Jonny Lang was the original John Mayer. I miss him but I hope he’s living his best life. If ever he’s ready to come back out, I’m buying tickets.

I got to see him perform in NY at a small venue. He was amazing. Prayers for healing and even if he doesn't return to touring, he still is an amazing musician and will always have a place in blues history.

LOVE Jonny Lang! I was lucky enough to see him live twice! Praying for a full recovery, as the world is better with Jonny making music! For now, I would love to see other players invite Jonny to guest on songs, guitar wise at least! He is a gift from God!

As a fan, I would want him to heal completely. I would never want him to cause permanent damage to his vocal chords. I wouldn't want to hear him doing AI...I would welcome an instrumental because he's an amazing guitarist. All in all, whatever is best for him is what I would want for him. I'm sure it's hard on him not to be able to do what he wants to do but sometimes we don't get to make those choices when parts of our body just don't co-operate or heal. He's made his place in history forever...it will never go away. I will be praying for him.

From the beginning, Jonny put his all into every bit of his music and we all had to wonder how long would he be able to sing like that? There are limits and he shouldn't be expected to keep doing what he did decades ago. Whatever he decides to do he'll do it with integrity, I have no doubt. He's a great guitar player so he'll always have that. Like other singers who damaged their vocal cords over time, he may adapt to another kind of singing which may lead to an entirely different kind of expression. Though not a perfect comparison, Robert Plant was unable to sing as his former self but went on to explore all kinds of music. He sings now in his natural voice which entirely suits him. When Jonny decides what to do, we'll all find out.

I was in high school talking my first guitar class when Jonny Lang came out. He's been one of my favorite blues guys since. He's a damn good dude too in person. So much passion in his playing/singing. It would be nice to at least seem him out playing on a stage. It's worrisome that he's been very quiet the past few years without a word.

I will support him with whatever he chooses. Although I am not a fan of the whole AI idea. I never actually physically met him, but i did see him in a free 4th of July outdoor concert at a park in Iowa City, Iowa. At that time, he was nobody. But let me tell u, the whole dang park was in awe when he took stage! Young ladies were storming the stage because he was a cutie. He was young. He is so talented in all that he does. I wish nothing but the best for him. Good luck Johnny!

I've seen him twice and had tickets to meet him in Dec. 2019. He has been my favorite artist since i was 15, 24 years. I hope he recovers but I think if he come back and couldn't sing, he should put out an instrumental cd. Most of his fans love the voice and guitar and I think would be happy to even hear him play. He puts on an amazing show.

Have been going to see Jonny perform since he was 16. My 13 y/o daughter joined me. We continued going to his show every time he came to DC or Fla. we met Jonny and he is such a kind and humble young man. When my daughter was in Med School in Baltimore Jonny’s singing and guitar playing helped her with stress. He came another year after she was married with a baby and her clinical rotation prevented her from going to show with me. Jonny made a video with me saying Happy Birthday Maxine. We miss you
I have been heartbroken knowing Jonny has been suffering with his beautiful soulful voice. I’ miss seeing him all through these years of COVID and negative energy in our country.
Jonny coming back in any way he chooses I will support. I feel like his surrogate mom.

I love his Voice but what I treasure more is Him Playing and making that guitar Come Alive with SOUL. He needs to do what is Best for him and his Family. I miss my other Darlin Jeff Healey - these two young men got me through some tough times listening and feeling their music. Can't ever forget SRV. We have been Blessed Folks to live in times these gifted Guitar Players were giving us their Best.

I'd rather see him embrace his situation and continue like John Prine did to see how awesome his music could be with the voice God gave him. Who knows, could be a next level of Johnny Lang we haven't seen yet.
I lost most of my ability to play guitar anymore as a guitarist due to a spine injury, still perform when asked and do the best I can. Not as good as I was once, but still good enough to make it happen. Hopeful he is too.

Who would dare want for themselves over someone’s well being and health? To be that selfish to need so satisfied? I hope the best for Johnny Lang as he indeed is a prodigy. May the forces that made him come together again and again surprise us all. It seems to be “His” thing. Let it be, and it will be.

Jonny Lang has (had) a voice that could lead a blues band even if he couldn't play a lick. He has a guitar voice that can star in a band if he doesn't sing a lick. He could find himself a singer and be the guitarist. Robin Trower model.
