Yeah, its a good version of the character that does a lot of justice after the great performance Devito did. Colin's version I also want to see a lot more of. He is very much a gangster which is really cool because the Penguin has always been some kind of gangster and the writers and Colin are pushing it to the max on this. In the last 5 years or so we’re getting more penguin and I like that. I really like the penguin in Gotham and I’m happy to see the character get his own show.
Penguin: Walks out of a drug lab Has a corpse in the back of a car Has a bunch of illegally obtained cash in the car Shoots at Batman Shoots at Catwoman Shoots at Detective Gordon Causes easily a dozen deaths from vehicular manslaughter Batman: "Wait you're not the rat? Guess you're free to go!" What about the cavalcade of crimes he just committed Bruce?
Joker: Notorious killer responsible for killing tens if not hundreds of people on multiple occasions Constantly terrorises Gotham Caused millions of dollars worth of property damage Manufactures poisonous gas Manufactures crazy amounts of explosives Robbed multiple banks Killed Batman's young sidekick with a crowbar Batman: "This time doctors at Arkham will surely cure your mental conditions". I guess letting villains go without making them face adequate consequences is a common trope in the Batman world.
i like the call backs to these things in the penguin show . Hes a good driver in this chase scene we get a bit about that in the penguin show with the story he tells vic and being Sofia's driver. The scenes with the him speaking Spanish in show and how he points out the difference here. The shows great so far!
Just noticed how the scene at 10:00 of the Batman walking to the Penguim, lowkey reminds Western movies. His boots have a little clanking noise like that from cowboys and his short cape reminds those ponchos

The whine of the Turbine starting up and the dark figure of some type of vehicle really demonstrated the tactic that Batman employs to win a lot of his fights.
It's fear.
And Colin Farrell really nailed it. His face wasn't contempt. It was afraid of what he just started.
It's so weird to hear Oz use "friggin" when he drops the F bomb so casually in the series.
Even his voice is crazy different he aged it up so well
Having him be a Tony Saprano based mob-boss type is genius. There is no grounded live action batman adaptation that would work if they were to take the insert the real comic vesion.
DUDE!!!!! FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT!!!!!!!!!!
In the last 5 years or so we’re getting more penguin and I like that. I really like the penguin in Gotham and I’m happy to see the character get his own show.
I didn't see Colin in this scene. That's how good he is.
Penguin:
Walks out of a drug lab
Has a corpse in the back of a car
Has a bunch of illegally obtained cash in the car
Shoots at Batman
Shoots at Catwoman
Shoots at Detective Gordon
Causes easily a dozen deaths from vehicular manslaughter
Batman: "Wait you're not the rat? Guess you're free to go!"
What about the cavalcade of crimes he just committed Bruce?
Joker:
Notorious killer responsible for killing tens if not hundreds of people on multiple occasions
Constantly terrorises Gotham
Caused millions of dollars worth of property damage
Manufactures poisonous gas
Manufactures crazy amounts of explosives
Robbed multiple banks
Killed Batman's young sidekick with a crowbar
Batman: "This time doctors at Arkham will surely cure your mental conditions".
I guess letting villains go without making them face adequate consequences is a common trope in the Batman world.
That's why peacemaker dosnt have an array of villians, all his are deep down in the ground,
Unlawful search and seizure, sorry bro had to let him go
Colin Farrell's impression as an old school Italian mobster is amazing!
Just watched the penguin first episode, and the show is so good!
is good to becoming?
I haven’t watched the movie but the guy playing penguin is class, amazing acting
i like the call backs to these things in the penguin show . Hes a good driver in this chase scene we get a bit about that in the penguin show with the story he tells vic and being Sofia's driver. The scenes with the him speaking Spanish in show and how he points out the difference here. The shows great so far!
Penguin just flabbergasted that they were wrong hahaha... All that collateral damage for nothing lol
I really enjoyed this movie. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Penguin completely stole the show, this movie is a MASTERPIECE.
I have watched the movie many times...but still.. i tilt the phone upside down....to watch that one particular scene.... marvelous ❤
he actually has two more scene appearances when carmine gets whacked and at the end when batman is saying some will grab power
6:08 This guy's crazy!
crazy? i was crazy once
They put me in a room full of penguins
If Colin Farrell doesn't get an award for his portrayal of The Penguin then there's something really wrong. The man is a true talented actor.
watching the penguin show be ultra realistic makes me forget there's a guy in a bat suit who's out there fighting crime
After watching 3rd epi of Penguin…this feels like….icing on the cake…🫡
Wow. That chase was fast and furious. So, Brotha' Gordon has his own Batman voice, too?
Just noticed how the scene at 10:00 of the Batman walking to the Penguim, lowkey reminds Western movies. His boots have a little clanking noise like that from cowboys and his short cape reminds those ponchos
Dude killed it in this role
Seriously Oscar worthy.. if he had more screen time he should have be nominated. There isn’t a single hint of Colin Farrell in this performance, the man transformed! The same was done with Heath, his persona was completely masked by the Joker.
Maravilloso!!
Saludos!!
Penguin show he never slides on his belly to get away 5/10
If the Batman doesn't have at least one apperance by the end of The Penguin series, i am going to be so pissed off
0:47. To think in an alternate universe, penguin was trying hard to get some from Catwoman, by thinking he had a chance by showing her how he was going to rig the Batmobile.
So far I’m really liking this show
This is the BEST Detective and therefore best Batman EVER done. I had very little hope but he NAILED this..
I love there take on Oz I love how he's in the Italian mob and penguine is his allias due to his club foot instead of a deformed man who is an actually penguine
Crazy how this is the Penguin BEFORE his transformation into THE PENGUIN .... those who watched the show understand... wild. Best show ive watched in a while
Colin Farrell doing the oldschool Robert de Niro version of the Penguin.
