This song had become an anthem for me and my partner. We are expecting our firstborn in 3 weeks time but just before Christmas I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer at 30 years old. Better days are coming...

Coming from a very dysfunctional family, with all the dramas and struggles that come with it, it took me a while to realize that we are not what happened to us. Healing is a process, a commitment, and sometimes it is hard, it hurts and we have to make choices that make us feel sad but the change has to come from within first. Then life changes too. We don't always see it, or feel it clearly, it is discreet and subtle, but yes, slowly, better days do come.Take heart ♡

I heard Declan’s record ‘I used to mean something to someone’ recently’ and it really struck a chord in me as my beloved husband died 4 months ago, and this song is how I feel - and feel I don’t mean anything to anyone now. And I would love to have listened to him together as I know he would have loved is voice (he was a singer also).
