The fact that Kalameet was able to kill Centipede Demon on the first go WHILE taking lava damage is insane. Even the other DLC bosses needed lava damage negated to win.

Yeah when it started with him getting stagger locked I was going to be really disappointed, but then he started dodging attacks and I was really rooting for him. He's got some good moves, but yeah those early hits really messed him up.
You can probably lore that, old man just isn't cut out to fight dragons anymore, but if he had turned up in Oolacile back in the day he could've easily dealt with Kalameet

Kalameet did much better than Manus or Artorias did. It's the range advantage and the enormous defense, while Manus didn't use his magic much. Also, Kalameet killed Ornstein real quick. Winners: none Draws: Capra Demon, Gravelord Nito: arena too small. Interestingly, both are also bosses that have minions in the arena with them.
I don't think Nito's arena was too small per se? It seems more like Kalameet was colliding with the geometry in a wonky way that forced him upward. If Kalameet had managed to actually flame downward, the Capra Demon would have been toast.
"Even mighty Anor Londo dared not provoke his ire." If Kalameet had actually managed to break out of the loop and flame down, the Capra Demon would have been a goner for sure. Goat boy is allergic to fire, and Kalameet's breath burns hot. Kalameet wrecking Seath was highly appropriate. Imagine if he'd actually used Eye of Calamity on any of them.

Hey, it worked. A lot of people blame not being in his own arena, but I think the bosses' movement patterns are the real kicker. The average boss doesn't move like a player would, and thus probably doesn't provoke him to mix it up too much. You'll notice he does a lot more melee against Gwyn, who _is_ running in close like a player would.

He didn't take much lava damage cause he was on the island most of the time.
