Great feature, Alex--thank you for the kind words!! I, of course, have all these you reviewed (along with the B&W version of the 15th Anniversary edition) and also collect foreign editions of Hush. So far I have the Eaglemoss UK and Spain editions, French, Russian and Ukrainian. Would be willing to trade with folks who own editors from other countries! :D
Thank you! BIG fan of your work! Definitely it would be interesting to obtain international editions of Hush to see if we are missing out extras here in the US. PS: That Absolute WildCATs wraparound work you did for the new edition... Just Mindblowing !
Fantastic video! I’m a fellow DC/Vertigo fan and I recently came across your channel and I’ve been stunned by the quality of it. Best wishes from Brazil!
Thank you so much! It looks like I have several followers from Brazil here on UA-cam and Twitter! I didnt know Brazil has such a huge Fanbase for all things Comics.
They release a new version called Batman Hush New Edition and they put all the extras that the absolute and 15th anniversary have but in a Trade Paperback form
Phenomenal video Alex! Both in visual quality and content. Loved the great plugs for LCS, inkers and colorist. Agree that they are under appreciated. Scott Williams and Alex Sinclair are definitely two of the best in the industry. Keep up the great work bud! LOL those Easter Eggs!!!
HUSH was my first ever Absolute Edition and it was what started me on collecting Absolutes and omnibus editions. I only own Batman Hush in absolute edition, after this it did not made any sense to buy HUSH in any other version lol.
Great overview! I've had the combined trade paperback, but just upgraded to the 15th Anniversary one. I really wanted this one in a collected hardcover but couldn't justify getting the Absolute. They're just a bit too expensive and too big for my taste. DC's Deluxe editions really are the perfect middle ground for me.
Great video, one edition that I don’t find to have been mentioned is the TPB edition of hush included in the 75th anniversary Batman Box that also has the first part of the court of owls and the dark knight returns.
I have all of these save for the Unwrapped, which I really wish I did not miss when it was in store shelves everywhere. But until I watched your video I wasn’t going to purchase the 15th Anny HC. But the completionist in me wants to pick it up for the collection... Great video.
There is also a just that is part of this dc series which I don't know what it is called but when the collection is completed it forms the justice league. This collection of books contains a lot of classics and is stupidly expensive
the trade is the best its the easy to read for its size and easy to hold and flip the pages the colours also pop on that paper .for the price its a winner , like getting floppies on better paper imo
Strange, no one ever seems to mention the 2017 LCSD B+W 15th Anniversary edition of Hush, limited to 1000 copies, I’ve been holding that for ages, waiting for the price to skyrocket lol
Great video, just subscribed. Looks like you missed the original 2 volume TPB. You have the 2 HC in the video, the covers for the 2 TPBs look pretty much the same, so I guess there's no different.
+Anaken RYZEN Abad Thanks so much ! Appreciate it! Absolute contains all the extras and you get the overized pages. If you haven't read the story .. you should be able to get the trade on the cheap end.. Also 8700K for the win 😆 (I'm still waiting for Ryzen 2 in Feb though)
For Jim Lee, I would say both! I have yet to own all the Noir releases but I hope they keep them coming. Start with Hush & Killing Joke..... Both Lee and Bolland's work definitely is so jawdropping especially on the paperstock Noir releases uses. I may do a video dedicated to the Noir releases once I obtain all of them.
The spine on my first absolute edition of Hush got all sorts of messed up. I tried loosening the spine before reading and all the segments popped out of the spine because the adhesive was very poorly applied. Never had that happen before. Now I'm too afraid to open up my newer copy of the absolute.
Damn. So sorry to hear that! That must have been a dud copy because my personal experience with Absolutes is on the other end of the scale (i.e they use too much glue and it spills on the pages). I have had purchases where pages were stuck together (see my Absolute Transmetropolitan review)
The Deluxe Edition I'm thinking maybe since Hush was one of the first absolute they released, it has a slightly flawed design. I have other Absolutes and they are absolutely flawless. No pun intended.
+Aidan Keasko Hi Aidan... No need for Absolutes as the page count goes no where near Omni editions. I plan releasing a quick interim showcasing all the DC Metal covers I picked up in the next days before a proper review. I have been reading a lot on the floppies side.. so much good material has been coming out of DC on a weekly basis...
Alex, comics enthusiasts. I want to buy Batman Hush for my collection, I'm debating between Absolute edition and 15th Anniversary. Two questions: The second one has the same content than the first one? The only difference in the Absolute edition is the size of the pages and the gorgeous coloring? Because I would really like to get the Absolute edition to start my collection in that format, but it's really a little bit expensive.
+Spencer Welch Great Question! Yes the Absolute Edition has all the sketches but there is a slight deviation and a bit of cropping between the two. For example, The absolute has a sketch that is cropped compared to the standard hardcover (vol.2)
I think its kind of a ... bummer... that DC decided to give us the deluxe anniversary book and not even a year later, we get the COMPLETE omnibus with every Hush story in it.
Agreed! It would’ve been great if we had that last year instead of the anniversary but from a business perspective, Hush always sells so I can see why DC did this.
Beautiful work as always Alex. Will hunt down the singles next year and hopefully I won´t have to sell stuff to afford them ;P And maybe buy the paperback just because so I can have the complete set just as you do hehe.
Thanks Joakim!!! It would be amazing if DC solicited a Gallery Edition of Hush. I have yet to own a Gallery Edition but I think Hush would be my first...
I know this will sound like blasphemy, but I collected it over the first 12 issues of the Walmart 100-page giants. I first read it in collected form (via the two-volume set) in the mid-2000s and didn't care much for it at all, but having read it as intended (month-by-month over the course of a year), I found myself enjoying it far more. It isn't paced like a proper graphic novel (e.g. The Killing Joke, Son of the Demon, and Arkham Asylum), nor even like a miniseries (e.g. The Dark Knight Returns, The Cult, and Shaman). It's paced like 12 single issues, each of which are determined to hook you with a gimmicky cliffhanger on the last page. In collected form, I find this kind of storytelling annoying. In single-issue form, I find it fun. That's not to say that collected editions have no value. For instance, I think Knightfall reads better collected than issue-by-issue (based on my experiences reading it across the various Bat-titles back in 1993). Then again, the single issues of Knightfall tend not to end on big cliffhangers, so the issue transitions are less jarring.
The deluxe edition: this book was drawn by the best of the best, and by the best of the best I mean the pencils of Jim lee and Alex Sinclair colors, cause Scott Williams only inked but nothing else
The Deluxe Edition Really? I thought you were 😁, nationality aside, this channel is all about quality, keep up the great work! Would you consider to do a review of all the DKR editions?
That's a great idea and I'm definitely eager to do one... The only problem is that I do not have any of the floppies and several older collected editions... Sounds like a new purchasing spree coming up!
I have been for a while now but moved my weekly pickups and rants to Instagram and Twitter... UA-cam will be more of a space for spotlight releases and edition comparisons.
would never buy this do to the fact that Jim Lee abuses his position in DC and releases all his work multiple times in different formats while i cant get much better runs by other artist like Gail Simone or John Byrne in any hardcover format. Yet there is how many version of Hush. Long Halloween is better as well yet that only has a few

Hi ,I have Indian editions of Hush if you'd like to have ..
@@aminmecci2441 I would love it! Please email me at sinccolorstore@gmail.com and we can figure a way fir me to pay for them.
Please do more of these breakdown videos, this was pure eye candy to watch!
So you're one of the few lucky souls that has that statue. I'm jealous.
I liked that you showed how it ends and every character that comes out in it! Excellent!
Bruh I love how you make your videos im surprised this channel isn’t bigger
Thank you so much! Hopefully in the future!
The editions you have stacked at 5:34 are the same ones I have.
The unwrapped edition is my favorite I just love the pencils from artists and Jim lee can’t be denied
You made the best videos, plz don't stop making them🥺
Is impossible not to cry with this
I had the TPB version but sold it because I wanted the 15th Anniversary one which I got and love it.
Awesome!!
Holy, your filming is deadass amazing great job

Love that Superman bit, lol 😂
They release a new version called Batman Hush New Edition and they put all the extras that the absolute and 15th anniversary have but in a Trade Paperback form
Saw a wrestlemania 19 poster in that floppy lol. Wow time flies. But thanks for the video. Was wondering the difference between each editions

Absolute
Just go Absolute for everything. They look good on the shelf together.
Absolute if your bookshelf allows it....
Go 15th because I'd rather save up on another absolute and the 15th is well mad hc
*made
Super helpful video. Thank you!
Like the trade paperbacks. Cool story. Do not get absolutes..
It is better 😅😅😅
I just picked up the 15th anniversary edition. I am very relieved to find out that I have one of the better offerings! :)

They're releasing a new version of Unwrapped in a couple of months.
I might get the unrapped for my first read.
Thank you so much for this video. I'm trying to complete my Batman Hush (All Editions) Collection.
Defects aside, such as warping, I'm a huge fan of the "Modern Classics" line, which Watchmen was recently released under.
Thanks great video.

I have the TPB, which is fine for me, though having the single issues would be nice just to habe them
Having the pristine Singles is still on my to buy list.....
@@TheDeluxeEdition you should do a video with the Batman Jeph Loeb Tim Sale Omnibus

Good video for someone like me just getting into this stuff. Are there any other editions since this was made?
0:31 holy gosh that was so satisfying to see lol. Subbed.
Great work (and video) as usual! Keep up with your good job, mate.
Thanks man!
amazing as always I only have the unwrapped edition
Thanks Ashley! Glad you got the Unwrapped Edition as its now out of print.
What about the Eaglemoss editions? i have them both, and they are quality hardback novels too.
Kind of late for this. But damn best b roll I've ever seen for comics. Getting absolute edition now.
Thanks so much!!
High quality video great in depth review 👏👏👏 as always
Many thanks! Appreciate the feedback!!
I had no Idea that the 15th anniversary edition had all the absolute extras. I'm buying it now.

Out of curiosity what are the two yellow Shadow of the Bat collections at 0:44?
Its the Breyfogle / Grant run from 1992 ... There is even a volume 3 which I havent gotten around to picking up.
Please do a review on your blackest night green lantern collection. We can see it on the shelf! 😂
Definitely waiting for a reason to do a Green Lantern video 😁 Most likely when the first Green Lantern by Morrison Trade is collected.

That was cancelled a long time ago by DC

When will you upload again Alex
i want that absolute
Superman : no no no no .... No no NOOoOOOO
Why does the deluxe have more pages listed on amazon than the absolute
I tend not to trust Amazon page count.

Batman hush become animate movie in 2019😉yeah!
And Omni dropping in March
Why is tight binding even a thing??? You think people would just know how to make books properly. This upsets me so much.
