Gorgeous. I just had my 6th pottery lesson this week and we made plates. It was my favourite thing to make so far! Though nowhere as gorgeous as these. I learned a lot - thank you 🤎

I love the tones of your white glaze! I'm looking for similar for my own pottery
I agree that plates are the most difficult shape. All of the centripetal forces; and getting a balance of pliable enough clay, and yet strong enough not to collapse… I have not yet mastered plate making as well as you. Yours are beautiful!

毎回お使いの、板？は何をお使いですか？
石膏ボードかと思っていたら、フニャッと少ししなるように拝見できまして気になりました。
あと、その板の留め方も、置くだけで密着できるのでしょうか？

板は3mm程の薄いMDFを使っていて、湿気があるとしなりやすいため、ある程度作品が乾燥したらペリッと剥がせます。板の保管には、かさねて置いて、一番上に重石(石膏版など）をのせることで変形を防ぎます。
板を留めるのにはXiemのBatmateという布を使っていて、水を含ませて板を置くだけで密着できるので重宝しています。（日本でもアマゾンで購入可能みたいですwww.amazon.co.jp/Xiem-Tools-XMB14-10093-14%E3%82%A4%E3%83%B3%E3%83%81%E3%83%90%E3%83%83%E3%83%88%E3%83%A1%E3%82%A4%E3%83%88-%E9%99%B6%E5%99%A8%E3%81%A8%E3%82%BB%E3%83%A9%E3%83%9F%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF%E7%94%A8/dp/B074PXPYZG)

Plate service area seems small. the overall look is good
Hi there, I made this for a Michelin restaurant in London - they had a specific requirement for the inner diameter size. I think they preferred it to be smaller side as a wider rim makes dish to look elegant.
What glaze is this? It looks great!!
