When I was 16 years old I had this song on vinyl. I'm thinking it must have been an EP with only a couple songs on it. I had completely forgot about this song after moving on to cassettes, cds, and streaming. Then the other night I heard Russ's song In The Night in a movie or tv show and my brain instantly said "that sounds like Russ Ballard!". So I used Shazam and discovered it was Russ Ballard. The memories all came flooding back from my teenage years almost 40 years ago. What a blast from the past! Glad this song holds up after all these years.

Simon Phillips is brilliant on this track. I remember listening to it when the cut came out in 1984. It was amazing then, and has lost zero of that brilliance today. If you play drums, you know exactly what I mean. By the way, Simon never plays the same thing twice in any single 2-measure verse, bridge or chorus. And he does it so subtly....

1985, back when we would cut our own cassette tapes, you have to be my age know what those are. I would pick up my girlfriend in my 74 Chevy blazer, the backseats were removed. This was the first song on my cassette tape. What wonderful memories.
