I recommend the contents and design but at least with my copies , the build feels like it will fall apart on me after a couple readings. I’ll be picking up the Blackest Night 10th anniversary omnibus that’s out very soon

This book is pretty much a spiritual successor, be it 20 or so years later, to Frank Miller’s Batman Year One, and it is equal to the task. It is a top notch Batman comic. As good as it gets. It is worthy as a successor to Yesr One and a must read. Sorry for all the cliches but I just have to get across how good this book is. Also, if you have read this but haven’t read Yesr One, what are you waiting for? Yesr One is amazing. The Absolute Yesr One is the best way to read it. Highly recommended.

Great review! I purchased this Absolute Version and loved the exterior design but was very disappointed with the interior cover. Most Absolute interior covers have either a dust jacket or art on the interior cover. No complaints with the story, it is great.
Many Thanks! The latest designs dont have a dust jacket and I hope it stays that way because the ones that too... I have a lot of wear on it due to taking it in and out the slipcase. Would have been also great to see new art from Jock though for this edition but I assume they couldnt get him.

I just took a look at it on your IG, that looks so cool! Maybe once Curse of the White Knight finishes we'll get them both together in an English printing. I think the Noir books are some of the coolest deluxe books DC has done in a long time.

Did you hear about the "Batman: Death of the Family Saga" trade paperback? It's coming out and collecting the whole event!
There is also a standard hardcover that came out for it a while back that collects the whole event. We definitely need the Absolute Edition.
The Deluxe Edition I actually own that hardcover you are referring to. However The Joker: Death of the Family Hardcover DOESN’T include the new 52 Batman event #13-17. This new TP “Batman Death of the Family Saga” with collect the Batman 13-17 issues and the tie-ins.
Ahh... I know what you mean... yeah you’ll need both hardcovers to get the entire event... The joker HC has just the tie-ins and Batman 17 I believe (please correct me if I’m wrong) . Unless it contains a whole bunch of extras , not sure if it’s worth getting it unless you don’t have both hardcovers.
