilities like chores then I expect 50-50 wity my traditional responsibilities too. If they agreed to pay equal portions of the rent then that should be honoured. She was clearly being taken care of enough that she could afford to start an expensive collection. I say she was taken care of since she claims she was spwnding 75% of her income on rent alone. I doubt the remaining 25% covered all expenses + enough to start a collection alone.

About her housing situation… either she’s on the lease or she’s not. If she’s on the lease then he can’t kick her out. If she’s not on the lease then she has no legal obligation to pay anything. If her boyfriend is the only one on the lease, she should rent a cheap room or stay with a friend to get away from this bad situation.
IMO she's on the lease. They treat each other terribly in equal measure. He thinks they're together, though. She says they're broken up so she can cheat with Mr Internet and not be the bad guy. That's why her family doesn't support her. The family thinks they're both still together and that they're both awful to each other in equal measure. Everyone but her, Mr Internet, and their friend group thinks she is with Mr Roommate still and sees how they behave. Mr Internet and the online gang think she's a victim of poor circumstances because they have never met her or her people. Caleb can smell some BS, but he doesn't always call folks on it unless it's taquito based because he doesn't want them to shut down and ruin the interview or go so far off topic that they don't actually talk finances he has to talk a line between getting a guest to admit their bad habits and getting them to move beyond them.

She's living with her "Ex", jobless for an extended period of time, sitting at home emotionally cheating, sad because she couldn't go out to physically cheat, and she's not homeless because of her boyfriend, but the "Ex" is the problem here?
great analogy with Picasso! Nothing is straightforward when she talks. Lots and lots of games, keeping it vague. Never taking responsibility for her life.
Not to mention how she tried to dodge his question about how much she spent in the month, 6 damn times. Or how she mentioned her family is still talking to him and doing activities with him and treating him like they're still together. Yeah she's lying, she's still dating her boyfriend, she's cheating on her boyfriend, and her social circle is online only because she burned all her other bridges. She's probably on the lease as a tennant, she's using him for a free place to live while she spends more than double her income. Maybe this is your sign to be single and worry about only yourself for a while. Honestly if you are allowing someone to cover your housing with no responsibilities, you are signing up for some sort of financial control. I've met this template of a person before and they are absolutely EXHAUSTING to have in your life. At first, they seem really cool (masking true personality to get you close to them), then little things come up here and there where they tell you about bad things that happened to them. At this point, you feel so sorry for them and put a lot of emotional energy into supporting them through rough times. Over time, they keep losing 'toxic' jobs, losing 'toxic' friends, and losing 'toxic'boyfriends. It seems like there's a new catastrophe every day, and best believe it will never be their fault. If you dare to put up boundaries, they will guilt you into believing you're a bad friend. By the way, by this point their personality has done a complete 180 from when you first met them. Don't even think about bringing up your own issues, not only will they not care, they'll use it as an opportunity to tell you about the new Bad Thing that happened to them, and why it's sooo much worse than what you're going through. By this point, you're completely burnt out dealing with their constant Catastrophes' and having to do daily motivational speeches that you realise how toxic they are, and remove yourself from their lives. Then, they find their next friend/victim, put on the fake sparkly happy personality and tell the new friend how toxic you are and how much trauma you caused them. New friend falls into their trap, and the cycle repeats, and repeats, and repeats. They will never change, they will never self-reflect on their actions, and they will always be the victim.
My sister suffers from schizo-affective disorder. She sounds exactly what you describe. Could be symptoms of her disease.

She doesn’t put out and bro is gummed up. You can just tell.

Yeah and I love it lol gives me a mix of drama and learning about finances!
Starting to think Caleb is less interested in actually helping these desperate idiots and more about getting clickee clickee so HE can buy sweat treats.

who the fuck opens a safe and leaves?!
This genius apparently. I'm not surprised given her demeanor. Zero situational awareness
Ikr. You don't leave until that safe closes... 5 mins for her coworker to rebalance the till and she couldn't wait?
Safe's have timers of X minutes - even if she "forgot", it's locked. If the fellow employee doesn't know the code, GG. They have to reopen the safe, then lock it.
My first job during uni was a fast food job and we had one rule, "Don't open the safe until it's closing time or when it's slow. Immediately close the safe and re-open it for every additional use."
I remember the password very fast lol. They changed the password every week as well, so it would prevent "random robberies".
That's just *one* part of her story that doesn't add up.🤔
The “brains” of the heist lmao
I'm in the UK so things are a bit different but watching your content has made me really scrutinise our family spending. We've budgeted, this is the first month actually, and we're hopeful to get our saving sorted out. No debts or credit cards, paying our bills etc just overspending so no emergency fund and running out by the end of the month. Here's hoping we can do it 💪

Foot and ankle injuries can be debilitating in obese people. 3 months of rehab isn't too surprising

Since I started watching this show a few months ago I have paid down HALF of my bad debt. I am set to have two major debts paid off in February. I have also improved my diet and decreased my grocery bill. I haven't used doordash in who knows how many months and I have decided to fully delete the app off my phone today. I would love to be on the show just to get the classes for free but i dont think I could handle being yelled at. I would cry. Keep up the good work!
This is very impressive! You should be proud. Keep going 👍🏽
If they fired you for complaining it was probably the last straw.
AND...it wasn't even the first time she had been fired from a job.
That’s not why they fired her lol she’s a terrible liar. If you work at more than one place that fires you for ‘doing nothing wrong’ you’re definitely doing something wrong

Absolutely 0% chance that she wasn't involved with that gamestop robbery if it actually happened.
Maybe it helped fund her funko addiction.
Right! I worked for a check cashing business that had several situations like that happen. The employees were always involved in some way.
Yup. All that cheesing and giggling was crazy.
More idiots admitting to crimes on camera.🙄

Aint no way she's got no stable income and she has doordash premium and so many pay in 4 payments. Gutter finances
I'm so glad unemployment was going towards her fast food addiction and fortnite skins.
"Its my ex boyfriends fault" is so infuriating. So many guests have this excuse. Its insane. ZERO accountability.
She made it sound like her ex was a mooch taking 75% of her money (probably for doordash and internet shopping) when in reality her 50% of the rent was 75% of her income. That's100% a her problem and not on the ex. After the 2 bogus "why I got fired and neither were my fault" stories, it was a quick reveal that her money issues were 100% on her. Then she had the ovaries to fess up to blowing $3k on bobblehead dolls. But sure. Everything is on her ex. I ki da wonder if $3k was what went missing at GameStop (for the funko)?
Men only want one thing..
In the US you let women get away with blaming a man. For some reason it works. It wouldnt work in most other places, even here inside the west.
This women is reveling in the “negative” things happening in her life. She is smiling and laughing when desciribing her power dynamic. She hasn’t left the guy because she likes that she can go around and tell people she’s a victim. Endemic of the issues we are facing as a country especially with self victimization. She’s the victim of every situation she’s ever been in
She’s the winner in this power dynamic here, he’s paying the bills and negotiating spending time with her all while making empty threats to kick her out.

So she worked Black Friday all by herself, but there was a coworker there with her? I smell bs.
no she was saying she left early cuz she was tired from the previous day that was black friday and worked alone. The day they got robbed was another day.
Ohhh ok. I still don't believe she worked a Black Friday by herself, but that makes the lie more believable.
@@Amero2323 I've never worked at GameStop but I don't think they keep many employees hired on at once. I did work at a small retail store that only kept 3-4 employees max including the general manager, the pay was so low it was hard to even get (or keep) 3-4 employees. I remember for black Friday there were maybe 30-60 mins someone was on the floor alone just due to other employees having to take lunch. MAYBE she was on the floor alone for a little because that's how the schedule worked out but yeah I really don't think she was alone for the whole day on a black Friday.
@@katie6632that's possible, but in my experience, companies just scheduled extra people on black friday so in that case all 4 would work that day. 🤷
@@katie6632 every employee is scheduled to work black friday at gamestop...so many people would have had to call off and the general managers would have had to fail to assign replacements. The odds don't favor it.
Even if she wasn't involved in the robbery (which she almost certainly was) she should be fired for how poorly she handled the safe and company money
3-4K on a funko collection is absolutely insane!! To those who don't know what funko pops are, unless your getting something extremely rare, they literally should cost no more than $15-$20 bucks a piece. And i'm from Canada, so with the exchange rate, it should be lower in the US. How tf did she end up spending thousands on funko pops of all things in that short a period?!
Obviously she shouldn't have been buying any figurines, but Funkos are like the ugliest, most soulless figurines out there. It feels like they were invented solely to take money from people with collector-brain.
@@AbruptAvalanche lol they do have a very particular look to them. I have a couple, and i get them because I simply am not dedicated enough to blow a lot of money on a nice figurine of a show i like. They are financially a low commitment which is why i'm shocked she spent so much on literally some of the cheapest stuff out there.
Keep in mind she describes her mother as a hoarder, and a lot of hoarders describe themselves as collectors, so the apple might not have fallen far from the tree on that one
I don't even understand the appeal of collecting funco pops, you can get much better figures of most franchises for similar prices, Figures that have moving parts and accessories, and a LOT more detail.

Financial abuse is incredibly real, there is no doubt. But it really sounds like she’s financially taking advantage of the person she’s living with. 4 years of no rent is a massive leg up he gave her, her choosing to stay broke with very little expenses is not his fault.
The tough love was SO necessary in this episode. I feel like so many people lack people that are willing to be unbiasedly honest
For sure there is a huge connection between messy personal lives and messy financial lives… I feel like there is something deep rooted in a need for love and acceptance and this persons giving everything financially. Maybe pouring that into herself might fix things on all fronts?

The title has me hooked. This is the drama I need to start my week.
She likes to play the victim or has an excuse when she does something wrong, theres more to the stories shes telling
This sounds like a "I have all this bad luck happening to me..." but she's making bad choices and just doesn't want to face the responsibility that she caused this to herself. 🤨
"Mayyyybe cut out the starbucks?" - what a joke! This ladychild is never getting out of debt with this mindset.
I'm only 10 minutes in and to hear she spent 3k-4k on a funko pop collection is absolutely insane!

As a former shift manager at a vintage stock, if we left the safe open for longer than 2 minutes cops are called no questions asked. Leaving it open and then leaving is grossly negligent, but also points to fraud/theft/scamming on her end for sure. I’d press charges against her if I were GameStop but that’s just me.

@francetoronto Right. Worrying that society is in the position where someone with such poor life choices is teaching children.
Mentioning the weight was kinda low.
@HangLowKing why? It's a visible indication of loss of control in someone's life or lack of self-respect. I think obesity says a lot and shouldn't be normalised.
Of course, there are some fringe health related cases but they are a tiny minority. Even then proper diet manages weight gain (speaking as someone who had a major hormone issue a few years back).
