A lot of people don’t realize he made this song when was 16, it’s great to see him play this song as he got older as it’s adds more depth to the song; gets better with time!

WOW 🌟 - I had never heard of Jonny Lang before today. It was by sheer accident in hitting ‘play’ on this video. IMO he’s a 👍 🎸 + 🎤ist, and will now look into more of his music! I’m almost 70, and thought I had heard just about ALL the great, talented guitarists, both living and deceased. I was wrong, and really enjoyed watching and hearing him - 👏!
He played every note with every cell in his body...that's what you call leaving it all out there...the spattering of applause after emotion like that is unbelievable
emotion does not necessarily translate to quality. having seen a different video of this from yeas ago, this was subpar.
Undeniable talent from a singer with an old soul. He a actually feels the music , It's in his veins that's for sure. Pure talent. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is definitely my favorite of all of his songs. It’s so raw, expresses such pain. It just amazes me that he wrote this song when he was 15 and recorded it when he was 16. Not what you would expect from a middle class white boy from North Dakota.
Whereas this was his biggest hit, Johnny has a lot of Music out there, And it’s worth checking out his other albums. He is now 43 years old. Last I heard he is having vocal cord problems, and may never sing again.

Finally saw Jonny about 3-4 years ago. Was the backup band touring with Buddy Guy. Remember when he was 15 blowing up the scene. Amazing talent that got in a little over his head. It happens, especially when you are that young and everyone wants a piece of you. He lived to tell the tale and still puts on a great show and will blow you away. If you get a chance, don't miss it!
The old soul with blues in his blood. Saw him live back in the late '90s and he just ages like a fine wine! He puts so much passion into his music!
He’s aging well because he started so young! He is barely 40 years old now. He was just a 15 year old kid when he recorded this song. Insane isn’t it?

Take a listen to 'Matchbox' just as cool. Like you I've only just got into him. Heard him on a country station of all things and he stopped me in my tracks. Matchbox has a 50s feel about it.

Jesus...I was living in Fargo back when he was playing in the local bars as Kid Jonny Lang and the Big Bang...and I never bothered to go see him. I remember thinking "how good can a 14 year old kid from NoDak be at playing and singing the blues?" With the exception of devoting 50 some years to watching the damned Vikings, I've never been so wrong in my life. He's right up there with Peggy Lee, as far as incredible NoDak talent goes.

Jonny is having medical issues. He had to cancel all of 2021 to recover, if he does recover. They're worried his voice may be permanently damaged.

Met Jonny after a concert in Toronto. I gave him a hug. That moment is a precious memory.
I remember hearing this AMAZING VOICE on the radio back in '97. I immediately went to buy Jonny Lang's CD. All his songs are so AWESOME!! Does anyone know that he was 16yrs old when he went into the mainstream?
Saw him in Portland back in 2005 and honestly forgot how great he was since I hadn't heard anything in many years. It's 2021 so it's been years now. He was incredible and I'm so thrilled to hear him again by accident.
