My wife and I saw 18 year old Jonny Lang with Beth Hart opening at the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham, Alabama 25 years ago in January of 2000. Wow what a night of great music in a great historical venue.❤ The Alabama theater was built in 1927 and is truly a historical masterpiece.

@spongebobsquaretits I have heard of him actually. However, another underrated artist where I'm from. Well, Mr. SBST, I just have to admit I'm living in the wrong state. I hope to do something about that sooner rather than later. 😉 Thank you for the reminder of another gem artist. It's been a minute with my broad taste in music.
I'm now almost 79 years old and still listen to this every once in a while. I saw him in concert in Boise, Idaho about 20 years ago and he blew me away. A true talent. They say you have to live it before you can sing the blues, but he proved them wrong.
I agree...it's like he's got an old soul inside a young body. I do believe in reincarnation, so... I have seen him in concert and he's just as amazing!!
Hearing this back when for the first time, I was expecting to see an older, grizzled white blues singer with the more typical good-looking black female black back-up singers. The video presents a well-packaged demographically reverse engineered commercial product, but I can't complain about what I'm hearing. A hot groove.
Jonny opened for The Rolling Stones @ 19yrs young. First time I saw them, both of them were great!! Couldn’t believe how young he was, a massive talent!! 💗
all these years later, and I STILL have a hard time believing that this voice and this sound came from a young 14-15 year old boy! SUCH AN AMAZING SOUND! gives me chills.
I remember seeing him play his HS Homecoming game 1/2 time show back in the day. Too bad he 'changed' and is now 'lost' the the BB King status he once had.
He is great, how csn someone as young as him have some much feeling and sound .its a gift and he has it .ive seen him about 3times .i love him .so good.
I got to back stage with Jonny on his 21st birthday in St Louis at the Pagent and he was so humble and honest with all of us there and I'll never forget it. He is a class act and a great guitar player and singer! You rocked it my man. Thanks for letting me enjoy the moment with you my man!! You are the greatest Jonny!
Wow. You rocked your world that night. WTG GIRL !! ONCE IT STARTS ..IT DON'T STOP...I MET A FAMOUS PERSON AND WAS HOOKED...SO, I MET ABOUT 50 FAMOUS PEOPLE..
He came out of the womb with the blues! I've seen him twice in concert, and he was fantastic. The fact that he's toured with people like B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Aerosmith and the Stones when he was still a teenager tells you everything you need to know about him.
Still great after all these years. Imagine being 17 years old, playing an unbelievable set, and the whisky bar owner saying, "Great set. Still can't serve you for 4 years!"
He played a saxophone solo for his 7th grade band concert. It blew everyone away. Everybody was like....what just happened? I know because I was also in that band. Hahahah
Just discovered this young man a couple of months ago and now have all his cds and am a forever fan. Damn! There is still hope for new generations!!! This guy has it going on for sure!!
He sounds like Joe Cocker. Once Boloxi, I heard my name called over the mic and this voice says I'm gonna do this song for my girlfriend Jackie... When I could finally see who it was, it was my boyfriend. With the mic and while he sang sounded just like Joe Cocker !! Oh BTW he sang::: "you are so beautiful"
He is the best. Saw him in Chicago at House of blues and all I can say is he's the most intense musician I have seen in a long time. Takes charge of the band takes charge of the beat plays the fields and plays and sings with passion that you cannot describe.
I’ll confess I’m 46 now I had a major crush on him when this song came out.

I so agree... and his guitar playing gift ~ f'n amaaazing. Sing it Jonny!!!
i know he looks like a teenager but his soul is older with music
not casually BB King at the time was impressed and Lang was in several time - side band - next to him...even was next to Aerosmith
Still listening in 2024, so are my neighbors ❤
Thankyou on behalf of your neighbors 😊
Yesssss❤
Still listening ❤
Love it!!!
Lol, right?!
Hearing this back when for the first time, I was expecting to see an older, grizzled white blues singer with the more typical good-looking black female black back-up singers. The video presents a well-packaged demographically reverse engineered commercial product, but I can't complain about what I'm hearing. A hot groove.
I love you Johnny L I'm in survival mode and your helping me lose it 💪🙏❤
Doing better...
Jonny opened for The Rolling Stones @ 19yrs young. First time I saw them, both of them were great!! Couldn’t believe how young he was, a massive talent!!
💗
2024 and still listening!

@@1969flowerchild Straight up!
all these years later, and I STILL have a hard time believing that this voice and this sound came from a young 14-15 year old boy! SUCH AN AMAZING SOUND! gives me chills.
I remember seeing him play his HS Homecoming game 1/2 time show back in the day. Too bad he 'changed' and is now 'lost' the the BB King status he once had.
soupboy54, I heard he was 12 when he started guitar, 16 making this record?
OMG i agree...i was SHOCKED !!!! I still have the CD and listen to it regularly
He is great, how csn someone as young as him have some much feeling and sound .its a gift and he has it .ive seen him about 3times .i love him .so good.
Isn't he a Fargo/West Fargo native?
Jackie Janise so what you’re saying is you’re a groupie hooked on famous people..ok as a hobby..but gets old..no..not jealous..just old...🇨🇦🇨🇦
I got to meet ted nugent and play pac-man with him when he recorded his albumn at pasha studios where I worked. I think it was 1982.
Wow that's incredible good for you
Wow that's incredible good for you
Pure Soul.❤❤
He came out of the womb with the blues! I've seen him twice in concert, and he was fantastic. The fact that he's toured with people like B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Aerosmith and the Stones when he was still a teenager tells you everything you need to know about him.
Still great after all these years. Imagine being 17 years old, playing an unbelievable set, and the whisky bar owner saying, "Great set. Still can't serve you for 4 years!"
Lol as somebody who played gigs at bars at 15 let me tell ya, there’s plenty of bar owners who “forget” to ask 😂
And, what do you think the guitar shop owner said afterwards...'He, kid, would you like to come in and give some lessons, in fact I could use one"!
Still fabulous after these years gone by.
Coaxing those sounds out of a telecaster ! Remarkable .
He played a saxophone solo for his 7th grade band concert. It blew everyone away. Everybody was like....what just happened? I know because I was also in that band. Hahahah
Woah
Im not jealous...not at all🥲
Wow that's a cool story congrats
wow.
Ha ha ha...
Johnny composed this song at 15??? Incredible!!
Epic classic 16 year old lang
Jonny Lang Brilliant genius
Still listening in 2024. Good music never gets old! 🎸🥁🎹🎤🎵🎶🎧
Just discovered this young man a couple of months ago and now have all his cds and am a forever fan. Damn! There is still hope for new generations!!! This guy has it going on for sure!!
I loved this song when it came out many years ago. WHAT a voice. Man oh man.
Feel it in my soul. What a voice
I AAGREE i gave thumbs down for 23rd frame subliminal satanic message and law of reversal satanic numerology and like
Sounds like Stevie Ray’s Son 💕
Mr. Lang always toured with the best backup bands during his early career.
He absolutely has it! The best young blues singer and picker ive heard in many yrs😮

16 yr. old Jonny Lang!!! What a amazing voice!!!! Love this song!!!
He is the best. Saw him in Chicago at House of blues and all I can say is he's the most intense musician I have seen in a long time. Takes charge of the band takes charge of the beat plays the fields and plays and sings with passion that you cannot describe.
Would love to see him live. Does he your?
Best Live Performance/ Artist in a live performance.
