I have been down a James Blunt rabbit hole for about 2 weeks now and I cannot believe it took me so many years to discover his work! I only knew the "Your Beautiful" part of the chorus never realized how sad this song is. I love sad songs and boy James Blunt does not disappoint in that regard!

I was 15 years old when this song becomes my favorite that as I recollect my days wouldn't be complete without listening to this song, and the funny thing is that I didn't understand English at that time and still manage to kinda memorized the lyrics 😂 so really I was just completely impressed with his nice angelic voice....

By the 2000's, I had stopped following popular music when this song became a hit. I must say, from what I've heard from James Blunt so far, has been impressive. He has a terrific singing voice and sings with such emotion. I can definitely see why you both like him. He's obviously very talented.
Whenever I hear this, I'm instantly reminded of the place I worked when it was released. Right next to my ground floor (1st floor in Murica) office was our large workshop and warehouse and it had 4 guys working there with the lousiest voices you ever heard but they really used to put their heart and soul into singing along! The din was appalling! lol.
