But did you not see how much tlc that brush needed!?!! All she's doing is letting it sit in liquid.. How is the amount of time she spent doing that really that serious🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
For anyone who paints on canvases, This works on those brushes too! I’ve used this method before and it cleans the brushes just as well as turpentine would
Really? I have a ton of brushes I use for painting but my sister always leaves it with paint on it so it’s always so hard. I always just have to throw them away.
Girl ive been watching a "professional" for about 3 plus almost 4 years now and she has never ever shown us how to clean our brushes. Wow. Thank you so much.
For the ppl watching best way to prevent this from happening is to soak it in acetone and swoosh it around to agitate the acrylic while it’s still wet and soft it’s a good time to do it while the acrylic hardens on the nails. It will come out super easy and fast so you are ready to go for the next set and the next day. Like a paint brush!
@@1Ataya you don’t need to use oil if it’s properly cleaned before the acrylic hardening in the brush, just as long as you never let it get that way you should be good, dipping it in monomer after getting all the acrylic out before putting it away should be enough to keep it soft, hope this help!
For everyone saying it takes 1 hour to do one brush, no she's demonstrating with 1 brush You can put any amount you like at once its still gonna take 1 hour Even if you put 4 its still 1 hour not 4
Shoot, while everybody's appreciating that she took her time with cleaning her nail acrylic brushes, I'm over here appreciating that we have this young lady period to help learn how to do things the right way? Way too many ppl tell u to mix the acetone and monomer together but I was seeing that it wasn't working so I soaked my cheaper brushes in the acetone first for a while, and I concur....just like our beloved Ana said, it's all good once u do that and then give them a sip of monomer. Now I've never seen anybody mention the cuticle oil so once again Ana saves the day!!!! 🤗❤💯💅

Thank you i just did this exact thing yesterday bc i saw the nail suppliers doing it and u confirmed thats indeed a legit way to restore your brushes thank you my brush is lookin good as new!
I just commented the brush might be ruined. Not sure the oil would ever come of completely unless a degreaser is used. Try not to even touch the brush with fingers as natural skin oil would also transfer to brush and cause lifting. Only recondition it by submerging it in monomer.
Same here I was really wondering if I should clean the brushes this way. I have brush cleaner but the brush I was suppose to clean had so much acrylic in it , I decided to risk it and give it a go with this technique and the brush is back to normal working like just before, I think this method would be best to use when the brush has so much acrylic stuck in it but not as daily thing

I wouldn't. Just be patient. The bristles shouldn't really touch the bottom of the glass for too long. It takes time for the acetone to beak down the polymers.
I’m wondering, if you use colored monomer and clear acrylic power does it make a color? (also my bad if you’ve already been asked this before, I’m just curious)

I think it definitely will .

Do u have to clean of the oil before using it?
In cosmology school we were taught to never dip our brush into acetone under any circumstances. Just to soak the bristles in monomer.
Because acetone dries out brush bristles.....

For a quicker process can you swish it around and graze it in the cup in the acetone? Or will it damage the bristles?
I wouldn't. Just be patient. The bristles shouldn't really touch the bottom of the glass for too long. It takes time for the acetone to beak down the polymers.

Hi!! i’m just curious, but next time you use the brush, won’t the oil affect the application of acrylic ?
You don’t have to use the oil. The monomer will hydrate your brush.
