I've thrown out the idea of a Knocked Loose show to my boyfriend maybe 3 times now, and all 3 times he's replied with something along the lines of "Do we really want to PAY to get our asses kicked for an entire concert?". All while being visibly pumped at the idea of seeing KL live 🤣 And I can't hear the line in Pass the Nirvana by PTV (if you didn't come home injured would you say it was a good show?) without immediately thinking of KL lol
Did you see that midnight hour performance? I straight thought someone was going to be crushed to death during counting worms😂 security is like 'Bryan why!'
Next one you gotta do from them is Deep in the Willow/Everything is Quiet Now video. Knocked Loose is just awesome and this new album is gonna be a banger! Can’t wait for it!
Lots hate Bryan Garris' voice until they love it, and then Knocked Loose really comes into their own for them. Very few bands can build up and breakdown so damn well and so consistently.
Yeah that's why I don't listen to them, I just can't with the voice. Much respect tho, I've seen them live twice because wanted to experience some Loose chaos @ wwwy & Sonic Temple.
Knocked Loose is a different breed, and that is what makes them special for me and a lot of others! The vocals mixed with the instruments is just immaculate
Bryans vocal may be odd but as someone who has listened to metal for probably 30yrs it's kinda refreshing to be different. Not just the same monotone growls all the time. I embrace the seagull and love it.
Hey Teddy, Knocked Loose blowing up like that is actually a well appreciated miracle for me. They release really niche and for many metal fans unpopular music. First of all they leave the Metal genre entirely. The genre is called Hardcore that derives from Punk and is way less Popular than most Metal genres. Their vocal style isn't actually uncommon in Hardcore but definitly on the rarer side. And finally musically I would put them in Beatdown, a subgenre within Hardcore, which is also quiet unpopular even amoung Hardcore fans. Recommendations for high pitched vocals in Hardcore: - Dragged Under - Instability - COMEBACK KID - Heavy Steps / Wake The Dead - Raised Fist - Friends And Traitors - Opposition Of One - Nothing Left To Say (listen on spotify for sound quality) - Descend To Rise - What A Picture Meant To Me (listen on spotify for sound quality) Recommendations for Beatdown: - Bodysnatcher - MURDER8 - NASTY - Reality Check - RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR - Here Comes The Boom Have fun with Slaughterhouse, its a banger for sure. I'm really enjoying your journey in heavy music. Keep it up and have a beautiful day.
You should give their 2-parter music video "Deep in the Willow / Everything is Quiet Now" a listen, they're absolute BANGERS and what got me into Knocked Loose
you have the exact same reaction I had when I first heard Knocked Loose about a month ago. Couldn't really describe why I liked it as its so much heavier than what I'm used to. But I was immediately hooked, and your reaction/explanation summed it up perfectly because it's how I felt. It's not your typical structure, his voice as well as having multiple people who can scream/growl in a band, the riffs, drumming..so refreshing! but yeah, you got a follow from me!
Bryan’s voice is very unique, and a lot of people have a hard time getting used to it because we metalheads are so used to unpitched vocals, or lower hardcore yelling, but I love it, it conveys such a manic anger. Edit: Also, the guy doing the lows is the guitarist and main riff-writer, Isaac Hale
Discovering your videos for the first time today and having a ball. I find it fascinating - as someone who followed the same path but just 20 years ago - that the pipeline from rap to hardcore/deathcore etc is a really really easy one to slide down and you get it. you get it! if you havent already, I hope you get to see KL live, I see you going for it, you'll love it even more. start practicing your spin kicks for the pit 😂
I wasn't a big fan of these guys until I seen them live at Apocalypse fest last year. You knew they were something special when all the Aussie bands came out to watch their set with the crowd. Forever a fan now!
I went to the auto parts store the other day and I was wearing in knocked loose T-shirt and some guy maybe in his late 40s early 50s was like hey I love that band. I was just listening to them on the way into work and I was like no fucking way, dude! That’s awesome
KL doesn’t ever miss just straight BANGERS only other bands that I think are even close bc KL is the most popular hardcore band now after playing Coachella and Bonaroo but Dying wish and Kublai Khan but kublai holy shit man’s voice is iconic Matt Honeycutt
knocked loose being the Prince of modern metal I think is a fair observation, especially with how they rose to the heights they have in their industry. prodigies
Totally should. I could treasure him with me to NYC in May to see slaughter to prevail I got tix... but he would have to do his research see if he likes them, I think he would
New to you Teddy, but loving the reactions!.... Every Time I Die "The Coin Has A Say" recommendation. But take your pick with them, they're fun. Not around anymore but they had a great long run. Good representation of that kinda show.
Is funny to watch someone so blind to the other music that they are pleased with these vocals. Is like enjoying kids play a sport when there are hundreds of competitive games to watch and discover. Thats really nice order because you learn to enjoy even songs that would be 1000% better with actual vocals or just instrumentais.
yes and no 9:00 a musical breakdown strips back elements of the piece that were previously introduced to the music (think of classical music or jazz) but a metal breakdown is more like the climax of the song, for example this song it's the "I NEVER GAVE A F*CK" part, think of it like a bass drop or something if that helps (edm is literally just metal for p*****s)
"and ain't nothin about Knocked Loose mid" - this could not be more true 😂 I have some songs I think you'd like! These are some of my faves, and I'd love to see you react to any (or all) of them! Death, Rainfall, Creature by LANDMVRKS Cellar Door, Holy Roller, Circle With Me by Spiritbox Snowblood, Divisionary, Eye of God by Erra
I’ll be honest I’d never listened to this band but I’m going to now! They kinda remind me of Architects, not the nicest sounding screams but the energy that comes with it is undeniable! Gravedigger and Naysayer are just listens!🤘🏼
If people don't like Bryan's voice, I can understand it. For me, its different and perfect for the music they're making. Wouldn't change a thing about them. They keep evolving without losing their identity.
If you like his style of vocal tone that means you like hardcore. And if you like hardcore that means you must listen to Thrown because they are making Hardcore great again. My favorite singer in this style is Dennis of Refused. Listen to „New Noise“ for example. the Music is not as heavy (it’s a25 years old hardcore-Punk classic) but you will instantly recognize the typical vocal style
You gotta check out the band Boundaries. Specifically the songs Scars on a Soul and Get Out. They have a very angry sound as well and kind of fall into a similar category of hardcore/metalcore as Knocked Loose
02:35 you already know the vibe. Love it. 😂 Keep doing this. reactions are good as hell. Cheers bro. (Maybe you let me know your opinion on the streets. Love the early stuff personally. Mike Skinner bla bla...) Love Your reaction to the heavy stuff. Much love from Germany
some suggestions: Wage war - The river Kublai khan Tx - Theory of mind Alpha Wolf - Akudama Paleface swiss/Landmvrks - Dead mans diary Tallah - Red light / Tallah - Dicker's done Brand of sacrifice - Dynasty
Deadringer by these guys fuckin slaps. Kublai khan tx - Resentment makes me feel like i could swing on Superman and win. Hardcore has been such an underappreciated style for so long, im glad it's gaining more traction
I subbed after seeing your previous Knocked Loose reaction! It seems that you you my friend, are becoming a breakdown addict! 🤘keep it up with the awesome metal and hardcore reactions! There's so much cool shit to discover!
Man, it makes me so happy to see people getting into metal via Knocked Loose. They're an ideal gateway drug. Next you move up to Emmure, and soon enough you're banging to the real vicious shit like Orphan or Disfiguring The Goddess. For real, Mount of Olives by Orphan if you really want your socks knocked off.
We need some Black Veil Brides, Ice Nine Kills and Motionless in White! I hope I can see them on UA-cam😭 I love Knocked Loose, but mans will always sound like SpongeBob yelling😂🤘🏻
Knocked Loose being your first concert would be the best and worst thing OMG
Hardcore concerts are not for the weak
I've thrown out the idea of a Knocked Loose show to my boyfriend maybe 3 times now, and all 3 times he's replied with something along the lines of "Do we really want to PAY to get our asses kicked for an entire concert?". All while being visibly pumped at the idea of seeing KL live 🤣
And I can't hear the line in Pass the Nirvana by PTV (if you didn't come home injured would you say it was a good show?) without immediately thinking of KL lol
No kidding, if he's gonna see the loose, he needs to prepared to face the noose. Or.. he could stand way in the back 👀
KL pits are becoming weak these days. Although I think it's happening more and more for various reasons outside of most bands control.
Did you see that midnight hour performance? I straight thought someone was going to be crushed to death during counting worms😂 security is like 'Bryan why!'
Guys Teddy is IN IT now
Mmmhm metal head
it has happened.

@@richburnsred Yep he totally has to! Oh Teddy will love those songs! The videos for them are just a *chef’s kiss*

Lots hate Bryan Garris' voice until they love it, and then Knocked Loose really comes into their own for them. Very few bands can build up and breakdown so damn well and so consistently.
That was me. Used to hate it. Now I fucking love them. Just took time.
9:33 that's more of a bridge than breakdown in knocked loose terms
his voice was the first thing that got me interested in them
Hopefully that happens to me soon as love their music but his voice makes me want to rip my ears off 😂
Yeah that's why I don't listen to them, I just can't with the voice. Much respect tho, I've seen them live twice because wanted to experience some Loose chaos @ wwwy & Sonic Temple.
Knocked Loose - Everything is quite now. You will love it.
& gotta add Deep In The Willow in there 💯💯
Knocked Loose is a different breed, and that is what makes them special for me and a lot of others! The vocals mixed with the instruments is just immaculate
I'd highly recommend Thrown - On the verge, there's a reason they have a million monthly listeners on spotify.
I can't second this enough, Thrown is fantastic
@@anthonybenvenuti4557while only having 8 songs in their discography 😂
A new song drops in the next week I think.
I can’t escape this band. Whoever they paid to promote their band deserves a raise lol
is a mixture of the members being in other bands that are pretty well known@@Sailor1010

You definitely a metal head bro, and we proud of you for remembering the balls. 🤜🤛
You got to listen to the band boundaries. If you like knocked loose their song “easily erased”is right up your alley
+1 for this. The new Boundaries album is up there in terms of anger as well as the new Alpha Wolf.
Knocked loose - a tear in the fabric of life

the “you won’t go before you’re supposed to” is the name of their next album (releasing may 10th)
I didn’t know it was the 10th 😮😮😮😮
One of the best metal tracks of the past 20 years, no joke.
that bass "riff/solo" was needed and enjoyed
Definitely! Yes it's a breakdown Teddy haha so cute
You should give their 2-parter music video "Deep in the Willow / Everything is Quiet Now" a listen, they're absolute BANGERS and what got me into Knocked Loose
counting worms is a banger. my favorite is "all my friends" its pretty harsh btw
Your Bryan Garris impression is on point. Love seeing people listen to different music an appreciate it
"this guy can summon demons, on a carhartt fits" is wild
I can confirm that the pit for this band is crazy 😂 I almost got knocked out by a guy in a chicken costume lol

Counting worms will be his shortest video ever😂

Malevolence - Keep Your Distance (ft. Bryan - Knocked Loose)

I´m not a huge knocked loose fan, but they hit a nostalgic sweet spot for me, from all the hardcore I used to listen to as a kid.
welcome to my family :)
And brev. If you like knocked loose you're a metal head lol
You are half right, the son of god was the guitarist, but the final part of that was the lead.
It's a three vocalist call out, fucking epic
Next should be A Tear in the Fabric of Life, the whole EP and video that goes along with it
Day 78 of requesting Lorna Shore's "...And I Return to Nothingness" EP. It's not _that_ heavy.
Mistakes like fractures is probably my favorite. it's illegally heavy
