Awesome. I really love cactus and succulents. And im also started to collects CNS during covid-19 pandemic. Im just new and learning from its behaviour🌵
So many amazing things to look at, I could just walk around all day and admire all your cacti/succulents… just be jealous, I wish I could pick his brain.
It was indeed a privilege to do just that. I'm glad I could share a bit of what I saw and Rich's knowledge in this video. Thanks for the great comment!
Fantastic video, Debra and Rich! I would love more from him! I need to get to Paradise Valley to see his collection. I had no idea what it was until now!
Some very fascinating cacti and succulents!! Interesting and beautiful cultivars being created by Japanese collectors. I’ve seen gorgeous and very expensive cultivars of Gasteria coming from Japan. I could have watched a much longer tour of the collection outside and in the greenhouse; just awesome!! Hope he has his collection provided for in a will!!
Debra, can grow most things here but requires a lot dedication, especially in the winter. In the summer months May - October I leave all my 🌵 and Succulents out all the time and let the rain and sun ☀ take care of them. Only water the pots if very dry. We do get temperatures up to 100f as we did last year.
Would absolutely love to spend time there day dreaming. Amazing ariocarpus collection and cyphostemmas. It’s like the desert botanical gardens collection but in your own backyard! Thanks for the video!
I would love to see a walkthrough video of Rich's landscape. I moved from the Bay Area, CA to Phoenix, AZ August 2021. I enjoy agave the most but being in this region of the desert I will be exposed to vast amounts of cactus and will enjoy learning about them.
Wonderful tour. Impressed with Debra’s pronouncing! I have a cactus that bloomed beautiful long pink blooms, was many years old and burned up when our house and garden were lost in a CA wildfire. Can I send you a photo?
Thanks Carol. That's awful about losing your home. I also live in a wildfire-prone area of Southern CA, and am happy to help any way I can. Best way to email me is through my website, debraleebaldwin.com/contact/. Btw, some of those names were completely unfamiliar. (Wild guesses on pronunciation, LOL.)

What a beautiful collection. Makes me sorry I live in New Mexico where the winters are too cold for most of these plants.
And yet New Mexico has gorgeous plants that do well there and struggle everywhere else! And those skies!
Would absolutely love to spend time there day dreaming. Amazing ariocarpus collection and cyphostemmas. It’s like the desert botanical gardens collection but in your own backyard! Thanks for the video!
Thanks James for a wonderful comment, and many thanks (again) to Rich for sharing his collection.🤩

Good video
Thank you, Renato! Glad you liked it.
For mealy bug, drench the plant with Nofly, a fungus that will control mealy bug, mites thrips and etc
So interesting! Thanks, Rick.
Great video, great photography, great narration--great job! Does Rich give tours and/or have plants for sale?
Rich occasionally welcomes visitors who have been referred by friends, as well as fellow members of the Cactus & Succulent Society.
