This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 764 subs and > 300 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

they could reduce the price of fresh food. Just 24,242 tons was passed on to the needy out of 282,338 tons of unsold food approaching its use-by or best-before date.

40 years ago in my first year of university I craved liver, onions, greens and gravy. I always felt my body was telling me something and I had the good sense to listen.
    It was cheap and nutritious.

"Industrially produced edible substance" - what a perfect name, spot on. Thanks for all your podcasts!

This was a really great conversation, thank you.
I have felt the same way as he does about heavily processed food with drinking cows milk and feel society is just as powerless to stop drinking that, unless they have an intolerance or are vegan. I find the fact that we base our diet on the milk of an animal absurd, but at the same time I grew up drinking it and only changed my way of thinking once I discovered I was in fact intolerant to it 😂

Whole milk is good and theres no reason to remove that from your diet, if you drink extra processed milk (semi-skimmed, etc) then yeah drop that.

What most of the people in the comments don’t understand is he’s not ONLY talking about the junk food we all know to stay away from but can’t. It’s now showing up in ‘healthy’ foods that the food industry is trying to pivot to so they don’t look like the problem when they really are.

Malnutrition is not a health issue, but rather an economic issue that turns into a health issue
    Super unfortunate

Not true. Fast food is at an all time high and it's more expensive than real food.

@@steadystackin7250Yes it’s definitely getting that way. The fast food companies are milking as much coin out of peoples pockets as they can without making it super noticeable, still flashing “meal deals” and the like to draw us in.
Like what he mentioned in the video, time is a massive factor for people. Especially if for example someone works a 12 hour day, has to travel far and gets up super early, they have little time to cook so the easier option is to go with fast food. It’s much less effort to get a 5 minute McDonald’s meal then go home and cook a roast dinner

I expect the UK govt will target all the major food manufacturers, now that they're armed with this knowledge ... any minute now ... waiting ... any day now ... any week now ... any month now ... any year now?! ... 🙄🤔

I'd much rather turn up to an occasion with my own food than eat processed shit; I don't care what people think; if they're not understanding, they're not part of my tribe.

World Obesity federation? That's where we've gotten. Pathetic. But how come many people don't eat that much junk? You can't blame economics when people buy packs of.crisps/chips, soda.and cookies and forego proper food
