There was NEVER a bad episode of this show. Yeah, maybe some were better than others, but there wasn't a single time I watched this series where I was bored or thought it had lost its appeal. A fantastic character study all the way to the very end.
Vic and Shane's last convo is so brutal. He already "won" but vic had to get the last word. Definitely think Shane would have spared them if they hadn't talked

When Wyms confronts Mackey in the interrogation room and reads Shane's letter is up there imo. The double finale in general is one of the greatest ever TV experiences for me. Perfect ending to a classic series.

I found the last season of The Wire, in contrast, to be a serious decline in quality especially the faux serial killer plot device and the finale episode came across as attempting to wrap things up already which sacrificed the slower coalescence style pacing of the earlier seasons. Anyway, sorry for the long and months late reply, all this just to say that The Shield is so underrated to this day.
Notice how Vic is sitting on the suspects side of the table. When Claudette is watching him on the camera and he notices, that one still shot of Vic on the camera looking menacing as hell before he rips it off the wall was one of, if not my favorite scene in the whole series
I forgot how awesome Glenn Close was in this. I was surprised that she would be in something like this but she was brilliant and I liked the chemistry between her and Mackey.
Season 4 is my favorite because of Glenn motherf***ing Close. She is just amazing, and I love the dynamic between her and Vic so much. This series as a whole is crazy underrated, especially since we had series like Breaking Bad taking the spotlight. The show, the actors and this season deserves more praise. One thing I'll add is that a lot of people have seen and loved Sons Of Anarchy, but are not aware that SOA might not have been this successful without The Shield first. Plus, the easter eggs Sutter brought are just delightful! Anyways, cheers from France! 🍻

I'm satisfied with the clips you chose for this video. No matter how many times I watch the clip of Shane hightailing it out of the barn, I will ALWAYS get goosebumps. That scene was one of those "oh shit" atom bombs... like when Hank found out Walter was Heisenberg.
One of the most important moments is in Co-Pilot, when they first plant evidence to gain a conviction. Shane and Vic look at each other and say "It was easy, wasn't it?"
1 of the best scenes in my opinion is the scene at the end when Claudette and Vic sit down and talk .... the energy between those 2 actors was incredible
I remember back in 2003 getting goosebumps watching them looking over the money train cash. Aside from The Sopranos and The Wire, there was very little else good on TV at the time. The Shield was a great surprise.
Now THAT was a scene... Vic almost clawing at his chest knowing his wife and children are gone....one of the few times I actually felt for Vic. Brilliant acting
That scene was so well done. In most movies and TV shows when the main guys pull off a big robbery they're all happy and celebrating and drinking champagne. This is much more real, they are silently freaking out because they have this huge stack of cash to deal with now.

Lem dying is the best scene. It’s haunting and the acting is incredible. Walton Groggins kills it and you can feel his pain when he just keeps saying he’s sorry over and over. It’s an amazing and raw scene and it absolutely put the show on its path to its finish. Best scene of this show hands down.

Benito Martinez's acting was absolutely unbelievable how good he played the whole PTSD thing after being sexually violated.

Glen Close was incredible on this show. When her addition was announced via endless promo commercials, I remember thinking, ahhh, whatever. After the first episode, I became a big fan. Great writing, great acting, this show was bigtime.
This show was heroine and fentanyl to the max. As soon as one episode finished, you had to have another one immediately. I loved Sopranos, Breaking Bad, The Wire, NYPD Blue, Better Call Saul Narcos, The Offer, 24 and many more, but the Shield is still the best show ever.
And how poetic were their punishments. Lem, the good guy got killed by a team member. Shane, the bad guy killed himself. Vick, the leader got himself out but without his family. And Ronnie, the sucker, got jail time..

The scene when she realizes she's being fired is gold. Rewatched the show recently and that scene stood out for me.
A show full of big, scary, tough guys and this lioness roars over all of them.

This show was heroine and fentanyl to the max. As soon as one episode finished, you had to have another one immediately. I loved Sopranos, Breaking Bad, The Wire, NYPD Blue, Better Call Saul Narcos, The Offer, 24 and many more, but the Shield is still the best show ever.
Only show I ever met other people to watch.
In the end Vic destroyed his whole team.
And how poetic were their punishments.
Lem, the good guy got killed by a team member. Shane, the bad guy killed himself.
Vick, the leader got himself out but without his family.
And Ronnie, the sucker, got jail time..
