So grateful you share as much a you do. Watching your process is wonderful, but left wondering, wanting , never knowing fully, leaves a sweet ache that throws us deeper into the love of ceramics and her secrets.
I'm always looking for friends Celeste trust me when I say they're hard to come by,,,I love art,all kinds... Ceramics, Sculpturing, Drawing, Painting...I don't consider myself a good one thou . Im working on getting there, one day!
There is something incredibly meditative about watching this work. I have the feeling that the master potter feels the same, because he deliberately prolongs the working process on the potter's wheel (at least that's how it seems to me), he divides each work step into many small steps so that it looks as if he is preferably sitting in front of the rotating disk forever... He avoids any hint of "effectiveness" and thus turns his work into art, because in many respects art is the exact opposite of effectiveness...
Lindo, muito delicado, adorei, estou me aventurando a alguns anos com marcenaria e logo quero começar minha aventura com cerâmica, acho as duas mágicas! Parabéns!
for lowering my toughts to achieve the pure ones in my mind.. those things helps me a lot. i think im gonna make my cup later. because "you can only drink for yourself with a cup that you made just for yourself"
How curious that pottery has secret techniques. Still very interesting to watch, even if its "just" the end bit of the production. Especially the forming and adding of the spout was fascinating.
can someone elaborate what the blue glaze on the outside is and why it is wiped off after the inside glaze is applied? is there a name for this technique?
Norym perhaps instead of asking an artist to reveal proprietary secrets, you should ask to buy some of his pieces, so that he may continue his exceptional work. Then you can have them in your home to appreciate.
I"m glad this doesn't have any music. just pure sounds.
I turn the sound off regularly!

Amazing videos. But how does the crackle effect appear? Has it been fired to this point already?
Great work! I wonder what type of dye is used (the dip bucket). Wud it be safe to consume hot stuff stored in such painted earthen containers?
Considering that they are made for tea, they should be food safe.
The “dye” is called a glaze.
I enjoy watching you making the pottery and like the style of your design. How I can buy one? I am from Hong Kong. Thanks...

What is that liquid for glazing and how it is made please show us 🙏
I think it's liquid clay mixed with glazing. You have to experiment with it, different types of glazes and temperatures yield different results.
