This guy is so good, incredible.
The music is also inspirational. I've had (and im still recovering) 26 months straight of almost constant stress, frustrations and conflict because of someone i collided with at my job.
I lost my job more than a year ago because of it and my life at the moment is a big pile of mysery.
Music like this give me some strength, although it sounds like it is aimed at a lady, i can relate to it.
Dermot kennedy is a legend, but i didnt know he was that well known in the us yet, so its pretty cool.

I ve been listening everyday to his music, in the car heading to work, at work, in my way back, to fall asleep, to feel better, to cry.... he has become my my safe space where I zone out and feel peace. I love your post! You described exactly what I do with his music and what it does to and for me. I listen to him every day as well. I never just casually listen to him. It's not just the sound of his voice itself that is unique and powerful, and it's not just that he does put so much feeling and expression in his voice. There is something else that I just can't describe. There is something intrinsic that hits me deep inside and depending on where I am listening to his music, or how I am feeling at the time, I inevitably get choked up. Your sentence "he has become my safe space where I zone out and feel peace" is a perfect description of the times I will turn my living lights very low, lay on the couch, close my eyes, and let his voice take me away and I'll cry, cry, cry... but the "emotional release" kind of crying. The kind that re-centers your emotions and keeps them alive. I love knowing that there are other fans that are touched and experience his music in the same deep way. No other singer has ever done this to me.
