If you liked Banshee check out Strike Back seasons 2-5, Scott and Stonebridge are great characters and it has some great shooting action. The hand to hand sucks though, thankfully there's not too much of it. The first season was a British production exclusively and was a much different show.

Fun fact, the Smith and Wesson third generation of semi automatic pistols, has a magazine disconnect. This means that when there is a magazine, not inserted into the gun the trigger mechanism is disengaged and the weapon will not fire. 😂
The Shield did have a little bit of episodic " fat " that could have been cut without impinging on the shows arc, but BB had a few whole episodes that really didn't add anything to the series narrative.
The Sopranos is the greatest show of all time. The Shield has the greatest television ending of all time. Breaking Bad has the greatest episode of all time
There's never going to be another show like the shield and there's never going to be another character like Vic Mackey. Until society grows a set of balls and quit being so soft at the very least.

There's never been anything close to The Shield. NYPD Blue, Narcos, Sopranos, Yellowstone, Better Call Saul and others all excellent. All those shows were TV Heroin. Shield was next level Fentanyl.

This is true but many police agencies had this option removed by their armorer or right from the factory . It’s an option that can be removed .
