I want me one of them variety packs you were talking about real bad! I have been scouring the web for different varieties, and shipping has been crazy!
I do have some and use them occasionally on super gnarly stuff. they are pretty clunky for any fine work though. the thorn armor are good for picking up small stuff etc. they just need a redesign I think. The thorn resistant part is great, stuff just sneaks in between and they don't protedt the back of you hands at all.
I don't think of cactus as something that patrons would want, but maybe I'll do that. I can list some of the tpm on the website and announce there. There is a lot of it.
Is Tammy a better rootstock than PC? What do you think the best trichocereus rootstock would be that could propogate, grow, and push the fastest overall for doing a lot of grafting?
I wouldn't know. I have not used tammy yet. But given its vigor, I imagine it will be great. I don't know if there are any compatibility issues among trichs, but I doubt it is much of an issue. Otherwise you'd think it would be down to vigor as with rootstocks used with other plants. If you want a dwarf apple, you pick a low vigor, weak growing stock and vice versa. I like the idea of using seedlings the best, as they would not have any accumulated viral diseases, but I already have all these cacti established, so I'll use those til they run out. Obviously a well established plant will push more growth than a new, small seedling.
thanks, I have some. I actually make it. Never thought to use it, but makes sense. someone brought me a different kiind of sulphur that is in granules and doesn't dust. Works great. I'm not sure what it's called.
Just starting my collection. Do you have any ugly cuttings available? Starts? Mids? Pups? Please make me a collection of cuttings… been looking high and low….
There are many, but one of them is for selling trichocereus. The biggest one is the trichocereus community, but there are other local ones, like norcal, some for propagation, disease etc. I don't spend much time there, but they are very active. Reddit has some too, also very active. It's a pretty big scene.
@@TeamWachumaI am also a member of trichocereus community group. Good group and almost everyone is helpful no matter the question. New by or veteran hardly ever get rude comments
I am interested in the genetics as you described. I like your take on it and I agree completely. I’m looking for genetics not a beauty contest!
Never stop posting. Love your collection and insights

Good to know. That might happen soon. I have a lot of stuff sitting around, like tips cut off for grafting etc.
@@SkillCult well please let me know when you decide, thanks Hunter Trail!
Favorite cactus channel so far, love the videos, definitely gonna try to pick up some seedlings when there in stock again
Use welders gloves. Work pretty well

I definitely would love a cutting or two! Maybe do some for your patrons?

Have you tried using cinnamon instead of sulfur?
No, I might try that. someone gave me some sulfur that is granualr, so it doesn't dust up at all. I've been using that.
Question, why do you use sulfur over cinnamon?
i find it fascinating how much catctus seedling names tend to sound like radio station call signs.
Not sure I follow. Maybe I don't listen to the radio enough :)
thank you from big island ❤ aloha
Can I buy some of those
you said it is peroxide what you are spraying?
Yea, just the usual stuff you use on cuts.
I am interested in a starter pack
Oh, sorry, i thought you were talking about seedlings. I may actually have cuttings listed soon, including some scrappy collections of stuff...

You need the tbm-A crosses, athletic and very spineless.
You mean the spineless mutant bridges? I didn't know they flowered.
Try lime not sulfer. I saw someone somewhere that was using it. It is cheap, too.

Mine is growing so so slow in comparison to all my other seedlings that year.
Misspoke earlier the one going slow af is TPM X TBM
Some seedlings grow super slow for some reason. There seems to be a lot of variation in that particular trait.
What zone is this?
9A
Instead of using sulphur try cinnamon power…I use that on my cactus cuts and it’s organic
thanks. I keep forgetting to try that.
Who is this independent researcher that finds plants from South America to preserve them and their medicinal knowledge? I am interested in his work.
Ben Kamm of Sacred Succulents. He has a website, but it is pretty bare bones and just about cactus.

@@TeamWachuma Hope you don't use FB to sell these, I am interested in buying but refuse to use FB
@@ocpd23 Can't blame you, they suck. I will probably list some tpm on the website.

Nice cuts. I may inquire. Also I find that my thick bull hide gloves never get poked through.
Wear a damn mask
"please start selling ugly cuts"
I'm working on it slowly T_T gonna sell a shitfuckton of cereus repandus as well
