It wasn't a monster attack. It was a nuclear attack. 5:06 to climb San Luca is the fastest time ever. Delusion is never the right answer. Pogacar gambled and lost.
Anyone who thinks Ving isn't strong is kidding themselves. Classic psychology tactics indicating that Ving is trying to be 'competitive' and underselling the strength of this visma squad... We've got a race this year
Today Pogacar took very few seconds to lose all the boost of self-confidence the Giro had given him, and that's understandable, because Vingegaard looked in total control when he made his progression; and just a honorable mention for Evenepoel for his today's monster "time trial" 🔥
@@J-cz7yv Absolutely: his dominance at the Giro D'Italia, combined with Vingegaard's injury, had given him that extra dose of self-confidence that today quickly vanished

Special mention to Time Trial for Evenepoel. No need for that that could pay such effort in Galibier, though everybody could guess that Galibier will make a new Remco fighting for stages or dots maillot of the mountain in other stages. Strong ride by Remco. Supposedly Pog sat up before the line to try and let a gap go so that he wouldn't have to do all the podium work with yellow.
🐆 el jaguar is back! 😅
What a Tour De France!!
If riders have a GI issue with team food I think LR should post a title tease like "THERMONUCLEAR nature break"
its stage 2 and contenders are already attacking each other? is this novelty on tour now? i am old enough to remember theses things only really heated up on the mountain stages ahaha
jonas shows a devilish spike whenever pogacar attacks him
Arkea's first ever Tour stage!
Not much mention of the rider who caught Jonas and Pog towards the bottom of the descent, before Remko and Carapaz also caught up. Who is that rider and how did he catch the duo?
That was a rider dropped from the break.
RedBull did a wrong choice for Bora and Roglic lol 🤣🤣🤣
I wouldn't call it a MONSTER attack.....just a little sting in order to test Vingegaard...Vingegaard seems to be better than expected....it's Roglic that lost s few seconds on a climb he normally owns!!!
think Roglic was just caught napping. Hopefully he can pull it back but I fear thats going to be a tall order.
@@DanFallon1981 agreed!
It was the fastest climbing time we have data for, so yes, it was a very serious attack.
It wasn't a monster attack. It was a nuclear attack. 5:06 to climb San Luca is the fastest time ever. Delusion is never the right answer. Pogacar gambled and lost.
@@dextermogman I see your point...however....it is a 2 km climb and Pogacar didn't lose anything....maybe a bit of confidence perhaps....
Breakaway stage on the second day of the tour.
Awesome
If they have the exact same time, how does Pogachar get the yellow? Just curious about how the rules work in this situation.
Placings in stage 1-2 combined.
Anyone who thinks Ving isn't strong is kidding themselves. Classic psychology tactics indicating that Ving is trying to be 'competitive' and underselling the strength of this visma squad... We've got a race this year
why pog got the leaders jersey eventhough there are others tied with him?
if you are tied in time the one with the best average placement on the stages so far gets the jersey i think
@@youbetu18that is correct
Today Pogacar took very few seconds to lose all the boost of self-confidence the Giro had given him, and that's understandable, because Vingegaard looked in total control when he made his progression; and just a honorable mention for Evenepoel for his today's monster "time trial" 🔥
Tadej lost self confidence? Come on lol.
@@J-cz7yv Absolutely: his dominance at the Giro D'Italia, combined with Vingegaard's injury, had given him that extra dose of self-confidence that today quickly vanished
I agree. The big surprise for everybody is watching Vingo looking as nothing happened on Itzulia. Let's see Galibier but if Pogacar can't leave him back then the monsters of 22 and 23 will come back to poggy and I'm afraid third tour for Vingo is coming. Special mention to Time Trial for Evenepoel. No need for that that could pay such effort in Galibier, though everybody could guess that Galibier will make a new Remco fighting for stages or dots maillot of the mountain in other stages. About Roglic today demonstrates his chance to win the Tour was in 2020 when poggy made that crazy time trial. No more chances left for Primoz.
@@J-cz7yv On a climb that suits Pogacar much more than Vingegaard, not putting even a few seconds in when Pogacar has had a much more ideal preperation than Vingegaard has had to be a pretty big disappointment for him.
Why is everyone thinking Tadej is upset about not gapping Jonas on a 5 minute climb after a 10 second acceleration?
On Tuesday will Jonas be upset if he doesn’t gap Pog on Galibier?
whats is pogachar doing ? - " hes just getting a drink...phew😅"
Jonas playing with Tadej.
But tadej playing as well 🤣🤣
who are you fukin kidding man?? It was 300 meter climb into a descent. You really think that was any sort of test? Vinegar panic when Poggy was just going for a bottle. wait for a couple weeks in the Alps/Pyrenees. Then talk
My prediction is that Jonas is just going to get better and better as time passes through the race.
Monster Attack? Jonas answered Tadej pedal stroke for pedal stroke and stayed with him all the way up then down to the finish line.
still a monster attack, lost Roglic and Remco
if they',llbe in one team how strong is
What is the problem of visma again and again crush?
Patrick, aren't you supposed to be in the Control Van doing analysis!?
Why is Pogacar in yellow when they all have the same time ? (sorry kind of a newbie...)
Since on the 1st stage he crossed the line before them, all had the same time of the peleton, but pogi went over the finish line first
Still feeling so sorry for Bardet. Of course Poggy should have taken the lead today. But not like this for sure, from having the best of the rest position yesterday.
Teams buses after this: Visma over the moon! Bora very quiet not a total disaster but not good.UAE shocked. The UAE boys who dominated Tour of Swiss nowhere! Jonas onto Tadej like a rash and this stage not his stomping ground. We will know more after stage 4.
Both Almeida and Yates are not punchy riders so it was normal for them to ride with the second group conserving fo that stage 4 which is suited for those two. I am more surprised by Roglic tbh.
I want to see Jonas on the real climbs😼
3:53 "la fuga nella fuga" = "the breakaway in the breakaway" 👍
"fuga de la fuga"
I suspect biggest effort in this stage was remco which saw very little coverage 🤷
terbaik lah primo
So many of these comments are outrageously stupid. It’s stage 2. Nothing is decided. Remco rode fantastically to get back to them, Pogacar looks sharp, Jonas looks sharp. Even Roglic isn’t too far back. It’s DAY 2. Chill out fanboys, the race isn’t over, no matter who you love the most.
Vinge is stronger than he’s letting on imo
That would be the smart play. But I do think is he geniune when he is saying that is isn’t sure himself. Its impossible to know how well your body recovers after so many injuries and whether he will have issues with recovery (between stages) - which is usually where he very strong
Vingegaard not in his best shape yet, but enough to follow Pogs in Pogs terrain and take the lead sometimes.
1,9km climb is not Pog terrain what are you on?
@@fangru7294it most certainly is poggi terrain, you need to stop making ignorant comments
@@ChristianW1975 you are delusional. Pog is climber. He is the best on 10km climb with steeper end where his team can go full gas for 2/3 of climb to cook others so he can attack on steeper section and nobody can follow him... How is 1,9km his terrain? Maybe if he was in his classics form then we can talk about it but definitely not on tour...
@@fangru7294 even LR calls it Pogacar terrain. But I guess you have to argue, you know, being a poggi fanboi and all.
@@ChristianW1975says Jonas glazer lol
And so begins the race for 1st….and 3rd! Not the same competition.
These 2, eh? Still respect there though. Brilliant
I have sooo much respect for Jonas!! He's my man!!! ❤
Pogi is in trouble. Jonas will only get better, while pogi having done the giro won't...
lets wait how this plays out. Pogi wouldnt have stood a chance for the win this year with the Giro in the legs if Vingegaard had optimal preparation. but now we cant rely on the old "Jonas will be strongest in week 3" either because he also missed a lot of training that he usually aims towards peaking in week 3. this is still wide open. all today means is that Jonas wont be an easy pushover, it doesnt mean he is on top, yet.
Roglic getting dropped on stage two? That's not good
Petition to make silly jersey sponsors illegal. Lease-a-Bike and B&B Hotels looking at you 👀
Really not a good look from Roglic - he was dropped even before the attack
Happy to see Jonas follow Pogi, in his terrain🇩🇰
Hopefully, Jonas have not lost his edge on the harder and longer climbs aswell
All go rythm.
lets goooo
Haha love all the die-hard Pog fanboys before the race saying this is their man's time, he's the best, look at his domination this season... It'll all be over after stage 1 and Jonas won't have a chance to get his race legs back in time... bla bla bla. Then 'The Specialist' turns up like a lame duck straight out of the Vet, and toys with Pog: "Hey buddy... I'm baaaack"😆🤭 Sad thing is, he's only going to get stronger💪 One day Pog will learn to sit out the Giro, hide in the Alps somewhere, and focus solely on Le Tour.
@RimBrakeKing ... On verra a Nice😜
@@gringo19860 I think your comment is very personal, very mature to be fighting against "fanboys" instead of enjoying the race, it was just a small attack on day 2 and people are already calling Jonas the winner at week 3.
@@AndrezzSpideyzzz Haha you Pog supporters sure take things personal, and are easy to stir up... Bon chance next mountain my friend 😉
Youre talking like him utterly dominating the Giro and winning several spring classics is a bad thing lol. Even if he never wins another Tour again he is a greater cyclist already than Vingegaard. Cycling isnt only Tour , lets see Jonas win the Giro/Vuelta or any other classic? Wont happen.
@@Psysso True true... TP is the greatest allrounder since Merckx I guess, and the most exciting to watch ! JV is like a one-race specialist, and a little boring, but gets the job done in the greatest race. I was just poking fun at all those writing him off before the race began. But time will tell...
Jates?
UAE and pig again doing the same thing. They should have let Adam attack and see what Jonas does. Let the bait out.
Honestly I think uae and poggi doesn’t really think things thru using even Yates as another leader.
