Ha! Yes, it's totally easy to shoot in NY in Feb in the middle of the night with a battery powered light and a crew of 3 while the cast stands by steam vents so their mouths don't go numb and they can say their lines. I'm so glad we didn't have a two millon-per-episode budget or all those pesky people to help us out while we laid in more VFX-per-shot than most movies!
The fact that this doesn't have more views is criminal. Absolutely phenomenal job, from the story to the fx to the acting to the editing - this could not have been easy, though it is easily one of the best indie action shorts I've seen. I love every single hint of Batman - especially the shot at 11:08. Beautiful. Amazing job.

Best Bat Fan Film Ever. You kept the Batman a mystery, even to the viewer. He's mysterious even to viewers who know everything about him already. You never get to close to him, so we see him the way the people in the film see him. Glimpses, frightening, awesome. I love your Amanda Waller also. The beginning of her obsession with Batman.
I say best "fan film" but honestly in darkness and style, it might be the best live action interpretation of The Batman ever. I agree with everyone else, all you guys need is money. I LOVED Gordon's understanding of him. "Maybe he just wants to see who is hunting him, look into the abyss and the abyss looks back." Brilliant!! Demonstrating how intelligent he is! And his Cape was slick! Haha. Great job man!

This was stunning. I don't know how you guys did this this was the best fan film I ever saw. The effects were amazing the green lantern part was an unexpectedly amazing. It's crazy how all it takes is dedication and actually caring about what comicbook fans want to see to blow these big budget blunders out of the water.. This is superior to the last few DC movies that were put out recently. And most importantly you nailed batman with the silhouette lurking in the shadows and the gadgets. Keep doing your thing dont be discouraged if you dont get the response you deserve right now cuz this should have 75 million view easily
Your portrayal of Batman is really good, he has this mysterious vibe surrounding him, a classic batman, meant to scare of the bad guys. Though I feel like your portrayal of the six could be better, I love the Secret Six, their comic series is one of my favorites ever, and the six here isn't bad or anything but it took me until Floyd put on his mask that I realized that he was Deadshot, at first I thought Blake was Deadshot because he doesn't really act like Catman. Bane was pretty cool though I wish we could've seen more of him, and I have to say that Scandal is good in here. Would have loved to see Ragdoll too but it is pretty cool what you guys have here. If you ever decide to make another film with the six, you should definitely give them their costumes, man I'd love to see Catman in a live action stuff, hell I'd love to see him in anything, (games, animated series, comics) You guys did a really good job here, I hope you know that!

dude....this is the best fucking fan film iv seen. and all of the subtle details like the bat voice were so perfected. the comedy was subtle and not corny. the tone was creepy and grounded. this was seriously tv show or netflix movie level quality. im wishing this was a tv series. id even take it if deadshot and that guy with the " package" were the 2 main characters.

I'm actually really impressed, this was amazing...PLEASE keep up the good work....I loved everything, the fact u didn't catch a really good look at Batman til the end is realistic if he was real, you wouldn't even see him coming....with that said I have to say, the Green Lantern cameo stole the show. Friggin awesome from beginning to end. 2 thumbs up!
This is actually so well done. And shocked it's taken me a year+ to see this. Bane was intimidating for the 3 seconds we saw him and Catman was great. My one complaint is not seeing the bat suit (which I'm sure looks great)
Thanks! The actor playing Bane, Shon Lange, is enormous in real life as well and we want to use him again. And just like Bane, he has an amazing singing voice!! At least I think I read that about Bane...hard to keep up with all the retcons.
That. Was. EPIC! I loved everything about it! The casting, the costumes, the lighting, even the photoshop, which was a little off but still amazing job! I especially love the way you captured Batman being a wanted vigilante, but at the same time show him being a silent guardian for the city. A Dark Knight.
"A demon in the dark" perfectly describes Batman to the criminal elment,this was suprisingly well done for a fan film I wonder how much time this would have taken also the end with foreshadowing of catman made me chuckle. Anyway good job all and all.
The idea of Batman not completely showing up is great, it's something that actually happens in the comics and makes the character more misterious and terrifying, the way this movie handled him is great 10/10 would watch again. Can SOMEONE applaud whoever made this ?....not only is the writing freshly unorthodox, naturally comical, due to the fact that it has 'real' dialogue,.....but this film was a film that FINALLY got the CAPE RIGHT !!!!.....BRAVO !!!!!! .....the cape is as important as the ears...it makes him a BAT !...no other filmmaker, Hollywood or otherwise would apply their full attention on it ! ( Bale's could fly - kudos !)....at last !...sheesh !
I bow. It SHOULD take many methods, as the Comic Artists draw the cape different for every type of scene, so to get that variety of effect......or have I misunderstood ?
Totally correct. We used a lot of visual references from Miller, Mazzucchelli, Lee, Sale, Aparo, Timm and Capullo (tons of other artists' renditions were all over our walls). Most scenes involved shooting the actor on set with a cape made from a very large heavy black fabric. We then shot added footage in front of a green screen. And then we combined the images and added touch ups in Adobe After Effects.
aaahhhh....!....well, you captured MY interest..!...great work ...was any of those artists the one who drew Batman looking like 6'7" , bulky, with the extra-dark suit and super-long ears ? (90's). He had that 25-foot cape
Despite the budget this was beautifully executed. Well done Cloustons. Bravo Forewarned Films! This was always how I thought Batman should be. In the dark barely seen and terrorizing criminals.
That was incredible! I loved the insane attention to details, the little easter eggs, the dialogues, the directing and good God if the VFX were definitively something else! But most of all, I loved that combining all of those things, you have the atmosphere of the DC universe brought to life! This is an awesome job and it deserves much more attention.
This is whats been missed from Batman since the Batman Begins aired and that's the villain perspective. In BB you saw how Batman invoked terror in villains. This fanvid DEMONstrated that perfectly even including villians like DeadShot and Bane which I admired. Kinda was confused about Green Lantern and Black Adam but was impressed with the visuals

OUTSTANDING Batmanery. This is who he is. And this is why he has been, and is, the greatest comic book character ever. Loved the final shots of him in the darkness in the Bat Cave in full costume surrounded by glowing tech, but it was only one of many great scenes stuffed into 16 and half minutes.
this was pretty good. i like how you made batman more mysterious and creepy as he stalked the six. very good concept and a simple yet effective story that kept me interested. well done.
I watch a lot of fan made and short films a lot, coming from there and from the point of a writer, I got to say great job. I really liked the way you started without the outfits making it seem like they were just six regular people, only revealing themselves before the fight. Really liked the way you threw in the GL and Black Adam fight too. One of the best shorts and fan made batman films I have seen and I've been watching batman fan films all day today. You got my sub.
We really wanted to engage the viewer and let them figure out who each character was as we went along. It can be a bit tricky, in terms of storytelling, but totally worth it when we get a thoughtful comment like this. Thanks for watching!!!

I liked this. A lot. One problem with portrayals of the Batman is too much Batman. This only has glimpses of the Batman. You understand how people can believe they are seeing a giant bat.
I totally agree. Batman wears his costume to scare bad guys long enough to give him an edge. And having him out and about in broad daylight would ruin that.

man, this is really good. the editing is amazing for a fan-based YT video. The firing of the bullets will need some work though omg, toothpaste and ginger ale breath - that caught me off guard lol

I can't figure out why I have never seen this even though I've been looking for all the Batman sort of films. This was like a roller coaster ride of characters that you are familiar with and different takes on them and it was fun, funny and really just an overall great film. I was impressed by what I just saw, this is too good !!!, the effects, the characters, Batman all dark, Banshee, Bane, Giganta, it looked so real, Green Lantern fighting with Black Adam !!! I congratulate you enormously, hopefully and those in charge of the DC Universe do something to improve, and we see something similar already as a full movie, if you can!
I'm glad I took the time to watch this film. Granted, it was kind of rough at the start, but it is well worth sticking through. One thing is very clear, you folks were VERY ambitious in pulling this off and the experience is all the better for it. I think the atmosphere you created was really palpable. I think the only think really holding this back, are the performances, but with films of this nature, that's kind of what you need to expect, but that rough first patch I mentioned was me not really believing what the characters were saying because I didn't believe they believed it. Having said that, as the film progressed there were some really great deliveries and some lines that felt very genuine and had me chuckle. Cat-Man's "Wait, what?" was really great as well as his last line. Very nice. Also, I'd really like to mention the fact that you threw in all the nods that make a universe like this complete. It actually, to me, didn't feel like fan service or pandering. These things pop up in the comics all the time, and seeing as how this felt like you were actually watching an issue from a run of the comic, the easter eggs didn't feel like easter eggs. Immediately when the investigation scene commenced the film, I knew who those characters were, and credit those actors, because they actually felt like the characters they were representing. I'm one of those fans who sometimes prefer less Batman, so this was choice. (Loved that long shot of him dispensing the smoke pellet, very nice) Thanks for sharing this with the world. I'll make sure to spread it further.

I'm actually really impressed, this was amazing...PLEASE keep up the good work....I loved everything, the fact u didn't catch a really good look at Batman til the end is realistic if he was real, you wouldn't even see him coming....with that said I have to say, the Green Lantern cameo stole the show. Bane was intimidating for the 3 seconds we saw him and Catman was great. My one complaint is not seeing the bat suit (which I'm sure looks great)
Thanks! The actor playing Bane, Shon Lange, is enormous in real life as well and we want to use him again. And just like Bane, he has an amazing singing voice!! At least I think I read that about Bane...hard to keep up with all the retcons.

That. Was. EPIC! I loved everything about it! The casting, the costumes, the lighting, even the photoshop, which was a little off but still amazing job! I especially love the way you captured Batman being a wanted vigilante, but at the same time show him being a silent guardian for the city. A Dark Knight.

"A demon in the dark" perfectly describes Batman to the criminal elment,this was suprisingly well done for a fan film I wonder how much time this would have taken also the end with foreshadowing of catman made me chuckle. Anyway good job all and all.

The idea of Batman not completely showing up is great, it's something that actually happens in the comics and makes the character more misterious and terrifying, the way this movie handled him is great 10/10 would watch again.

Can SOMEONE applaud whoever made this ?....not only is the writing freshly unorthodox, naturally comical, due to the fact that it has 'real' dialogue,.....but this film was a film that FINALLY got the CAPE RIGHT !!!!.....BRAVO !!!!!!
.....the cape is as important as the ears...it makes him a BAT !...no other filmmaker, Hollywood or otherwise would apply their full attention on it ! ( Bale's could fly - kudos !)....at last !...sheesh !

It SHOULD take many methods, as the Comic Artists draw the cape different for every type of scene, so to get that variety of effect......or have I misunderstood ?
Totally correct. We used a lot of visual references from Miller, Mazzucchelli, Lee, Sale, Aparo, Timm and Capullo (tons of other artists' renditions were all over our walls). Most scenes involved shooting the actor on set with a cape made from a very large heavy black fabric. We then shot added footage in front of a green screen. And then we combined the images and added touch ups in Adobe After Effects.

This is whats been missed from Batman since the Batman Begins aired and that's the villain perspective. In BB you saw how Batman invoked terror in villains. This fanvid DEMONstrated that perfectly even including villians like DeadShot and Bane which I admired. Kinda was confused about Green Lantern and Black Adam but was impressed with the visuals

OUTSTANDING Batmanery. This is who he is. And this is why he has been, and is, the greatest comic book character ever. Loved the final shots of him in the darkness in the Bat Cave in full costume surrounded by glowing tech, but it was only one of many great scenes stuffed into 16 and half minutes.

I watch a lot of fan made and short films a lot, coming from there and from the point of a writer, I got to say great job. I really liked the way you started without the outfits making it seem like they were just six regular people, only revealing themselves before the fight. Really liked the way you threw in the GL and Black Adam fight too. One of the best shorts and fan made batman films I have seen and I've been watching batman fan films all day today. You got my sub.
We really wanted to engage the viewer and let them figure out who each character was as we went along. It can be a bit tricky, in terms of storytelling, but totally worth it when we get a thoughtful comment like this. Thanks for watching!!!

I liked this. A lot. One problem with portrayals of the Batman is too much Batman. This only has glimpses of the Batman. You understand how people can believe they are seeing a giant bat.
I totally agree. Batman wears his costume to scare bad guys long enough to give him an edge. And having him out and about in broad daylight would ruin that.

I my self am the type of batman fan that if i don't see enough of him I'm not happy with the product, but with that being said omg this was frigin awesome I like the fact u didn't throw batman in our faces kept him mysterious the way he really should be. the light comedic banter was perfect (don't wanna do to much of that)and the acting was totally better than most who always try to over act really guy's I think wow just isn't enough and I suck at spelling so I can't even write something insightful but just so u know u definitely won one more subscriber.... I can't figure out why I have never seen this even though I've been looking for all the Batman sort of films. This was like a roller coaster ride of characters that you are familiar with and different takes on them and it was fun, funny and really just an overall great film. This was something that definitely should have shown up to me sooner! You now have a new subscriber.

ForewarnedFilms It's an approach no mainstream studio would dare to take, so I commend your creativity.
I'm glad I took the time to watch this film. Granted, it was kind of rough at the start, but it is well worth sticking through. One thing is very clear, you folks were VERY ambitious in pulling this off and the experience is all the better for it. I think the atmosphere you created was really palpable. I think the only think really holding this back, are the performances, but with films of this nature, that's kind of what you need to expect, but that rough first patch I mentioned was me not really believing what the characters were saying because I didn't believe they believed it.
Having said that, as the film progressed there were some really great deliveries and some lines that felt very genuine and had me chuckle. Cat-Man's "Wait, what?" was really great as well as his last line. Very nice.
Also, I'd really like to mention the fact that you threw in all the nods that make a universe like this complete. It actually, to me, didn't feel like fan service or pandering. These things pop up in the comics all the time, and seeing as how this felt like you were actually watching an issue from a run of the comic, the easter eggs didn't feel like easter eggs. Immediately when the investigation scene commenced the film, I knew who those characters were, and credit those actors, because they actually felt like the characters they were representing.
I'm one of those fans who sometimes prefer less Batman, so this was choice. (Loved that long shot of him dispensing the smoke pellet, very nice)
