Alternative Extreme Lea Race on Pencil Pine Cascades

Given that the Lea River rose over a metre in a couple of hours the race venue had to be moved. It was relocated to the nearby Pencil Pine River in Cradle Valley. As a result the race was shortened to a 200 metre sprint race down Pencil Pine Cascades. Many paddlers also dropped off Pencil Pine Falls and also Knyvet Falls.
