Good evening James. I purchased this pedal as soon as they were available. It has become a favorite. It blends well with other timed effects, and sounds good in all of my amps. Always enjoy your playing...masterful.
Thanks so much Andy. My action is generally as low as I can get away with. When I’m on the vintage guitars as is the case in this video it has to be a bit higher to accommodate for the rounder radius but 7.25” is still my favourite dimension despite the potential fret buzz on the big bends. Hope that helps! Anymore questions let me know 🎸
@@jamesfranklandguitar Thank you for getting back to me. Did you mean 7/64 in or it was a typo? I have to convert to mm and 7.25 doesn't quite make sense lol. Thanks again
@@jamesfranklandguitar Sorry, you're talking about fretboard radius! I've no idea about that, I measure mine on the 12th fret. I'm 1,5 mm (4/64") on both Es at the moment. Is that low?
@@andyglamrock No worries, yeah as the fretboard on the 7.25” radius guitars is so curved the action has to be a bit higher than the other guitars to stop buzzing when doing bigger bends, but I usually try to keep my action as low as possible. 1.5mm is pretty low too I’d say, I’ve not measured mine but I’d guess that’s about where I have the more modern guitars, 2mm on the older ones 🎸
Great playing and demo of the reverb pedal. I’ve been using this reverb for a few months now and I am satisfied with it. I’ve had a Keeley caverns 2, Strymon flint, Mxr m300, fender marine layer and a few others. Though most of them were great I found I just like to keep it simple. So this fender hammertone reverb fit the bill perfectly for me. Like you said it can go from subtle to ambient which makes it pretty versatile. It was between this and the JHS 3 series reverb and I’m glad I picked this fender pedal. It’s not the very best reverb I’ve ever owned but it’s simple, very versatile and sounds good so I’m happy with it. Just want to say I really enjoy your videos and your playing is always great. ✌🏻
I've been pretty impressed with the Hammertone range, I think Fender are onto a winner here, particularly given the price point. Lovely playing and demo as always James, thank you.
Thx for the video, the pedal is on fire rev time with hall setting is perfect sustain layer

Thanks very much Toney, I’ve found the same. I’ll have a video checking out the Hammertone delay soon on the channel too 🎸
That is by far one of the most elegant and calming display of massive amounts of tones ive witnessed. Absolutely beautiful man
Beautiful pedal and amazing playing as always. I've been meaning to ask you, what's your action height? Thank you!

Everything from you sounds great though
Haha thanks man, you’re too kind 🎸
Nice rundown of the pedal, conceisive review.

Can you tell me if it takes a battery?
You could use a 9V battery adaptor, but a battery won’t last long on a reverb

Thanks very much Chris, definitely impressed with the sounds in this one given it’s price point. Especially that plate setting 👌🎸
Is the reverb only coming from this unit? My unit doesn't sound this nice at all, although he is using much better amps than me.
Hey man, yeah all the reverb is from the pedal 🎸
hey I just got one of theese and curious what that steel slotted knob is for on the back?
To open up the unit.
