Pencil Pine Falls

Given that the Lea River rose over a metre in a couple of hours the race venue had to be moved. It was relocated to the nearby Pencil Pine River in Cradle Valley. As a result many paddlers dropped off Pencil Pine Falls and also Knyvet Falls whilst some also paddled the shortened sprint race down Pencil Pine Cascades.
