For all the people below putting Jonny down because he's filled out/grown up or his wild stage show changed....there's a good reason...he's not on drugs anymore. He has a family now and turned his life around. He still has one of the most powerful, unique voices in the biz. He still has it AND he is happy.

When he first started in the business he was in Minnesota at a Walker music fest. I was standing right up front. He started singing and my mouth dropped open! I'm telling you he was wonderful and his voice was unexpected with the blues! Amazing!

Jonny Lang is absolutely amazing! Very talented and a beautiful voice. One of the greatest guitar player.
I went to one of his shows about a month ago. He hasn't lost anything. He had the crowd standing the whole time and the entire show was amazing from first song to encore. I've honesty never seen any musician perform like he did.

say. I had no idea that his voice was as good as it gets... and of course his guitar
playing is probably the best ever... and the fact that he put on an
amazing show for 350 old farts, he gave 100% and blew me away. Kinda sad
I missed the meet and greet as i actually hung out with his Dad a
couple times in MN (Jonny had a house on Lake Minnetonka next to one of
my good friends). As a musician myself I can say, if you check out some
of his youtube stuff that is even a year or 2 old... he has gotten EVEN
BETTER!!!!

Saw him last night. Awesome. If our pleasure is to revel in someone else's pain and torture because it makes for what we call better music, then shame on us. Red Light was part gospel, part catharsis and still part blues. I found joy in his blues last night and that is alright by me. And he STILL tore it up! Thank you JL

Saw him first at a huge blues festival in Memphis on the shore of the Mississippi. He was 17. I figured he was
from another planet because no human could have had enough living to sound like that at 17. He's still rockin'

I have seen the man 7 times (and will see him next month for number 8) and he just gets better and better. The last time I saw him was at the New Orleans Jazz Fest in the Blues Tent. It was set up next to one of the main stages, where Maroon 5 was playing at the time. Adam Levine actually stopped his show momentarily because Jonny was blowing it out! It was a religious experience to say the least. Two straight hours of just pure, gritty, in your face blues. Outstanding.

20 yrs ago I left for KENTUCKY.. They never heard of Jonny Lang.. My heart had to introduce them to his great voice.

funny thing, i feel compelled to voice a opinion, im a musician, 39 years professional, what takes the joy out from music and turns it to work, is being competitive, making it work and not the talent the lord gives all of us n one way or another, Good for him he found the reason for being who he is, i personally like the beef he has in his voice and the meat in his guitar playing, praise the Lord!!
