The kitty cut, but I'm not sure if that's good for someone with straight, fine hair? It's not Super fine though. And would you think that my stylist would know what that was? I'd be afraid to be set on getting it, only to find out that she didn't know what it was, & then I'd be at a loss to be able to describe it to her.

You have to be super clear with visual references. If she doesn't know the term "kitty cut", if she's skilled, she will be able to see the shape of the cut and the layering from the pictures and recreate it.

You’re getting a blunt bob, chin length. I’m glad they’re in again - with a few exceptions, a blunt bob has been my go-to haircut for 35 years. You guessed it, I have fine hair! 😁 I actually have a bit of natural wave, but I never have problems air-drying this cut. It always looks flattering and pulled-together, and takes minutes to style. Keep in mind I first got this haircut when everyone wanted their hair big, bigger, biggest, and 45 minutes of styling with blow dryer and hot rollers wasn’t unusual. I told my hairdresser I didn’t want to spend 45 minutes styling my hair, and he gave me this. I couldn’t BELIEVE how perfect it was for me. All the best with yours!

Hey, Gabi! This is so ironic that you just posted this today because I got Birkin bangs last week. You are right about this cut totally changing your look. I couldn't believe how different my look became, and I love it! I also received so many compliments. I do have fine, straight hair, making styling a breeze. Just a light spray of medium hairspray keeps the bangs perfect throughout the day.

you are totally right about most stylists not knowing how to cut curly hair ,not even just basic cuts .i have curly hair and struggle finding someone who can cut it. i want a curly shag cut but imossible to find someone who can actually do it without ruining my curly hair . people who dont have curly hair cant understand the struggle lol. cant wait to see your new chin lenght blunt bob
My sister has extremely extremely curly hair and it’s a real struggle for her too! You really have to fine someone who specializes in that because the techniques are completely different!
I found a curly stylist and it's made all the difference. If you want to wear your natural hair, find a curly stylist. Google curly hair specialist near me.
Check out @jayne_edosalon. She’s in LA area now, sometimes goes up to her Oakland salon. If you can’t go there she has training packages on how to cut your own layers.
Blunt bob is your choice! Mine too, sort of. I am pushing 70, and my hair used to just be a bit swishy, mostly straight. I sported what was called an undercut bob most of the time. It tended to want to flip and still does. As I aged and lost color, my hair has become a mix of straight (as it leaves my scalp), wavy, and curly. It has been so difficult to find a low maintenance hair style for the humid climate in which I live. After many different experiments, I now have a chin length bob with just a bit of low top layer to let the curls go free. It is working out very well. I have always had those bangs too. Hi Gabi! The chin length blunt bob will look gorgeous with your shiny tresses! I wish I could grow my pixie out to a bob but it’s too fine and thin, especially in the front. So I will have to be satisfied to admire those who can rock that style!

I am currently trying to grow out a pixie that I had cut suuuuuper short right before Thanksgiving. It made my bone structure really look nice, but I realize I prefer a softer, longer hairstyle on me. I will probably work my way through a shaggy bob and into a face framing mid-length haircut going forward. I've tried doing a bob without bangs, but I now realize that I need bangs and layering for my hair texture and to soften my overall look. I had to cut my knee length hair to 3:26 the blonde's length. I'm not happy about it. Imagine something you love so much is taken away in seconds. This video helped me bring back some confidence.
I had superlong hair until my 40s Don't mourn the length change. Try some styles you couldn't do with the long length. Remember that hair grows, too. If you can't wait; there are extensions or even wigs. Good luck!❤

You are getting yours recut into a chin length blunt bob! You always look so beautiful no matter how you wear your hair! I have been growing my hair out for a year and it's finally a medium length bob. I was having issues with the triangle shape due to my thick hair so she added some layers the last time I went and I love it, but think I could actually use some more on the side where I part my hair to give it more movement and take away some bulk. I love going back to your videos where you show several quick and easy ways to style hair with accessories. My hair is on the thicker side and I would love to be able to do some fun things with it between washes besides pulling it back in clawclips or a ponytail holder. Can't wait to see the results of your cut!

I love blunt bobs but I have such thick and wavy frizzy hair that I have to heat style it a lot. Contemplating getting it again with hidden layers and getting it thinned out. I don’t mind styling it too much as i only wash/style twice a week.

I literally just gave myself a pretty significant trim, lol. I have wavy, very fine, low density hair. I had a bob that looked like a Christmas tree lol. I decided to round it out and very subtle face framing. I’m waiting for it to finish drying to see scrunchie it out and see the results 🤞🏻 Good luck on your blunt bob. I love it on you.
So true about the blunt bob. I'm 57 and I've had this haircut soooo many times throughout my adult life. But it needs to be cut perfectly, because my hair is VERY thick and straight, and I don't style it at all. So it can easily puff out and look bad. I'd say medium-thickness hair is the best for this cut (and yes your hair must be dead straight).

My hair is thin, but like you said, it looks thick with this style. On me, I prefer almost shoulder length, but it was worth trying! It will look amazing on you!
My 11 year old has been asking and getting the wolf cut since last summer! It’s a big sensation, looks really good on her, and she absolutely loves it! She started a new school in September and most of her friend have gotten the same cut! So my bet is definitely the wolf cut!

I’ve worn some form of Bob since the 80’s. I have baby fine, very thin straight hair so it’s the only style that gives me any volume. I switch it up now and again adding bangs but currently am growing them out (huge pain in the 🫏).
Love the Bob for you! I totally hear you on the bangs. When you have them, you want to grow them out, but when you do, suddenly you get the urge to cut them back in again!

I too am drawn to classic styles. Love a great sharp blunt cut bob which you’ll be showing us tomorrow. Love bangs, way high forehead, Birkin’s are my go to style and what I’ve been wearing with front fringed layering. So easy to take care of with hair on the thinner side. Blunt Bob... (not my brother-in-law) - I think your hair looked perfect when you had that before. The advantage is you are so good at styling it. Even though my hair is long, I still can use some of the styling tips, so that's my subscriber bonus!

I was waiting for it to get a little longer to cut in a short bob but really don’t want something that requires me to go back to straightening/blow drying everyday. I had long thick wavy type 2b hair halfway down my back and about 6 months ago I got it cut to my shoulders and its the best decision I ever made! It was SO much maintenance I actually started hating it when it was longer, now it's super easy to maintain and doesn't give me headaches when it is tied up. Loved this video definitely gave me some ideas!
I have a round curly cut with a fringe and wow this is the first time my hair has ever been on trend! 😭😅 So happy hair texture is more accepted these days. Also yes a curly specialist is key always! Do your research, good haircuts for curly hair are out there but sometimes hard to find.

I always want what I can't have - the triangle cut! (or blunt bob). No pixie cuts this year? My hair is too dense without layers. None of the styles look low maintenance. Curly hair is a lot of work. Butterfly, kitty, wolf also require styling. I need wash and go for dense, frizzy hair. It's hard to keep it short too.
You need a curly cut and it sounds like hydration, hydration, hydration. Try a clean leave in conditioner and a curling product. I use Miche Beauty (online), mask once a week, satin pillowcase or sleep bonnet.

I have baby fine stick straight hair that I’ve always fought with. I finally got a bag with wispy bangs and have had sooo many compliments and it’s dead easy for me to style!

me too i think the problem for me was i don’t have a sharp jawline, so the sharp haircut didnt match my rounded face😅

You are getting yours recut into a chin length blunt bob! You always look so beautiful no matter how you wear your hair! I have been growing my hair out for a year and it's finally a medium length bob. I was having issues with the triangle shape due to my thick hair so she added some layers the last time I went and I love it, but think I could actually use some more on the side where I part my hair to give it more movement and take away some bulk. I love going back to your videos where you show several quick and easy ways to style hair with accessories. My hair is on the thicker side and I would love to be able to do some fun things with it between washes besides pulling it back in clawclips or a ponytail holder. Can't wait to see the results of your cut!

The blunt bob, chin length. Mine is a bit longer between the bottom of the neck and just above the collar bone. It does help my hair look and feel thicker and fuller.

I love blunt bobs but I have such thick and wavy frizzy hair that I have to heat style it a lot. Contemplating getting it again with hidden layers and getting it thinned out. I don’t mind styling it too much as i only wash/style twice a week.

I literally just gave myself a pretty significant trim, lol. I have wavy, very fine, low density hair. I had a bob that looked like a Christmas tree lol. I decided to round it out and very subtle face framing. I’m waiting for it to finish drying to see scrunchie it out and see the results 🤞🏻 Good luck on your blunt bob. I love it on you.

So true about the blunt bob. I'm 57 and I've had this haircut soooo many times throughout my adult life. But it needs to be cut perfectly, because my hair is VERY thick and straight, and I don't style it at all. So it can easily puff out and look bad. I'd say medium-thickness hair is the best for this cut (and yes your hair must be dead straight).

My hair is thin, but like you said, it looks thick with this style. On me, I prefer almost shoulder length, but it was worth trying! It will look amazing on you!

I’ve worn some form of Bob since the 80’s. I have baby fine, very thin straight hair so it’s the only style that gives me any volume. I switch it up now and again adding bangs but currently am growing them out (huge pain in the 🫏).
Love the Bob for you! I totally hear you on the bangs. When you have them, you want to grow them out, but when you do, suddenly you get the urge to cut them back in again!

My hair is curly and fine. I have bangs, and when they get wet in the rain, they curl in the cutest way. I love it. My hair has a nice curl pattern in the front. The rest is a mess.

Love bangs, way high forehead, Birkin’s are my go to style and what I’ve been wearing with front fringed layering. So easy to take care of with hair on the thinner side. Blunt Bob... (not my brother-in-law) - I think your hair looked perfect when you had that before. The advantage is you are so good at styling it. Even though my hair is long, I still can use some of the styling tips, so that's my subscriber bonus!

I had long thick wavy type 2b hair halfway down my back and about 6 months ago I got it cut to my shoulders and its the best decision I ever made! It was SO much maintenance I actually started hating it when it was longer, now it's super easy to maintain and doesn't give me headaches when it is tied up. Loved this video definitely gave me some ideas!
I have a round curly cut with a fringe and wow this is the first time my hair has ever been on trend! 😭😅 So happy hair texture is more accepted these days. Also yes a curly specialist is key always! Do your research, good haircuts for curly hair are out there but sometimes hard to find.

I always want what I can't have - the triangle cut! (or blunt bob). No pixie cuts this year? My hair is too dense without layers. None of the styles look low maintenance. Curly hair is a lot of work. Butterfly, kitty, wolf also require styling. I need wash and go for dense, frizzy hair. It's hard to keep it short too.
You need a curly cut and it sounds like hydration, hydration, hydration. Try a clean leave in conditioner and a curling product. I use Miche Beauty (online), mask once a week, satin pillowcase or sleep bonnet.
