I just wanted to thank you for making this video. This happened on my 98 zx11 and I thought I was going to have to take it to the mechanic. $6 dollar fix got me back up and running thank you again.

YOU SAVED MY LIFE I had just recently changed spark plugs rectifier stater and battery and starter selenoid and when I changed fuel pump and tried turning it on everything went dark and it wouldn’t turn on even w my jumper cables and i literally found your video and went outside to try it out and it work your a legend bro
Yooo I've done all the things you have. Even just wasted $360 on professional work and a new stator..... Put on by them. No fkn way the fuse is blown out. I just put an entire new starter relay on my 04Gsxr600..... This shit has me so fkn depressed................................
Thank you for the video! Checked my fuse and it wasn't blown up the top had melted because it is next to the battery and was working sometimes which made me think it was a fault wire somewhere. You saved me a lot of money, cheers
same with my bike
I checked the fusebox first and everything ok, then I star thinking how cars sometimes have more than 1 fusebox and found this 30 amp fuse. Nice video
My fuse wasn't blown, it just wanted to be taken out and put back in. Would never have thought of doing this before watching your video.
I cannot thank you enough!
Exactly the same problem on my KL250 Super Sherpa!
I found the 30a blade fuse plugged in below my solenoid and checked it. All good but still no power…
I never imagined that it was just the spare!
After watching your video, I pulled the top plug off of my solenoid to reveal the blown 30a fuse!
You are the man!
Thanks for taking the time to post this video.
🍻🍻🍻

Yep good stuff mate you helped someone in Australia I tried to jump start my bike hook the terminals up backwards and blew it
Hello mate, basicly i’ve done the same thing.Had a flat battery and a mate of mine said let’s touch both batteryes so the thing could start…worked 3-4 times, untill he touched the + with - and the other way.Fuse blown, changed the starter selenoid, new battery…but the thing won’t give a sign of life anymore….it’s a 04tmax 500
My bike was sat for a week in the garden, couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. Came across your video and boom.

Something caused the fuse to pop. Probably the exposed wire you mentioned. Should have taped it up at least. Aside from that, great video. Thanks

your welcome glad I was able to help
Thank you maaan! You are a life saver!!!
your welcome glad i was able to help
This video was very helpful
oh damn, first video ive seen with no dislike. props bro. Thanks for making a video like this
im always going to have some videos with dislikes, but those are the ones that rather see Chinese videos with cheesy music, something that would normally take time done in less then a min in the video & no explanation of what they are doing. the ones that give me the Likes are the ones that truly like that i explain what im doing to help guide them step by step to fix the issues. I'm not in it for the views I truly enjoy helping people out. The good will always out-way the bad.

FYI. CBR 500 R - had the same issue, no electrical power. Starter relay was good, battery was good and fuses were good. When I plug in the battery tender I can hear a high pitched sound. It was the voltage regulator. Now I’m waiting for it to come in the mail.
Same deal here. But mine keeps popping........
Thank you ! Thank You ! Thank You !

Having the exact same problem with my rsv4 but the fuse is OK. Maybe need to replace the starter relay?
Thanks this is the problem with my motorcycle.
didn't know there's even a fuse there .. but good to know ..👍
Hi I'm Collin Iv just bought a Honda lead scooter 100cc but it has no ignition power its the 2007 model
In the event this bike hasn't burned to the ground yet, PLEASE have someone who knows what they are doing consolidate your wiring. You can even have a bigger (or second) fuse box installed to help clean things up, and make it easier to loom everything together. Also, what's with the stripped insulation on the 12V lead to your starter relay? It's worth it to clean everything up and do it the right way. Bikes might be toys, but they're expensive toys. Protect your investment.
I do have a video on how to consolidate your wires. I still have my R3 to this day and still works great.
legend bro!
bloody legend got it
Thanks brto
I've had similar problem with my zx9r,all lights work Inc lights on clocks ,but odometer and clock are blank!! And there's nothing when press starter button.
Could it be same 35 amp fuse, and if so ,could the blow with age
thanks dude\
Thanks
is that rectangular gadget a temp sensor? I have one like that ... good video, thanks for the hints as I had==ve the same problem - I'll look for problem tomorrow ...
Renegade Carlos yes the rectangle is a ambient air temperature sensor look for it on my upcoming 5yr review video
That’s crazy iv had the same problem for a week and couldn’t figure it out and that’s all it was😂
That same thing happened to me, I was filing in traffic then suddenly the bike switched off, no power on the bike what so ever, idk what happened, the ignition was on bt the bike was dead, what do u think went wrong??? I have a 150cc scooter gy6
This guy is lonely for conversation and just wants to hear himself talk. Fwd to the 6 min. mark
Exactly.
No kidding. Saved me a lot of time.
MAAAAAAAAAAN YOU AINT LYIN
Look at those wires and fuses.
Good vid ima try on my Aprilia v4 my Kawasaki 300 is bulletproof but the aprilia didn’t turn on after I reconnect the battery the wrong way 😢
So I’m having the same issue on my r1 but the fuses aren’t blown should I just get a new starter relay because I was riding when it just died
before you just buy another starter relay check out this video I just did on how to check if its bad & needs to be replaced>>ua-cam.com/video/tS3_LxdCe2w/v-deo.html
Also all fuses are good
I have a 1986 Magna V65 and have the same issue. However, the fuse keeps blowing every time I replace it and connect the connector. I know this means there is a short somewhere but I cant find it. The negative terminal cable that connects to the solenoid is fragile but nothing is touching the frame and nothing else is either. Any ideas of what it might be?
check for exposed wire or it could be that one of the pins in the connector is not seated all the way in. electrical is always tricky
How many reasons are there to not start the bike? Can u plz let me know
I did everything you did but, had to go an extra step (diff bike). It turns out the ignition switch when "turned" it didn't "make contact", so no power. Idk much about bikes but, I just followed the link, from battery, fuses, relay and lastly, the issue was at the switch.
What was wrong with the switch?? Mine is blowing the headlight fuse over and over again the moment I try to push the start button. It’s really frustrating me. Any help would be appreciated
@@busakiller1117 My switch when "turned" its supposed to "make contact" with another metal piece, so the energy flows. It was not making "contact" (had to put the small pieces together, then once it make contact, the rest would work. I came back to work on it another day, and I guess I "moved" something else, and now I need to figure that other part out.
But yours, it sounds like too much energy is going thru....every electric part (as I understand), is only able to handle so much "energy". If the fuse is blowing (preventing the headlight to blow up), its because too much energy is going thru. It seems you'd need to go backwards to find the issue. Good thing about UA-cam, there is videos for almost everything....may want to look at those where guys show how to test the current/energy. I don't have the knowledge but like most ppl, if there is time, I'd learn from others and try things out. But, I know how frustrating this can be. Good luck !
I have to wait till tomorrow to see if this is the problem. I ordered new relay. Battery giving 12.5 volts. As video stated, no power when key turned to on. Earlier it did turn on, I was getting 12.4 on fuse 1, and nothing on fuse 2. Though fuse 2 wasn't shorted (burned). Also was getting 12.4v on the relay prongs for plugin. I already have "non compatible" fuses. I'm not going to buy more that won't work. So i ordered the relay. I'd rather have a relay I know matches the type I need, than to guess at a fuse. I have 2, 30amp fuses. One new, One old. The old one, you can feel the friction as it goes into the slot. The new one doesn't. Therefore no conductivity. So, ordered new relay. If my lower 30A fuse wasn't giving any readings on power probe or multimeter, the replacement relay should fix it.
i see you have done some extensive testing to make sure on the issue
When i turn the key to the on position my bike has the same problem but if i leave it on, it will eventually turn on. Then when i start it, it will eventually turn off completely after idling for a little while. It will turn off faster if i give it a little rev. And then the key wont turn anything on again unless i wait.
How did I know ...then you said r3 lol
Do this work on scooters?
